    When you rev the Ducati, the Italian CC subtitles say "Musica". Isn't it wonderful?

    Beautiful! Mine is ORANGE and BLACK, and I love it...I changed the suspension and now it's almost perfect. Ohlins behind, Andreani for the fork.
    What is missing? Proper front brakes and the dry clutch...

    Great bike. If you are having slow speed issues check how many teeth the rear sprocket has. The manual says 42 but many were fitted from the factory with 41 for higher top speed. The original Ducati replacement kit in Europe comes with 41. Brakes are OK although Ducati did offer an upgrade kit with larger disks and callipers and lever. The kit was very cheep considering the parts back in 2006. Not sure about now. The suspension is good but the forks are a little hard unless you weigh over 95kg. The springs in them are fine so to solve this when it comes time to service them, replace the oil with a slightly lighter oil then recommended.

    Great bike! I have exactly the same here in Italy.
    Could you please tell us your camera/microphone setup on your helmet? Your moto-videos have a really nice quality. Thanks

      My GoPro setup: 2.7K / 60fps - files are much smaller than 4k and good for higher speed. I am using Purple Panda Microphone from Amazon, I think it is like $30 bucks You will need GoPro microphone adapter for it. Here video I did a while ago: th-cam.com/video/524NehWRosU/w-d-xo.html
      Thank you for watching.

    Buying this exact year and model this week!

      Excellent bike, I love it. One little tip - check the spring on the Kick side stand - it has tendency to get weak or broken and then won't hold the side stand firmly.

      @@Klaxet I’ll make sure to do that! Appreciate it. How’s the reliability of the bike?

      @@Klaxet Hey Klaxet, I bought the same Monster (red with black frame), 2007, 2.000 miles for 5.000 €. The S2R/S4R`s are amazing. The only mods I made are modern mirrors and the slip ons with some of roadsitalia. The sound of them is still fantastic with db killers by a very interesting price ( round about 430 € for the carbon edition + shipping). Greetings from Germany and allways much fun with your Monster, which you will have for sure.

      @@ryan3656 So far so good, it is a pretty reliable engine. I had Ducati 900SS CR supersport for 5 years (carbureted no problems) so I hope this will last....it becomes almost collectible classic.

      @@jackspeed3398 Nice upgrades! I paid $5K for mine, mostly all stock except for cafe racer mirrors - which I like. I can't wait for spring time to get it back on the road. We have pretty rough winters here in Chicago. Cheers!

    Hey im getting the same model and year, have you had any engine problems and or had to change the timing belt?
    Ive heard the timing belt is a big issue. If you have changed it how much am i expecting to pay?
    Thanks in advance

    • @Klaxet
      @Klaxet  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Never had any issues, so far very reliable engine (I have over 20K miles on it). I think timing belt issue is very overblown, it is pretty easy job to replace it btw. Good luck.

    Where are you guys finding this bike? I've been looking for 2 years!

    • @Klaxet
      @Klaxet  ปีที่แล้ว

      I bought it last year in Madison,WI through Facebook Marketplace. I was looking myself for used Monster particular s2r for several years. It is in pretty good shape. So I changed all the fluids as you can see it looks pretty good. Thank you for watching.

      I've just bought one S2R, exactly like this one. I have to say that, here in Italy, is super easy to find a monster 600 or 620, every dad, at a certain point in their life, have had one of these. Of course s2r and s4r are a bit rare.
