I was going to buy a Lexus but I was won over by the forward thinking of the pen holder. Having two pen choices has always been a dream for me.

I don't really care for Cadillac that much but one thing I absolutely love about this car that it doesn't have one of those stuck on screen infotainment systems I like the fact this one here is fully integrated into the dashboard and makes it look like Cadillac Engineers really took the time out to design the car and the infotainment system properly.

THE ONE BIG RED it’s because the scores are based on super car standards. It might get a 3 out of 10 for acceleration, based on super car standards. But for this car standards it would fare much better
Now that's a real luxury car. Nice exterior and interior design, laden with technology and cool gadgets, has plenty of power and doesn't cost as much as a country mansion to buy. That will give Mercedes & Co a run for their money. Welcome back Caddy!
The CT6 actually sold No. 2 to Mercedes during the time it was built. It outsold A8, 7-series, G90, and Lexus LS.

As a director for Cadillac for the last six years, the reason you can turn that mirror off is because it can give you motion sickness because it does me and I turn it off when I drive the vehicles but it’s absolutely night vision I use it at night to see a bigger picture

I bought a 2016 Cadillac CT6 with the Premium Luxury Package 2 months ago and it really is an AMAZING car. 😍😍 I LOVE everything about it and I know the one in the vid is a 2018 but despite a few minor differences it’s pretty much the same car imo. -Oh yeah, and Doug is the type of guy to lick his finger while flipping a page on an iPad.-
This video gets a Doug score of 7/10, it falls short due to the lack of "dash cam" footage and very few exterior shots. It also falls some due to no night vision test but is forgivable due to many other redeeming factors

I bought my 2018 Cadillac CT6 brand new with the 3.0TT and supercruise and it's the best car I've ever owned. Mine is pearl white the cinnamon leather and carbon fiber interior. The supercruise is a game-changer -- the car's handling and power are the icing on the cake.

Forgot to mention this car has all 4 wheels turn.
This is the main thing must be mentioned strongly for a big huge sedan car parking and driving.
He didnt have it on his car, its an option included in the Active chassis package.

Good review, but you misrepresented the rear view camera mirror. You said that toggle is to turn off the mirror and kinda made fun of it, but it’s actually an option to revert back to a normal mirror. IMO that’s amazing to have both options 👍🏼

Doug is the greatest, also the 15 to 25 on the chime sound stands for decibels.
Cadillac needs to start using higher quality materials. I have seen quite a few Cadillacs from the inside and even 2 year old cars already look older than they really are. The leather seats already had creases in them, the steering wheel looked really used. Not to mention the cheap plastics.
I would argue that your asking for the opposite in terms of leather finishings. All natural leather will eventually crack if not cared for. Faux leathers won’t. Just bad prior owners - didn’t condition or care for their vehicle. If it came from the factory like that it would be another story. But I still agree - American cars in general lack severely in terms of material options and overall design. Cadillac is certainly making strides to improve in that capacity but still needs considerable work.
As a non-american who hardly ever sees American cars in his own country apart from Fiestas and Focuses, it's always enjoyable to see Cadillacs, Lincolns, Ford Crown Vics, and other American cars that people in the States treat as normal ^_^

These Fords you've mentioned have literally nothing even remotely american in them. and as for why american cars aren't seen much outside the US is quality. even "cheap" european cars are usually miles ahead of US cars...

There are several display configuration options with the digital dash, you can pick the sport theme which gives the Tach more presence. You can also just have it on the heads up display, your choice.
This is a Cadillac. Few CT6 owners will care about the tach.

AK Safwat I care. Not only do we get to see where in-car technology is going, its very cool to see how each car brand will make a unique display. Also most of these features won't be in base model cars or in ones where all the options aren't selected. Also this isn't a sports car as much as it (seems) to be a very comfortable daily driver. Were you looking for an engine noise or sporty handling? Its a fucking cadillac. You missed the whole point.

It does work, I can guarantee you that.
It's infrared so it sees through sunglasses. It's similar to how Samsung iris scan also works through even the most guido mirrored lenses.
It works the same way my iPhone X can still read my face even with sunglasses on.
Technologists figure out innovations as well as ways people try to circumvent them.

Doug the type of guy to use all of his washer fluid cleaning his backup camera when it’s already clean.
The CTS is the most beautiful modern caddy in my opinion, especially the recently face-lifted one.
It's a shame they all have issues. CTS and ATS all have mold growing in the evaporator coil which requires 12 hours at the dealer removing the entire dash and seats to replace. Piston failures on the 2.0 turbo, 3.6tt on the vsport has several issues, steering column lock warning messages. The ATS and CTS are both garbage. I've owned three of them. I will never buy another Cadillac again. The CT6 suffers from transmission issues too. XT5 you cant even turn off auto start and stop. SRX was good, and Escalade is good too. Everything else is crap.

While a washer for your rear back up cameras are nice, I'd like a little nozzle that also blasts it with air because there are times when it's been particularly heavy with rain and you go to reverse and the camera is covered in water... a quick airblast would fix that.
Just higher a midget with an air compressor while we are asking for ridiculous thing in a POS American car ...

Doug made a point to take about the rear sunshade going down when in reverse and then back up when returned to drive. My 2011 Avalon Limited and my 2015 Genesis 3.8AWD both have this feature. Most cars with rear sunshades do this.
@2:20 Super Cruise is a window into the automotive future. By the end of the 2020s some Cadillac models will have full LIDAR mapped autonomy drive mode with option for "manual" (use caution) drive mode.

Cadillac is hinting towards a true "flagship" since they won't call the CT6 a flagship. Also since the discontinuation of the rest of the Cadillac car line-up, it would only be the CT5 and the "flagship" (based on the Escala concept car).

Moore tech and complicated buttons is luxury, and not spongy suspension and beautiful looks, it all looks awful
The temp controls have buttons for both dual zones in the front and dual zones in the back. You don’t have to use the touch screen or the trac pad, but it’s available for those who prefer it. I own a CT 6 and I change the temp with the buttons. No problem.
That infotainment system is the most impressive of all your reviews.
