Building your first pc is nerve wracking. Especially waiting for a signal. Sometimes it takes a minute or two for the RAM and everything to initialize. I was like this with my first little build. I feel like I learned a lot from my first time, and I'm planning on building a better machine near the end of the year. Probably going for an AM5 build, so we'll see how that goes. Glad to see a lot of folks getting into PC.
It was definitely a learning experience, and nerve wracking too. It seems like the first PC build has a lot of commonalities from person to person, so it's cool to hear people relate, glad you'll be building another one down the road!
@@Kylink Oh yeah. It'll be next year though. The real fun comes when you want to start upgrading components. Adding drives, or adding new fans as they fail. You'll never stop tinkering with your rig bro.
Kind of funny to watch first time PC builders because they almost always freak out about how much force is required to install the ram. Nice job on your build. Fan direction is considered intake and exhaust, out take is a part of a film that is left out.
Thank you! I think I'll add one more exhaust fan on the back at some point to get closer to neutral pressure. The other day I heard that there's a TikTok of someone having the same reaction to installing the RAM too lol it is an alarming sound!
Rebooting it after plugging in the video cable did something because when the PC boots without anything connected to the GPU, whether a GPU card or on board GPU it may not detect it and so it doesn’t initialize video. I’ve had that happen many times.
Makes sense! I just knew rebooting tends to help with a lot of things but cool to know exactly why it helped in that situation. I was so happy when it worked lol
Hey, I can't seem to find the receipts but when I built it I crosschecked prices between newegg.com and pcpartpicker.com, also those are both a cool way to make sure everything is compatible if you want to change any parts. The GPU I bought locally to save a bit more money, but since the 40 Super series was released, I'm sure the 4070 Ti has seen a price drop 🙂 Try both of those sites and check locally for lower prices too!
Yup, that's me! lol The funny thing is unrelated to this, I almost chose Linus as my new DnD characters name... that would've started to feel weird after all these comments haha
It was definitely at the top of my price range, unfortunately I've lost some receipts though and prices have changed over time. The biggest thing that's changed is the 4070Ti Super has been released which is more powerful, smaller form factor and I believe is also cheaper, so the 4070Ti has lowered accordingly.
This is the most relatable and entertaining PC build on the net!
Thank you sir! This might be the nicest thing anyone's ever said to me *sniff* 🥹❤️

Underrated video
Thanks!
This hit me with so much nostalgia of when I first built a PC, first time is aways the most memorable.
Awesome, glad you got some nostalgia from it, this was definitely an experience I'll remember!
Wow, the edition is cool
