Rooting for BMW this year, started off good with a win in the 24 hours of Dubai, but can't wait for the rest of the year! Gonna be the best year yet for WEC / IMSA in terms of fan support and racing quality!
Lovely video. Always look forward to your content. I do think listing the transmission was kinda pointless as they’re all 6 speed as of GT3 regs. I woulda loved to have the teams physically listed under which series they’re competing in instead of just a number. Although I know that’s a fuck ton of research. Looking forward to your next video!
Thank you for your support, I appreciate it! Yes I agree with your suggestion, I think for the next one I won’t include the gearbox as it’s pretty much the same information. Each individual teams would be best, but yeah it’s a lot of research lol, but maybe I’ll try that for the next video like this! Thanks for watching!
The new M4 EVO has already shown promise taking the overall win at the 24 Hours of Dubai and winning one of the subclasses and the 911 GT3 R taking 2nd and 3rd overall continuing to show their strength from last year. Can't wait to see how each car stacks up at the rolex 24
actually, it is unknown if Aston Martin will actually be competing in IGTC as no entry list for IGTC has been published yet. IGTC is a very specific grouping. Competing in races on the IGTC Calendar (e.g. Bathurst) is not the same as competing in IGTC.
Great video. Maybe you’ve done it already but it would be interesting to break down the difference in the engines and the advantages/ disadvantages of each unit. The philosophy of the choice of litres and so on.
Glickenhaus hinted last year a comeback to the ring. There hasn't been so much updates since they are focused on the road versions that have started production last year. Let's see, it would be great to have a second chassis as they mentioned in the past
Yeah, I wonder how long this video would be if you adding all of the National or Regional SRO GT3 manufacturers too... lol. I do like watching the Japanese series with the Nissan GTR, Callaway Corvette and others.
The Corvette i’d assume could run a couple more IGTC races since TF Sport has expressed interest in racing the N24 and Spa 24 Hours. Assuming no other team is interesting in racing Corvettes this year in other series or NLS. Especially since GM executives has been present at the N24 prior to the release of the Z06 GT3.R. At least in 2023, idk if they were there last year or not. Add that the German team HRT is gonna be racing Ford Mustangs in I’m assuming all NLS races and of course the N24, u can probably guess the American car brand rivals will definitely duke it out in the German Eifel Moutain and the Belgian Ardennes.
Ford Not Yet Confirmed in WEC or Intercontinental GT Challenge. Proton swapped Mustang GT3s for porches 911s in IMSA and GTWC, they have not yet confirmed whether they will continue in LMGT3 with the Mustang GT3s in WEC.
Already on the confirmed wec entry list & reid said last year that the imsa mustang program was to help with development & the gtwce endurance entry cup was last minute after dynamic went back to porsche
@@markhunt7434worth noting that GT World Challenge Europe also has the Spa 24 hours as part of it, which is also an IGTC race, so while their focus isn't on the IGTC, we'll still see them at an IGTC event, perhaps even two igtc events if they also do the Nürburgring 24
GT3 is the overall FIA class, it’s the spec that the cars have to conform to. LMGT3 is the WEC class name for GT3 cars and GTD is one of two GT3 classes racing in IMSA, with GTD having a mixture of pro and amateur drivers, and pro being purely pro drivers.
The cars are mostly the same the lmgt3's just have minor aero changes to fit into the performance window the wec want & additional torque sensors(same as gtd & gtd pro this year)
If I was rich and if it was available in right hand drive, I'd buy myself a Corvette road car, assuming the road going version is as good looking as the GT race car.
I saw recently that Imsa was changing their BOP process to be more like the BOP in WEC. What do you make of it? Do you think it will be better or worse than the old system?
Is the IGTC a higher level of the World GT Challenge by SRO or a similar but different "GT challenge" At least in the US I think SRO is an under the radar series (Or really group of series like IMSA).
Yeah pretty much, IGTC has all the prestigious endurance races like Bathurst, Spa, etc. but combine those events with regional Challenge series like Europe Challenge for Spa or America Challenge for Indy.
IGTC is basically the biggest endurance races in the regions that the SRO runs in (daytona sebring & lemans not included due to them being IMSA & WEC crown jewels respectively)
I love GT racing, I just wish all cars were in fact GT cars and not supercars like Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini etc. A true GT car is the likes of Aston Martin, Lexus, BMW etc. I love Supercars, don't get me wrong, but in the spirit of calling it GT racing, they should be GT cars. Looks a little weird on track - if you think about it. Just my observation, not fanatic about it.
@ I think BMW has a very strong chance at the win of Daytona. Last year they were competitive, but the reliability issues were a problem. So hopefully they have sorted those out!
This might just be a great year for all racing series
It certainly looks that way!
Hope verstappen finally looses a championship title

