If you wanna check out a really, really charismatic voice...and a disturbing show...take a look at the german band called "Knorkator".
I'm sure your reaction would be epic.

    About metal people being friendly:
I'm from Finland. We have a lot of metal festivals. One of the biggest is held in the capital. Capital also host many other festivals throughout the year. It is well documented that the metal festival is the most peaceful one. I have heared elderly people liking the metal most, cause everyone is so nice, respectful and helpful. Police has stated that they have practically anything to do, and can enjoy the music and talk to people. Metal fans are really wholesome.

My experience is that any/all anger/frustration/anxiety/fear gets ripped out in the music. Thats how i do it anyway, and its always seemed like most everyone around me. The pits can get effing nutz, but outside of that, everyone is pretty decent. Screaming, jokes, zanny behavior... but its all in fun and we help each other. I buy drinks, help people up, always say hello, always shake hands or hug, and thank those helping me. Music brings out connections! Music is life!

Same here in the states. I'm a regular at ProgPower USA in Atlanta, and we've gotten to know the cops and the security team pretty well over the years. It's very non-eventful as far as security needs go. It's funny to see all these black t-shirt wearing folks. We look pretty menacing, but I think we're all engineers and accountants. LOL.

Oh darn! The question about how reaction channels help the metal scene (or the music community in general) got some really great answers which fit perfectly with how I see things. When I see a reactor launching a reaction to a song I've listened to for many years, I initially just want to see if the reactor likes it as much as I do. But when I see the whole video, I notice how the reactor likes it even more and for a whole other reason which I hadn't even realized existed. Seeing others analyse music is an eye-opener for sure. And as a non-singer myself, finding out how technically hard some songs are makes me even more impressed with the band's performance, arrangement and their overall skill. Those fresh eyes seeing the same song I've heard a million times opens up my own eyes even more. That's why I love reaction videos like The Charismatic Voice, Julia Nilon, Temple Music Academy, Tank the Tech and many others.

Yes for most of my life, music was Jazz R&B and Country. Metal was something that seemed to be a group of people making noise. You have lead me to the understanding that the people in metal are a very talented. If you turn the volume down just a bit, you can hear the intricate and innovated nature you will find in Jazz and the soulful messaging you can find in R&B and Country. My bad for taking so long to come to this realization. Your good for giving me that revelation

Don't worry brother, you have every right to think what you wish, being free to think and judge is what makes life better.
We are happy to hear that you are discovering a new world in metal, I hope you find good bands that make you happy and of course bang your head a lot!
Funny is that because of metal especially because of Ronnie James Dio (Elf/Rainbow/Black Sabbath/Dio) I discovered the world of Jazz and R&B, yes one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time encouraged me to look for other types and genres of music because of one of his bands, ELF.
So brother, you are not alone in the journey of finding new genres and opening your mind to a new world.

Without trying to sound like a dick, we've often been maligned, bullied and treated badly for being into it and having people from "the outside" actually stand up and say "these people are talented, they know what they are doing and are shredding it"

This may be now, but this wasn't always then. Particularly with thrash. When Metallica broke out with Ride the Lightning, it loosed the acceptability of crank. It had been a drug of the wastrels. It was suddenly cool. Friends who had once had an overnight experience with cocaine sorta bragged about having gone on 72 hour binges where, at the end, they superglued hairs across the door jambs and window sills to make sure that the CIA didn't break in while they crashed for a day and a half.
Now that the survivors are parents and grandparents, it is more a family affair.

I am male & have a near 5 octave range, yet had Opera & Classical friends look down on my music styles...until they had to stop singing & I am still going great...plus I can play any instrument except woodwind & brass...So I am a session player as well...showed up those snobs & then some! I love watching Elisabeth find something, or be recommended something (Dio, Maiden, Lzzy Hale & Nightwish come to mind), And as she listens, it is like watching the joy on a kid opening a wrapped present...It is so worth watching you and your fabulous critique. My favorite thing about the metal scene is the family vibe! A lot of people (with good reason) assume we're all angry, mean, aggressive people but then you read about people like death metal drummer Donald Tardy (Obituary) risking his own life to go into a hurricane to rescue a stray kitten from certain death. That is more indicative of what metal people are really like.

Last question was the best! It's exactly how I see and feel things! Rock/punk/metal people are very passionate but misunderstood. Our music is allways refered as "that noisy thing" without the proper attention to all the effort, education, training, dedication, passion and love we put into it.
It's been amazing to watch you discover the world of metal (atually, it's a whole UNIVERSE) with an open mind and see that you're actually enjoying that adventure and learning things that you didn't even knew existed, but that are so familiar to us! That makes us all feel apreciated, respected and understood.

What a fantastic video. I'm a Bloodstock die hard and it is so lovely to see somebody like yourself who knows the "art" of singing enjoying our tiny little corner of life. I've always been interested in singing and watching this gave me a hell of a lot more appreciation for what the bands that I love do. So thank you so very much. Keep up the great work you just got a new sub.

That was a great video. I particularly liked how you ended on how much of a benefit to metal worldwide all of these reaction channels (especially the ones like this one that do solid analysis as well) can be. I still see too much negativity in comments sometimes, not to mention the copyright claims by boneheaded rights holders (and their algorithms) who don't understand free advertising, when it can only be beneficial to our community to expose more people to metal!
Okay, we should be wary of people who want to come in and forcefully change things instead of enjoying metal's rich history and continuing evolution, but that caveat aside, I think more metalheads is all around a good thing.

Glad to see that you enjoyed being amongst us metal/punk folks! Welcome! Most of us aren't as scary as we (sometimes) look. If you want to really go into the belly of the beast as far as extreme vocals, there's a festival in Czech called "Obscene Extreme" every year. It's dedicated to mainly grindcore bands, and it looks like more fun than I can describe here. Everyone wears crazy costumes while some of the craziest music plays. You seem to be very interested in harsh vocals, and this is like a library of them. Love you and the channel, keep up the good work! Cheers.

I saw the name of this video and immediately thought the same thing as everyone else did. You guys went to Bloodstock!? Soo freaking cool! \m/ I have met 100’s of famous metal band musicians while they were on tour. My dad is the drummer in an original well known 70’s classic rock band so I always had an in with the music industry. I have been back stage many times, I have been on the stage or side stage while many bands have performed. I have been on tour busses. I have even been a roadie and helped bands set up there instruments before hand and then helped take them down after the bands set. You name it I have done it over the years in the entire rock world. Please keep the great work you do!!

You are one of the most genuine 'reactors'(if thats what its called) on youtube and i honestly wish you all the best and look forward to more insightful reactions.
