Never really found grossout humor all that funny as a kid. I often found it lazy and annoying. If it was creative or executed well enough then it won me over, but lazy grossout humor has always peeved me.
Honestly though, I never found grossout humor funny either, & I didn't even find the "creative", & "well executed" ones funny either. In fact, the "well executed" ones are actually worse for me than the poorly executed ones because it'll mean I had a MUCH BIGGER chance of throwing up afterwards. It's treated like an unsettling crack addiction, so I don't know if it fits in this more glorified realm of fart writing, but I just wanted to let someone know that it did a good job of creeping me out for the past several years.

I've been watching cartoons since I was 2, I have never, ever, in my life, found "gross-out humour" funny. It has always disturbed me, and I've wanted to throttle every person that exposed me to it through cartoons.
It is gross and what’s unfortunate is, in western cartoons That stuff essentially present in animation for all demographics. Shows for action, shows for adult comedy, shows for especially young kids, no matter what age group or what type of cartoon appeals to you, if it’s Western it usually has a fart joke. Anime is a bit better about this, I usually only see fart gags there in shows meant for young kids like for example the anime he showed off in this video Card-Live-R or whatever, I heard of was a kids card game show similiar to Pokémon. And as for the dragon clip that he called “anime”, I could actually hear they were very clearly speaking Korean, not Japanese, so that one doesn’t even count as anime if it was animated in Korea and made for there, imo

There are plenty of good ones so I agree with you, most fart gags in anime are pretty funny, cause it’s usually just a one time thing. I’ve only seen anime where there’s fart jokes constantly when it’s a show made for very very young kids, such as that Cardlive this Adam showed here, that one was like a Pokémon-inspired card game anime. As for some of the other clips, he actually mistakenly called one of the clips about dragons an anime show but I could clearly hear them speaking Korean in that clip so I don’t think it actually was. So yeah, that just kinda helps my point
Total DramaRama is rated C8 in Canada and TV-V7 in the USA. So it's not meant for little kids, but 8 is still kinda young for this material, in my opinion.
Sad thing is I believe Total Drama Island (just the first season) is excellent and one of the best animated seasons I’ve seen. Action and World Tour never really peaked my interest or recapture the magic of the first season. I never watched anything past that and it’s sad how far the show has fallen

What i hate the most about stuff like this is that a lot of people will go "it's just dumb jokes for kids" i remember shows (or scenes) that made me feel super uncomfortable when I was a kid and since you're a kid you literally can't do anything about it. (One of those shows is icarly btw)

There's an episode of a Nickelodeon show called Sanjay and Craig where there's a candy that flips taste buds, where good stuff tastes bad and bad stuff tastes good. The kids run across this man in an alley who'd eaten the candy and he's putting his hand underneath himself to catch his farts and then voraciously sniff them. It's treated like an unsettling crack addiction, so I don't know if it fits in this more glorified realm of fart writing, but I just wanted to let someone know that it did a good job of creeping me out for the past several years.

I've been watching cartoons since I was 2, I have never, ever, in my life, found "gross-out humour" funny. It has always disturbed me, and I've wanted to throttle every person that exposed me to it through cartoons.
It is gross and what’s unfortunate is, in western cartoons That stuff essentially present in animation for all demographics. Shows for action, shows for adult comedy, shows for especially young kids, no matter what age group or what type of cartoon appeals to you, if it’s Western it usually has a fart joke.
Anime is a bit better about this, I usually only see fart gags there in shows meant for young kids like for example the anime he showed off in this video Card-Live-R or whatever, I heard of was a kids card game show similiar to Pokémon.
And as for the dragon clip that he called “anime”, I could actually hear they were very clearly speaking Korean, not Japanese, so that one doesn’t even count as anime if it was animated in Korea and made for there, imo

There are plenty of good ones so I agree with you, most fart gags in anime are pretty funny, cause it’s usually just a one time thing. I’ve only seen anime where there’s fart jokes constantly when it’s a show made for very very young kids, such as that Cardlive this Adam showed here, that one was like a Pokémon-inspired card game anime.
As for some of the other clips, he actually mistakenly called one of the clips about dragons an anime show but I could clearly hear them speaking Korean in that clip so I don’t think it actually was. So yeah, that just kinda helps my point
Total DramaRama is rated C8 in Canada and TV-V7 in the USA.
So it's not meant for little kids, but 8 is still kinda young for this material, in my opinion.
Sad thing is I believe Total Drama Island (just the first season) is excellent and one of the best animated seasons I’ve seen. Action and World Tour never really peaked my interest or recapture the magic of the first season. I never watched anything past that and it’s sad how far the show has fallen
