Greg Murphy debuts Holden V6 Twin-turbo engine at Mt Panorama ahead of the Bathurst 1000

Four-time Bathurst champion Greg Murphy takes to the 6.213km Mt Panorama circuit ahead of the 2017 Bathurst 1000 to debut the new Holden V6 Twin-turbo Supercars engine in the Triple Eight Project Sandman.

It's such a shame this project never took off properly. It was really looking like this was going to be at least something that Redbull would experiment with but alas, we never got it. We can only hold onto hope maybe the next generation of rule changes may be a bit kinder to different engine variations.

How good is the flutter when down shifting! A full on board lap would've been nice. Love watching Murph drive

I'm so glad that this transition from a V8 to a V6 sounds so good. Much better than when F1 did it. In my opinion this thing sounds just as good as the old V8. I like it.

Reminds me of the stock block Buicks that used to race in the Indy 500 up until 96. This V6 can growl! Love it!

Why are people so butthurt? Do people even realise their road going LS series is not the SB Chev the teams use? The chassis is not the chassis you drive on the road. These cars couldn't be further from the Holdens and Fords you actually drive.