This is fantastic. Just what I have been looking for. Very well done. Thanks so much.
AO racing looks awesome as always 😎
It's certainly a car that stands out from the crowd!
Now Imagine what would happen if ELMS expands into GT3 Pro and Hypercars OR the new IMSA-style Championship for GT3 Pros and Hypercars

@@FormulaJonah thanks a lot from Italy!
@lospiloto6544 No problem! Btw, I love Italy. It’s one of my favorite countries in the world!
@@FormulaJonah yeah,I'm glad you are paying attention to your community and reading us!

YOOOO 4 min ago yt said this is BRAND NEW you should watch

Maybe a Part 2?
I’ll be supporting McLaren and Aston Martin cars in LMGT3, and hoping to see Iron Dames win a race this year
Was i the only one waiting for a car not having a 6 speed gearbox? 😊
I'm gonna be rooting for the IronDames and Rexy.
Same, actually. Everyone loves Rexy.
I love gt3 im so exited to watch the races

For the Corvette, Stellar Motorsports are gonna be in the GTWC Europe.
Indeed! Looking forward to see Stellar Motorsports race with their new Corvette!
Well there's a chance we'll see the Lexus in IGTC, since the Suzuka round is returning, which would allow for Japanese teams with the Lexus to enter
Happy for Aston Martin!

IGTC has HRT racing with the Ford Mustang GT3
@huskiegaming_ not from HRT & FORD'S announced plans as they only had dtm gtwceurope & the nordschleife races in that announcement

Porsche and specifically the Iron Dames 👌😎
Thanks
No problem! I hope this guide was helpful!
Lexus might have an entry in IGTC Suzuka round...
Yes! I hope they do. Right now it’s not officially confirmed so I didn’t put it on the list, but I hope they’ll be there for that event in Japan
Can’t wait 🎉
Rexy my beloved 😍

Can you tell me if there are some technical differences between GT3, LMGT3, and GTD?
GT3 is the overall FIA class, it’s the spec that the cars have to conform to. LMGT3 is the WEC class name for GT3 cars and GTD is one of two GT3 classes racing in IMSA, with GTD having a mixture of pro and amateur drivers, and pro being purely pro drivers.

I knew there is lower aerodynamic performance in LMGT3, GTD than in GT3, to make a decent gap with LMP3 in ELMS or Asian Le Mans.
Let's Go FORD!!!
Great video!!!

I ask the tubes, who has the best gtd pro team in Imsa?
Audi and Mercedes are my Favorites...
So, how many races would be scheduled? From WEC to Imsa?
19 races in total!
@FormulaJonah 9 WEC races and 9 Imsa?
8 WEC and 11 IMSA
Oviously Porsche is the best, but i like all GT3 cars

Hello!
Formula Johah ft Hatsune Miku
One singular Audi running across all classes is just sad to see
Long Beach is my race so that means I won’t get to see the R8, 720 and on top of that no more NSX. Great.
Why Mercedes use old engine 6.2, it is better than 4.0 twin turbo?
Corvette São 6 equipes
Good job but IGTC is not as top series as GTWC or even International GT Open. These series should be described as well

Do you also Thing that the BMW win at the 24h of Dubai could be a good Omen for the 24h of Daytona?
I think it is, and I believe that BMW have a strong chance at achieving a good result at Daytona in GT racing with the Paul Miller and Turner cars
@FormulaJonah And what's with the GTP class?
@ I think BMW has a very strong chance at the win of Daytona. Last year they were competitive, but the reliability issues were a problem. So hopefully they have sorted those out!
Go Ferrari!
also team rmg have left BMW so they wont be competing
Turbo kills sound. Ferrari 296 is so boring.
Who has for you the best Driver Line Up in WEC Hypercarclass?
I would say Cadillac Hertz Team Jota
@@FormulaJonah For me Ferrari 🇮🇹
