There is lanterns that makes a 15 luminosity in a small area but on the outside, the sun produces a 15 luminosity.. litteraly everywhere, so it’s not brighter than the outside.
I STRONGLY believe that most biomes should have their own background music such as how terraria does it new music for general over world, new music for desert, underground, skulk, nether, stuff like that. The songs that play in between are nice but then it fills back up with silence, I think dark gloomy songs playing while your exploring instead of silence would make the atmosphere amazing.
I feel like if they did that for the deep dark though it would be less Peaceful and more monotonous creepy and or unsettling due to the fact of what hides there
They already do this! In survival the only song that can play in the deep dark is the song in the video similar thing happen in the nether except for the warped forest, which is the only biome in the game that will never play music
Yeah it would be cool if there was even more biome specific music! There already are some specific songs that only ever play when you’re in the Nether that are quite creepy and atmospheric, and there’s also some songs that only play when you’re in an ocean/swimming underwater so some biome specific music is already in the game

Yeah it would be very cool if it was properly affected by the RTX, but because it appears dark makes me find it a bit more ominous and as if it is stalking you.
Videos like this highlight the issue I have with the Ancient Cities. There's so much incredible atmosphere in this insanely large structure, and yet there's no payoff. And, from the way it seems, that portal is staying shut. Basically, it's awesome to be there, but there's no reason to be.
I really enjoy how good RTX looks but when I was playing it with Kelly’s RTX as well, it’s just not at the point where I can casually play with it. I have a RTX 3060 Ti and there are weird lighting bugs that happen frequently especially when breaking blocks in dark areas, sort of like weird lighting changes/flashing and artifacts on the screen. I see it in this video (it’s a little harder than in person but I still see it) so I know it’s not just me. Really a bummer and I hope RTX in minecraft gets better.
The bugs could be caused by your graphics card even if it is raytracing capable it’s likely that it’s not powerful enough to run it smoothly. The artifacting is usually caused by slow light simulation which leaves ghosting effects and garbage noise when you move the camera To minimise the artefacts try turning down the render distance or if you are using a laptop plug it in so the gpa draws more power or fiddle with the settings of your gpu I experience it too and it does suck considering how much we paid for a graphics card to do this, but in Minecraft’s defence it is simulating light in a large open world and the performance is out of Mojangs hands considering how every world is randomly generated and how every resource pack is different
@@pugorilla8848 Nah thats just how much the graphics cards cost. I just got a new pc that costed $2000 and it can only run this between 60-75 fps on 8 chunks and 12 chunks of render distance. Pretty sure they also require you to need a good cpu not just a good gpu to even turn the option on.
I gotta say the deep dark glowing like this gives me undertale vibes lol, kinda fits the eerie feel you might get at times too, although I wanna see a more.. disturbing.. deep dark? Where the walls pulse every now and then and you hear strange clicks or other weird sounds that accompany it, man I wish we got new cave sounds in 1.19, I'm surprised we didn't like with the Nether update, it would be cool to have ambient sounds relating to how big a cave is, or what biome/material it is
2:10 This reminds me of the crazy looking cave with the high ceiling from Skyrim that you go to towards the end of the main quest-line. With the big castle structures and color on the walls. Very pretty. (Of course skyrim had much larger scale and more colour, but it didn't have rtx so I guess they're even)
i really like the blue lights, but it loses the darkness and with that, it loses the main stuff of the deep dark. the dark, it just feels wrong. apart from that, looks great.
Around 70 to 80 frames per second underground at 20 render distance but above surface where sunlight and shadows will be 50 to 60 frames per second with the same render distance of 20. I can always use 10 or 16 render distance to stay above 80 I think it's silly that a 3060 is a low end card that's slightly similar to the 1080ti just better technology.
We really need coloured lighting in Minecraft (Ik Mojang doesn't agree with it since it will break everything in MC but if they figure out how to implement that in MC Java then that'd be one of the best update for Minecraft visually)
I agree although it probably would make the light engine take 3x as much processing power but imagine 15 lvls of blue 15 lvls of green and 15 lvls of red then you got 3 values 255/r,255/g,255/b per block to get the hue color idk to me sound like alot of processing but I don't know how to code so I'm probably saying stuff no coder would do
@@SamyasaSwi Java is incapable of raytracing, or using RT cores on new GPU's. It's not true ray-tracing, it just uses a similar algorithm called path tracing, which is why you can see if visibly update itself as the light finds things to bounce off of, or cast shadows on.
This is hands-down the most beautiful thing I’ve seen all week. Trust me on this. I almost wish I was actually getting bashed by the warden in there than roasting marshmallows over my smoldering Intel chip. 🥺

This really shows how Minecraft needs to step up its game with its default graphics. The new biome here is transformed from boring slightly blue cave to beautiful, creepy and enchanting - it would do so much good for the default game to even have an ounce of this beauty.
I love the way this looks, it actually looks really well put together, whereas the vanilla deepdark with vanilla graphics almost looks like a cheap and lazy mod, imo.

This looked perfect because the shaders for the sculk kinda look like end gateway blocks, gateway blocks are my fav block btw, but also watching the person act like it was their first time experiencing the deep dark made it even better like the time when they stopped after hearing the sculk sensor 100000000000/10
as a gtx card user, i can say thats among the few things im jealous to not have. its spectacular and unexplainable, its not super real like java's seus ptgi but just right for minecraft, meaning we have both the smooth feeling as well as the realistic feeling. edit: just to clarificate, smooth feeling means no reflections everywhere much like most shaders. also i dont blame seus because its the man with the best realistic shaders, every shader just has its own perspective
Skulk is absolutely terrifying in my opinion, and probably in a lot of other peoples opinions as well. Skulk is like a powerful spreading plague, infesting caves, structures, and maybe even people. The Ancient City is probably the perfect representation of how much Skulk has influenced this world, and just the fact alone that where the Skulk came from and how it came here is unknown, its terrifying. Its clearly not from this world, an other worldly presence, but now its here, infesting its way through Cave systems and eventually the whole world
This rtx makes the warden scarier, since it doesn't light up the warden, when it sees you, all you hear is very fast footsteps while aiming a bow at the darkness, and you finally see it when you hit it
The deep dark ambient music combined with this gives the most amazing possible atomsphere

The bioluminescence with the slight darkness is just what I would think for the deep dark, it looks just great.

it would require them to rebuild the lighting system from the ground up and if you think of how far they've gotten it's too much to do.
