Yes I forgot the fuel pump was completely knackered. So I ended up replacing the fuel pump twice. And the second replacement has been fine touch wood. New brake line . The 6 pot calibers rebuild. Still got the original tool kit. And the original stickers are on the bike except for swinging arm sticker. I didn't start it up for a month yesterday and it fired up first time on the button. A very reliable unit. I've done 9 thousand miles on since I had it rebuilt. Now showing 47.200 miles. I was actually given it for nothing originally. But have to put a lot of money 🤑 into it .But it is definitely a keeper for sure.
Had the carbs cleaned twice and new coils. Complete service. New front discs. To mention a few things. Loads more done to it. But the list is very long indeed. Yes it rides awesomely 😁.
I wasn’t really much of a fan of the SRAD when they first came out.. but, the looks have definitely matured and grown on me, to the point that I bought a ‘98 750 SRAD like the one here, a couple of years ago.. It’s a special bike that rides so well, even today. Proper screamer! 😎👌🏼
I have a 1996 SRAD in the very rare Gray and purple paint scheme. 7 years now. Put back on the road 🛣️. After it was left in the back of a garage for 7 years. And was in a sad way. Not now a brilliant bike. Looking at it now you won't have a clue.
Absolutely love my '99 blue/white 750 SRAD. Always wanted one since I first saw one in 1999 when I was 8 years old. Bought one back in 2021 after getting my license. Still one of the quickest, best looking (and sounding!) bikes out there. The way it rewards you with its high-pitched whine, trying to pull your arms off, when you really gun it.. Like nothing else. No traction control, no ABS, no nothing. Just you, the engine, and two wheels. Never getting rid of it!
Once I got my 1999 600 sorted out it was a great bike and very nimble but still had the power to pull the front wheel up out of the corners lol. Hope all is well Cheers from Southern California!
