I have always wanted to try this. I used to chew on pine needles from my Grandpa's tree when I was little. Pine trees are kinda sparse around here, It may be a good excuse to visit the old farm, for the first time in 20 years (since Grandpa passed).
Wow, I have never heard about this and it sounds good 😊 Now just to find some Pine needles 😀 Thank you for sharing this with us ☺️ GOD Bless you and your Family 🙏🏻❣️🙏🏻
Been so excited waiting for this video since you told us it would be coming. I’m always out foraging for white pine needles for tea & tinctures. Last year I planted a bunch of white pines that I got from a tree farm I worked on for a couple of seasons, just for foraging needles. Can’t wait to make this one! Thank you so much for sharing.
The look on your daughter's face when you were holding down the fizz is exactly how my daughter looks at me every time I ask her to try something new! Especially if it's something that's been sitting on the counter for days or weeks. 😅 Great video! I am adding this to my list of recipes to try!
Wow, I just learned something new again! I had no idea there was so many uses for pine needles! Thank you for taking part in this collaboration! And Thank you Anna for sponsoring Fermented February 2024!
My mom use to talk about my grandparents making this for her as a child. If I wasn't allergic to pine I would definitely try this for that very reason. It looks both beautiful and delicious though. Thank you for sharing this recipe with all of us.
It sure is beautiful! And I can't wait to make my own...I love that you both wanted it to be alittle more sour! KIndred spirits...:) Thanks for participating!
That looked so much easier than my past soda ferments using ginger bugs and fruit juices in gallon carboys with airlocks! And love the idea on Vit D enrichment with the sun, too! Saving this video!!!
Oh wow, I have never thought to use pine needles in this way. This is so cool!! We are surrounded by pine trees and I think this would be so fun to do with the grandkids. Thank you for another great idea!
This is very cool. I had to do some research to see others making pine needle soda. Now I wish I had pine trees on our land. Especially white pine as most say it tastes like sprite when you add a lemon slice. Thank you for being part of the collab.
Thank-you for sharing, FYI Ponderosa Pine can be poisonous. So I hope your viewers research their pines. I will be looking for pine trees in my travels. Thanks again.
@@peggypease3267 Are you sure they are Ponderosa and not White pine, the needles look the same, difference is Ponderosa has 2 to 3 needles per sleeve and White pine has 5 needles per sleeve ( the brown holder around needles)
You can also make a vinegar with the Pineneedles using the same method. The cool part about it is that you don’t have to buy cleaning supplies then!😊
Ginger and lemon in the ferment would be healthy and taste great too! Awesome idea! Ty

Agree…we only have Ponderosa pine in my area. Wondering if our Spruce can be used instead with the same benefits.

Definetly Ponderosa…
@@nylac8009 Definitely Ponderosa…had tree specialists looking at our pines for pine beetle kill and they were identified as Ponderosa
@@peggypease3267 Spruce is in the pine tree family, guess nothing ventured nothing gained. Wish you luck.
