Just a thought with the Sennheiser wireless for better connectivity, connect it to an 18” mic cable and set it on top of the speaker or even on a small/micro tripod.
DJAY Pro is completely awesome. I've used it exclusively since 2008. It's on my Mac, iPad and iPhone and everything syncs between all devices. It does everything other apps do. Regarding ceremonies, as there's always a good distance between the speakers and the guests, I've elected to keep the speakers on the ground to keep a very low profile. I have a small table for the mixer and wireless. Always worked great and I much prefer the look.
I just got the Bose S1 Pro and I have a battery powered Audio Technica lav/receiver. First ceremony is next month. 100% wireless. Woohoo! This will save me tons of work on load in and load out. My current ceremony rig is quite old and ridiculous.
Talk about line of sight! I did an outdoor ceremony in November and the way the groomsmen lined up...they were perfectly in line one after the other between the officiant and me. 16 groomsmen in line between me and the preacher! I could not freaking believe it! I started getting some dropouts and I moved the receiver off in the grass away from me to get a clearer path between the mic and receiver. Got better and made it through!
Hi, thanks for this review. I am planning to buy this but just want to know if I can connect this to the television when I do Karaoke as well? Will wait for your reply soon. Thanks!
Thank you for the tips man, I appreciate it. I am thinking of buying 2 of these for small venues parties (coffee shops). I have 2 main questions: 1.- Can it be connected to a dj controller (Pioneer SX2)(how about 2 of these?)? 2.- Are you able to play the same song coming out of your wired PAs and a S1 Pro at the same time? My idea is to have regular PAs via master in the main room and 1 s1 pro in the back in a smaller separate room. Thanks in advance.
Yeah you can. I would go xlr out right and left channel to each S1 Pro from the controller. For the PA setup, use the mix out on the PA and go into the S1. They can do pretty much whatever you need!
@@AaronStrawn Can you do this via Bluetooth? If so, would I need a pair with one transmitter or one for each pair? Or just use my XLRs and be done with it? LOL
Great video- thanks for all of them in fact! I want to keep the BT capability on the Bose S1 pro but still use the Bose Sub1. Is this possible? If so could you tell me how to set that up with no mixer if possible-thx
Using this speaker over the weekend for the first time for a wedding ceremony. My Ipad hub worked its way out and lost the connection to my mixer, but the bluetooth connected right of way without really missing a beat. Have you consider using a short XLR to XLR and place the Sennheiser unit on top of the speaker to have a better line of sight?
Nice one Aaron, cool review, I reckon we'll see more and more battery systems, with companies even specialising exclusively in them, like mobile app design v traditional software. Though not encouraged by the issues with the JBL EON ONE PRO, scary bad customer service, faults are so bad they just released a mkii to address the faulty design. This S1 is a handy system I just hate speaker stands, columns arrays look much better, the Maui 5 GO would be perfect with an additional XLR and reverb. Couple of questions and a suggestion 🥁 if you don't mind please : 1. Can you pair the S1 with a 2nd by Bluetooth say, for more volume ? 2. Have you tried the xVive wireless XLR adapters live, looking to buy them but not sure about the quality. Cheers 👍🏻 If you gaffer taped the wireless receiver with a 30cm XLR cable to the top of the speaker, would that address the line of sight issue ? Good advice on the relationship building. Brides are dealing with so many suppliers good communication hells us stand out 👍🏻👍🏻
Still love my S1 after 2 years of having it. I sent that Eon One Pro back for many reasons. Yes- you can pair 2 through Bluetooth using their connect app. I gave up on those XSW's. Even with them up on top, too much of a risk. Haven't tried out the xVive's, for me, I'm just running XLR cable for a remote speaker. No issues or risk
I am selling 2 of these speakers. Like New. I posted them on Offerup and Craigslist. With battery and charging cable. Fell on hard times. Hate to let them go. I'll be posting this on different videos. From Chicago.
Hi Aaron, thanks for the great videos on here!! Just wanted to ask you about the Bose s1 pro. I have one that I’m playing mp3 backing tracks through so I can do a vocal over the top. I find the bass of the speaker gets really tested with the mp3 track(connected from iPad Pro Bluetooth) and starts to distort at quite low volume. Do you find the same problem with this speaker? Thanks Sean
When I use it, I never need to push the volume cause it is mostly Ceremonies or background music. I'd suggest running your backtracks through an external mixer. It should make it sound even better for you. Hope that helps!
Good tips bro👍🏾
Thanks!
These speakers are awesome for singers. Not as much for music alone. But for karaoke, this speakers sounds insane.

