  • www.autobytel.com/cadillac/cts... In the past the CTS had to serve 2 roles for Cadillac: it was first the entry level car and second was the BMW 5-Series competitor. But now with the ATS; the 2014 Cadillac CTS has grown a couple of inches and can finally just be a mid-sized luxury car. The new redesigned CTS looks a lot like the ATS though and that is either a good thing or bad thing depending on what you think of Cadillac's new design direction. The CTS has a base price of $39,495 with the top-of-the-line model going for $69,070.
Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that makes 272 horsepower and 295 lb-ft. of torque. The transmission is a 6-speed automatic and fuel economy figures are 19 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway.
The most important part of a luxury car is the interior. The interior of the 2014 Cadillac CTS says "you have arrived." There are nice soft-touch leather materials along with natural wood trim that gives this car a "German feel." The suspension has the GM Magnetic Ride Controlled Shocks that really give the CTS a nice luxurious ride quality.
This Cadillac CTS tested here is the Premium model which is loaded with all the gadgets and technology you would expect out of a high-end German luxury car. Some of the systems include: Adaptive Cruise Control, a Self-Parking System, and a digital gauge cluster just to name a few.

Haha i got mine a 2016 in 2021 for 14k. I love every thing about it but the tiny little motor. The handling does make up for the lack of juice...its,fun as hell on a windibg road in sport mode.

I own this car in Black Raven/Cashmere. The CUE is fantastic. Car is awesome and loaded with options. Yes it is lighter weight. I didn't opt for the largest wheels; because it would make for a stiff ride. Mine is smooth riding. My 3rd and best CTS; by far the most expensive. $$$$.

This car is starting to grow on me. However, the 2.0T performs just as well as the 3.6, and I don't see the point of paying extra for the 3.6 unless you must have a V6. The 3.6 should be a no cost option in the CTS and the ATS.

  • @rueben44

That was dumb the ATS and CTS look nothing like each other. Also the interior of the last generation CTS was not crappy it was very nice and high quality. A troll that's it now I got it.

      The Truth
beauty is in the eyes of the beholder,if you dont like how Ford looks u may choose another brand, Focus became worlds most sold car in 2013 beating even the Toyota Corolla the perennial bore king maker car,so I dont think Fords look bad, Fusion or Mondeo is 3rd best selling sedan in the whole of USA escape or kuga and Focus also in top 5 sales spots,
fiesta is whole of Europes 3rd best selling car after Golf and 3 series,Focus is 6th best seller,
so is their new Luxury brand Lincoln posted 66% sales increase in the y2y sales ie between 2013-2014, new MKX is soo good that it might even topple traditional rivals like Mercedes GL and BMW x5 and Lexus Rx and so on,
i think Lincoln is moving in the right direction, every Lincoln till MKZ was sort of OK and were somewhat pseudo luxury cars,
but with new MKC Lincoln has moved the game, its really a good cuv,the MKX is really awesome from my perspective,
Europe too will get a taste of new MKX in Ford of new Ford Edge by 2016,

For all the reviews I've seen of this car, this is the only one to mention that ledge in front of the rear seats. What the hell is that??? I think if I had discovered that at a dealership, it would be deal off right then and there. No excuse for a premium car to have a space problem like that.

Humor? No from the jump he sounded like he really wasn't really into appreciating the car but using his preconcieved notions from the beginning. I mean "is this an ATS, oh the back say CTS", as big as you are you could tell the difference just by approaching it, design language is one thing but for the starting price of 45K i can do without some of the goodies.

Ugh, stop talking about the German so much. God, ever heard of Lexus, Infiniti, or Acura? God dammit I hate this generic monopolization of the performance luxury segment, completely oversaturated by BMW and Mercedes. This kind of perception is faulty and it's not letting any other automaker get a square deal.

Nice car, but this is NOT a $67K car, especially with a 4 cylinder. The 4 cyl turbos have some serious turbo-lag (which he didn't mention) - otherwise they have plenty of power. Those rear wheel wells look like they came off of a 1980 GM K Car, and it's the same look as the older CTS. Aesthetically, this car needs some body makeover.

I am getting the V6 420HP fully loaded in March, remember you get what you pay for,. and I would rather be happy!
Cadillac made car of the year 2013 & 2014 over the, Mercedes, BMW, and your Audi, you just want to pay for the name to impress the girls, because that's all the girls know about cars, give them a bag of hammers and they wouldn't know the difference! in time you will see. Go get a VW you will evan save more $.Do want to get a smaller girl's car, or drive a Man's car!! Audi's and Lexus are "want to bee's" any way!!!

Indeed there is a familial resemblance between the CTS and ATS, but at least its a good looking family! Audi cars, for example, also have a cohesive design language within their range, but (YAWN), they are very forgettable.

That's what I love about Audi's though. Everyone has their own opinion, but, I personally love the current looks of all the Audi models. Simple, sophisticated, and sexy. I feel like some car brands go way overboard with their designs and the car just ends up looking awkward and ugly. Like Lexus for example. Which is kind of ironic since Lexus basically took Audi's whole design and destroyed it.
