I have always wanted to try this. I used to chew on pine needles from my Grandpa's tree when I was little. Pine trees are kinda sparse around here, It may be a good excuse to visit the old farm, for the first time in 20 years (since Grandpa passed).
This is very cool. I had to do some research to see others making pine needle soda. Now I wish I had pine trees on our land. Especially white pine as most say it tastes like sprite when you add a lemon slice. Thank you for being part of the collab.
Been so excited waiting for this video since you told us it would be coming. I’m always out foraging for white pine needles for tea & tinctures. Last year I planted a bunch of white pines that I got from a tree farm I worked on for a couple of seasons, just for foraging needles. Can’t wait to make this one! Thank you so much for sharing.
Oh wow, I have never thought to use pine needles in this way. This is so cool!! We are surrounded by pine trees and I think this would be so fun to do with the grandkids. Thank you for another great idea!
Wow, I just learned something new again! I had no idea there was so many uses for pine needles! Thank you for taking part in this collaboration! And Thank you Anna for sponsoring Fermented February 2024!
When I make various teas, the 4 T. sugar I start with but add more to taste and it also continues to ferment. I kinda do it like sour dough starter, some and come again, and again. New England Indians kept to the white pine, before I knew that i used everything but hemlock! You've opened a new door, thank you, Ms Lu.
It sure is beautiful! And I can't wait to make my own...I love that you both wanted it to be alittle more sour! KIndred spirits...:) Thanks for participating!
The look on your daughter's face when you were holding down the fizz is exactly how my daughter looks at me every time I ask her to try something new! Especially if it's something that's been sitting on the counter for days or weeks. 😅 Great video! I am adding this to my list of recipes to try!
My 11yo daughter watched this and asked me to make this today. So, part of today's schooling will be learning about this ferment and what makes it work. Then, starting the ferment. Thank you so much!
Wow, I have never heard about this and it sounds good 😊 Now just to find some Pine needles 😀 Thank you for sharing this with us ☺️ GOD Bless you and your Family 🙏🏻❣️🙏🏻

This sounds unique and very interesting to ferment. And like you said pine trees are green all year around. While trying your recipe I will soak pine needles in white vinegar to also make a homemade cleaner for my house too😊