You're right, line of site is what kills that thing. I ended up selling it, no use for it
Cool way to do reviews.
You sound honest and straight forward.
👍🏻
Thanks!

I love being wireless. Had a beach ceremony on Saturday and it was no problem
I appreciate your tips and being real about that BOSE device
Thanks!

Aaron just get a small xlr cable at place it on the the receiver on the speaker and you’re good to go. You’re welcome.
Number one thing in weddings is showing early so they are not freaking out.
Great Video, Is this loud enough to play in a church without any drummer?
Depends on the size of the room. These are great for smaller spaces
I use is my Sony u41 uhf and it works perfectly
Is that to create a remote speaker?
Great review. Thanks!
Hi Aaron. Would this be a good alternative for a booth monitor in combination with my l132’s ?
I know lots of DJs using these for monitors. I use it for mine at my house
Do the power connector hack so you can connect a wireless receiver 🤔
I'd electrocute myself lol
Hi, thanks for this review. I am planning to buy this but just want to know if I can connect this to the television when I do Karaoke as well? Will wait for your reply soon. Thanks!
Can’t connect it to a TV, but it has a built in mic and can go into sound mode and it will react to the music. Hope that helps!

Should be able to use BT when connected to sub 1. Never tried this though

That's a good idea for line of site- once I got half wave antennas, I don't have any drop out issues
Great stuff. Stay true!
Would this speaker be good for a booth speaker
I think so. I'm using it as one at my house

Hey Aaron. Do you like the Bose s1 more or the Maui 5 go?
Bose S1 for sure. I use it more, and it's way more mobile. I'm really kinda meh on the 5 Go
@@AaronStrawn thanks
Great video dude!
Thanks!

Try Reverb and FB Marketplace. I've had success selling gear on those
@@AaronStrawn Thanks, that will be my next move! 😎👍
What about modern wireless systems? They automatically choose free frequency for example
For sure, it’s definitely better. I decided to go wired for outside ceremonies this year. Too much of a headache and worry about
Do you think two s1 pros could fill up an outdoor patio bar with music?
Oh absolutely. I'm really impressed with the sound that comes out of the S1.
Depends on squared meterage of patio??
Bro there are long plug cables,I've got a 50m one...
What's this in reference to?
Boses like Moses Lol

Will this be good for as a dj stage monitor ?
Yep! I know a few DJs that do that
Can we use an electric guitar on it?
Absolutely!
Hey what was the Dj app you use on the iPad and the name of the bracket
The app is called djay and here is the stand: amzn.to/3hkWOyd
Thank you. I have two S1 and they are great when I Dj at the beach in nyc. Thanks again
Oh. I wanted the app you use on iPad. Not the stand. Lol.
@@edgarruiz8862 oh whoops. Sorry! Did you find the app?
I see Djay app but looks different not like what you have display
Where the sound quality?
Vocals are the most important part with reverb. Why would u not demo this. I think u need to go back to kindi
You've said this on every video lol..this guy just wants to hear me sing
How long does the battery last?
You should get 6-8 hours of battery out of it. I usually charge it if I know I'm going to use it cause it doesn't hold a charge
@@AaronStrawn thanks
What your app bro
DJay
Brother, I need a link to that iPad stand!
I got you! iPad Stand: amzn.to/3u83oeS
can it be used straight from electrical without using the battery?
Yep, it’ll work plugged in
15.7 pounds, not 21 pounds. Also, you we're looking for the possessive form of "Bose" not plural.
I noticed that after the video, good catch. I just thought I was stronger than I am lol
There's always one 🙄
best take this video down, you already sold it
I may rebuy it later, you know me! My kids can just keep rewearing their clothes another year
