So grateful to have stumbled upon your videos! I am thinking about making the move to recruiting after more than ten years working in industry as a CPA and I’ve been scouring the Internet for good content on this. Your energy level is infectious and is getting me so excited about this new chapter in my career. Thanks for the transparency and genuine opinions!
Degree part even for entry level is there. Most of these places want a bachelors at the minimum. I know you started seven years ago so it’s changed now apparently.
Hi Preston, thank you for creating this great video. I would love to get into the recruiting industry but I I'm a little bit on the older side of life. Do you have a course or are there any great online courses I can take to acquire the knowledge I need to get started? Thanks in advance!
@@RecruiterPreston | Ok, thank you very much! I'll continue to follow you. Maybe you'll be all that I need. I'm sure your other subscribers would agree that you provide great info!
I am currently employed as a music teacher in the public school system. I doubt that I will do this for even 5 more years. I've been curious about recruiting and tech recruiting but don't know how to get into it. Help?
What company/agency is a good one too start off with to teach you the right tools. I have watched a few of your videos so far trying to see if you say which agency or company you begin with her to see if I can start where you did.
Can you give a software engineer that is disenfranchised with coding all day and considering a career change into technical recruitment? I know the skill sets required and have worked with many technical recruiters in all stages of the hiring process.
Hi Preston, you say you started with a $35K salary, but I thought recruiters were 100% commission positions. Are there recruiting jobs that pay a salary? Can you please explain. Thanks!
There are all types of pay in the recruiting world. Some do salaries/draw while others do comission only. When i had a job, it was a salary + commission. Working for myself, its 100% commission based

Thanks for reaching out. Easiest route is to get an entry level job at an agency and see if it’s for you!
What company/agency is a good one too start off with to teach you the right tools. I have watched a few of your videos so far trying to see if you say which agency or company you begin with her to see if I can start where you did.
My guess is to start at google as I don’t know many agencies by name nor know how the ones I do know are good.
Yes how do I start my own agency? I get soooooo many people jobs and don’t get paid for it!!! It’s my gift but I want to get paid for it too
Will make videos touching on this!
