    WoW❣. What a treasure it would be to have my great grandmothers voice telling some background on a quilt she created. Thank you 😘

    Margaret, what a wonderful idea. I wish they had this type of thing when my grandmother was making quilts. I was blessed to receive one of her hand pieced & hand quilted quilts, but sadly it was after she had passed away. So I never got to hear why she made it or what she was thinking. I am the only one of her grandchildren who quilts, although I only quilt by machine. I hope one day to teach my little granddaughter how to quilt. So I think these types of labels are just wonderful. Love your channel & your videos. I just bought one of your Sweet Tea/Simple Syrup kits & can't wait to start it.

    What a lovely way to document all of the details of handmade treasures! I'd love to give one to my wonderfully talented sister in law who lovingly makes heirlooms for our family.

    I am looking forward to making my very FIRST QUILT. I made my daughter's Edwardian Wedding Dress for her Steam Punk Wedding, never before tackled satin. I have confidence in my sewing ability. I love cotton and have sewn for over 42 years. This quilt will be for her and her husband. The Story Label idea is truly excellent. As a former board member on an Art League, I encouraged our artists to list all attributes, plus the story behind the piece. Continued prayers for your son-in-law. Thank you for your love that shines through, Margaret.

    Hi Margaret. I am working on quilts for my grandbabies and great nieces and nephews. I have tried several ways of labeling my quilts, but think this will be a great way to preserve the heritage of the quilts. That's for providing the information about the Story Patches. Martha

    I am a cancer survivor of five yrs and have been learning to quilt through your video's and other on u tube. My first quilt is for my husband who is recovering from a stroke. I will be ordering one of these to put a personal msg on the quilt for him. It's kind of following a log cabin pattern in fall colors and I fussy cut the middles in a 5"sq from fall prints.

    Hi Margaret! Thank you again for sharing your experiences with us from "Quilters Take Manhatten". The labels are so sweet and I appreciate that you did not tell us about them until the fabric quality was improved-that's why we can trust your judgment and reviews. I hope that "what happened in Manhatten doesn't stay in Manhatten" but that you tell us all about it!!

    Super cute idea! I saw these somewhere and thought it would be difficult and time consuming. After watching your video the process seems super easy! I'd love the opportunity to win and use this on a quilt I'm making for my mom or my step-daughter.

    I think I would pass it on to My mom she is 84 and I would love for her to document a double wedding ring quilt she hand pieced and hand quilted Not matter which of her 4 children get that quilt someday having her voice connected to the quilt would make it so precious. Thanks for the chance

  • @jwall6006

    Oh, I've been looking at these, and wondered how they worked. You know as an artist I work with mosaic glass, or print blocks that I carve, that all gets signed, the glass always has a small back story about what or why. But I've never signed a quilt. What a special way to finish a quilt. I have my first grandbaby coming in December. His quilt is about 25% done, but how great would that be for him to hear my voice. It makes it into a precious heirloom, even though the theme is silly monsters. How is your son in law and family doing?

    I'm curious how the information is stored and protected? Is there a guarantee that the message will be available 20-50 years from now?

    • @StkrItVideo
      @StkrItVideo 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question! We do a few things to protect your messages. First, we store them in two different locations (both Rackspace and Amazon) just in case something happens with one of them. Second, we always give you the option to download them locally at any time. And finally, we will be announcing a partnership soon with a non profit that has created a permanent digital storage solution - if anything happened to us, they will still be hosted thanks to that relationship. We hope to announce it soon! (Mike from StoryPatches)
