    Hi there ;) can i ask you your size ? I’m searching a s2r 800 but it seems really low for a guy like me > 1,83cm (6´). Your opinion willappreciate ;)

    Conservative riding to me. If I'm riding I ride balls out. Map out the course for max speed/min turning/lean through turns and hit the gas a bit before I want it to compensate for lag time.

    I am curious, what speed are you typically having to do to be able to lean to the point of dragging your knee and being able to recover from the turn?

      @racebookingnet  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +VEHICROS There is no typical speed! It depends on bike, tires, temperatures, grip, etc...
      The best way to do it is to go on a racetrack and try (also by looking at the other riders) until you get there :)
      Of course you must have warm tires, because if they are cold you risk to fall

      +RaceBooking.net Thank you for the reply. I am curious because on various turns here in my town, like on ramps, I feel I am leaning a lot, like as much as possible and as fast as safely possible, yet when viewed in a video I see that my knee is still 10-12 inches away from the surface.

      +VEHICROS Be careful, because the road doesn not grip like a racetrack! On a racetrack you have much more grip and it's easier to lean :)

      +RaceBooking.net Yep I figured that., it seems obvious that new surfaces are better than old, The old aged ones seem to have less tar, and the exposed tiny rocks are slick. BTW I have a S2R800, all stock.

    I changed the fliying wheel and set a smaller sproket. Changed also the oil of the bike fork. It works better

      Iv read that a lot.What does actually a smaller sproket achieve?

    • @Number63fr
      @Number63fr 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Miniorpernik It changes your gearing ratios. At a certain speed, let's say 100km/h, you'll be at a certain engine speed, for example 4000rpm. If you get a smaller sprocket, your engine will run at a higher speed, maybe around 4500 rpm to 5000 rpm depending on the sprocket size. It effectively reduces your top speed, but because you engine is running closer to its peak power (higher rpm), you also have a better acceleration. This is also due to the fact that you have a closer transmission ratio, which translate to a higher torque at the wheel. This also helps for low speed manoeuvers because you rely less on your clutch thanks to the higher torque at the wheel.
