I own one, an estate. I absolutely love it, the noise of the doors closing get me every time. I love the way it rides, and I love the simple yet elegant interior. Also, it does not break, never had any issue with it.
This is a great video alot of good info. I have a 92 300e m103 4matic love the car, but i had a 95 e420 and my buddy totaled the car in the rain, and he walked away without a scratch. That car was in mint condition i got it from an older gentleman that only drove it on Sundays to church and around town. Interior was black no one ever sat in the passenger or rear seats. Exterior was perfect not a scratch car was garage kept it's whole life. But at the end of the day i can and did get another car but my friends life can't be replaced.
8-year ownership of a '94 E320 C124 Sportline Coupe. A Smoke Silver Metallic (702) hand-me-down coupe from a deceased uncle who ordered the coupe new. . It's a USA-spec coupe. . The C124 coupe is an exceptional "keeper"- the finest Road Trip car there is... Our '23 E450 All-Terrain wagon, as nice as it is, is no w124... P.S. subscribed.
The 5.0L is not available in RHD - so we are blessed by its unavailability! In Singapore some 90% of W124s are 1998cc auto because of road tax of only US$2000 per annum rather than twice that for larger engines. In 2024 bought a 260E auto in Malaysia and registered it in Singapore. A great car. Just needed to replace service items (like aircon compressor, suspension struts) - everything runs straight and clean! We also in 2024 have W460 300GD and W126 280SE. The 1983 W126 admittedly rides better. The 1983 300GD has a new diesel engine and auto transmission donated from a W124 300D of 1993 vintage. All are a hoot to drive around Malaysia/Singapore where petrol is good value.

One day I will buy one, good luck on yours too.
Amin
Rust is the only thing I had, so I repaired it and kept it. The best car for it´s money still today.
My favorite E class model, the w124. It was and is still a class.
I actually own a W124 94 E420 and the 221 2008 550. The two best cars they’ve made imo. The 124 platform is the best tho, untouchable
you do have one of the best cars from mercedes
dude i like your sense of humor. Cheers from Oregon, USA.
Thank you for this video. I’m bookmarking it for when I’m ready to get a W124 of my own.
