- Todays recipe is fermented ginger beer. This spicy drink is really delicious! In this video I am teaching you how to make a ginger bug as the 1st step in making homemade ginger beer. This homemade ginger beer recipe is perfect to have in your fridge! Ginger beer has a unique and delightful flavor. Fermenting ginger beer is really easy and fun!

That was fun. I've heard Mary's Nest and Heidi of Rain Country mention keeping a ginger bug as a fermentation starter as well. I couldn't believe the swell of that lid though.
