The graphics and the map size really did amaze me as a kid :P
same. i only got to watch my brother play it. but back in the day it was crazy to me
i wish i experienced it myself. i only ever died 3 times i a row because i didnt know how to play, then my brother took the remote. never experienced it again

Played the demo so much on OXM demo discs back then. This and Test Drive Unlimited on that disc was stunning.

The 360 was the lead platform for this. The PC version is a port of the og Xbox version for some reason. Also, the game was held back by the PS2 version. JC2 is what JC1 was supposed to be.
It might be because the Xbox Original was an Intel Pentium CPU, and porting between PS2, Xbox, Gamecube and PC was common in the ealry 2000's, so there would have been tools and methods ready to go.
Xbox 360 was a new console with a three core PowerPC based CPU.
Damn, i am oh so curious as to how they acquired the budget for the 2nd one, and that they improved it so much. Excited to see your videos on the sequels :)
They had money rev from other games, and decided to work on an old IP that sold good instead of developing a new IP, they then decided to listen to JC1 critics and there you go, JC2.
I saw someone play this game and, Just Cause 3 is so insanely fun that It's so hard to believe that this is where it started.

It could've been I was a kid playing just cause 1 and 2 so I didn't mind the over the top stuff

When I played it on release it was a banger back in the time so yeah it got a lot of problems that other old game have unfortunately and that's something that's hard sometimes to take in account but great video !
Even though this game is kinda shit, it’s still impressive a world of its size could be made to run on the 6th gen consoles, the ps2/xbox

It's a shame that you didn't at least mention the soundtrack. I can't think of another game that has specific music cues that play depending on what kind of vehicle you're driving/flying... Some of those cues that accompany you through those menials side quests were really funky - and made those missions a little more bearable... at least for me.
That choral cue that plays when you're skydiving gives me chills just thinking about it.
As a tiny little fart sniffer in ‘06 I had me one of those gaming magazines (prior to its release). There was a page dedicated to this game. I was on the hype. Getting this on my ps2 for Xmas that year. Having endless time on my hands. I had a lot of making my own fun. That lead to discoveries.
This game has a lot of variety in its vehicles (especially the military vehicles). There are hidden khaki coloured vehicles hidden around the mad. I’ve seen a APC and a tank.
There are Aztec temples (one I remember being ran by some really rude jokers)
To be honest. If they ever remake this game. I want them to keep those things in mind.
Just cause 1 is bad compared to the it’s sequels
And we can say that avalanche studio did a good job build the whole series up

It basically had a lot of what i dreamed of i my head back then. Big map. Mountains sea. And being able to fly and drive anything and sky dive. When i was in high school id just fly around and skydive a lot and parachute into the jungle skimming the trees . It looks beautiful for its time too when youre in the sky
around 19:38 this is also incorrect as you do not need to complete the race with the provided vehicle multiple people have already said you can use others including helicopters to cheese the race
By the way jc4 is the biggest well technically I went to a corn of the map and measured the length and width using waypoints and it’s bigger in width then 3 and just slightly shorter in length then 3 so it’s already bigger then 3 and three has lots of water now it’s actually slightly smaller then 2 be 100 km2 but if you don’t include the water it is about the same size so 3 is the smallest ,then 1 ,then 2 (4 if you include water) ,then 4 is the biggest just had to point that out

alright part one fully finished and honestly this video was so terrible and mediocre i had the urge to click off there is so much wrong with what you said about just cause 1 a medicore video game but one where you failed mention multiple gameplay aspects or straight up didn't know how a grappling hook worked if i went on citing every single error and how bad your points were for the game we be here all day if anything this was on par with underthemayo type of terrible review
JC2 was the best of the series regarding stuff you could do. It was hoped that JC3 would just be the same but more of it, but was a disappointment in that regard. As for JC4, it was s**t.

No it deserved many sequel especially jc4 as I had the most fun on it as those sequels actually made the game become what it is today a beautiful huge open world with 4 biomes amazing and tons of explosions and creative ways to do stunts and kill people plus it had 3 amazing doc that I have loved more then any dlc in just cause and in a game
15:33 this is not the case on console, U can use L2 and shorten the distance till U reach the vehicle.
15:29 that not true about grapple gun at all you can pull yourself closer its binded to shift and crtl when you want to just use the vehicle for transportation or you want to steal it

@@rcplayground7 honestly same just cause is a sandbox that’s what it’s been made out to be and jc4 does that the best because it gives you so much freedom with lots of amazing vehicles, guns and gives you more tether options plus the biggest map out of them all with 4 biomes
