Absolutely. What price is reputation? The reputation to push boundaries, build those special bikes that separates the good from the great.

Both beautiful bikes. Although I'd seen hundreds of pictures of the NR before I was taken aback by how "prototype" they look in the flesh.

@@MrArcovanA it was. Although I find trackday videos pretty boring. I did think of cutting down the footage of them on track but thought they're not seen often, the more screen time the better.

Similar from what I can gather. The v shape 750 and gear driven cams give a similar power delivery and note.

@nonyabusiness4151 Lol. Standing next to one and listening you'd be hard pressed to tell the sound difference between the RC36, RC40. A bike to invest in and look at but not really going to worry any of the big bikes at the time.

I've had a couple of vfrs. The rc36.1 and the 800fi too. Great bikes.

@@RetroSuperbikes Hey, I'm mostly curious about the most common 'failures', I already heard about the regulator.

@BorisBeer24 I'm aware they can get gearbox issues at high mileage, also ringland failure but the pistons can be swapped for the 04 1000cc pistons which also reduce the "slap" that 954's have.

@@RetroSuperbikes Ok cool thanks, I have my eyes on either a white one with 31k miles or a blue one with 20.5k miles. I like the white colour a lot, but the blue one just seems better with lower mileage and completly stock other then an Akra pipe. I always had gearbox issues with Hondas, my current vfr800fi also has issues and only has '7k' miles. I will look up more info on the piston slap, thanks a lot

@@RetroSuperbikes Can't beat the center exhaust and dash, plus great colour schemes while maintaining performance and rideability. Earlier and later ones just don't look as good with (sometimes massive) one sided exhaust.

@peterw6227 The CBR600RR I just reviewed has gone back to having the underseat exhaust. Looks quality

As long as you know not to go mad and feed the throttle in the more experienced you get then it's fine.

I love it. One of the last proper looking bikes in my opinion.

@@RetroSuperbikesgot one myself yellow/black they suffer from bad scratches on cylinder walls. Take it easy when cold engine and put the best oil in it and the bike will never let u down

@sugarrfree I'm hoping so. Always tend to do a pre summer oil and filter change and Motul oil.
