Thanks a lot for these great advice, Iam shifting my career nowadays from sales into HR in pharmaceutical industry and I wasn’t sure which HR function would suit me the best and I guess it’s recruitment, maybe start looking for that specially , thanks again.
That's really interesting, I used to recruit for sales roles in the pharma industry. Yes have a look for dual roles or Talent Acquisition - a lot of pharma companies have those functions.
@@raniayousef58 I meant a HR role with recruitment responsibilities - as it's not always a big part of the job depending on the organisation you join. I've trained someone before who worked in HR but they had a 50/50 split between that and recruitment.
Really appreciate this video, I've applied for a trainee recruitment role to move into from retail, I love working with people as I'm a social person and love to help people progress so I hope the move is a good decision! Thanks for the info 👍

I want to get into recruitment but don’t feel ready enough due to lack of confidence when it comes to working on the phone and communication in general, is their anything you would suggest in this situation?
What can help is getting a job in the interim that will give you some experience in dealing with and speaking to people on the phone. I worked in a call centre before I went into recruitment, and it was the perfect experience for me to develop my skills and prepare me for the working world. I had training to help me get used to working on the phone all day. If you're not keen on something like that, even a customer facing job would be beneficial to give you some confidence. If you join the right recruitment company, they will give you training and help you develop your communication skills don't worry :). Hope that helps.
Thank you, so glad you enjoyed it. I don't know of any with the clients I'm supporting at the moment, but there will be some! Where in the UK are you planning to move to?
@@kateoneillrecruitmentcoaching Thank you so much for your reply 🌸 you are really kind. I do not have any specific location in my mind, however as I have been to London and it's outskirts so I believe if I get an opportunity to move to London, that would be great.
@@daminitanver6785 There are a lot of recruitment agencies in London, so I'm sure there will be ones that offer sponsorship. If you have LinkedIn I would start connecting with agencies in London and the outskirts, then messaging any of the managers/owners. This is great as I have an interview for a trainee recruitment consultant tomorrow! It’s good to see how things work.
