HARD disagree on ranking Glitter as low as second last on the list. They aren't particularly useful on characters other than Rabbid Mario or Rabbid Rosalina, but Glitter on either of those two is *game-breakingly* powerful. Rabbid Mario in particular, with maybe a little help from his team, turns Glitter's radius into a death zone. In fact, I'd argue that Rabbid Mario wouldn't even be _close_ to as overpowered as he currently is without access to what is essentially a buffed Magnet Dance.
Especially considering Attack Master is free, and the best passive in the game, rivaled by health boost. Health boost would have been better for Glitter anyway.
Put Glitter + Ethering on Rabbid Mario and send him off to the area with the most enemies and watch him nuke everything. Your other two heroes, usually Mario and Luigi in my case, can pick off the rest that escape the slaughter. That strategy invalidates like 80% of the maps in the game.
Glitter's one of the best in the game for that reason. I like to pair Reflector with it for the extra weapon damage. And with Turbocharge he nukes everything.
Yeah Glitter is one of the best spark in my opinion, the fact that you have the potentiel to bring a lot of ennemies in one place where they are exposed is such an op versatile option. I equip that spark with Rabbid Mario bc his ground mobility is insane and his high splash damage. Also the radius of that spark at max level is busted.
I do have to agree with you there especially because these two could definitely make a deadly combo with like rabbit Mario or peach you pull all the enemies to you use rabbit Mario to do a ton of damage and then you use the unseen spark on one of the guys to just make them disappear Getting a ton of damage a ton of enemies
Every single one underrated Screech you can activate hero sight steely stare and storm blade Glitter Rabbid Mario who is invisible can destroy hordes of enemies All the gedddon sparks they hit so hard Ethering basically makes any character invincible to being targeted for a short period of time let’s you escape sticky Scooper master he will allow you to have a cpu to snipe opponents I love this game and these are my opinions
As someone who uses summons 24/7 in this game,i can confirm that both scooper and oozer will shoot 1 or 2 times, walk back out of their own range, and sit there for the rest of the battle doing nothin because the AI are the same as normal enemies, who act defencive expecting you too come up.scooper deffinitly the biggest runner
I know everyone has their own strategies for this game, heres mine that excells at handling all normal fights and most bosses: Blade with vamp dash & ethering Rabbid Rosalina with Glitter The third slot is a flex position, i usually use bowser or peach because this strategy is about grouping enemies together and stunning whatevers left with rosalina Blade's dashes when buffed are insanely deadly, and this strategy made fighting all enemies all throughout the game completely trivial. Only weakness would be battles where you have to split everyone up.
Some sparks got ratted unfairly since he did not take into consideration that every spark has a pasive ability like glitter increases your base attack by 30% and screech that increases your hero’s crit chance by 30% (both examples are at spark level 5)
Glitter is so underrated, not the best, and typically situationally, but I find myself using it most battles, this can apply to all maps, but on smaller maps, especially for defeat enemy missions, it is crazy powerful combined with rabid Mario. Rabbis Mario is not very arguably the strongest character in the game and combined with small maps and many enemies, his area dash+being able to dash three enemies in a row, his weapon, another hero using starburst, and the attack boost the spark gives him, makes for an overpowered combo an he is able to clear out every enemy. Even if he doesn’t clear out them all, the other heroes can finish the rest off. (And it’s way better than the first game because the enemies go all the way to the hero, not just for a set amount of time.(plus hero sight goes crazy with it)
Ethering also makes reach areas so easy sometimes, too, especially when you have all Luigi's movement stacked up. My go to team is Luigi, Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Rosa. Gather Round combos with Rabbid Rosa's stun so well too. Respectfully I disagree with Ethering and the Disco Sparks placement.
You mentioned that the weapon super effect sparks take over from Starburst later on, which is true, but Starburst effects all heros in a range, so you can pop Starburst, and win most normal overworld encounters in one turn
The second passive abilities are also pretty good though too. There’s Critical Buddy, Attack Master, Physical Protector, Athlete, Healing Amplifier and Healing Booster for the Non Elemental Sparks.
Glitter is amongst the best sparks in the game. Bowser and Mario Rabbid should be able to take out the group of enemies plus if youre gonna use it synchronizing it mario and Luigis "if they move shoot them" attacks make it great
Wow, watching this I realized that I have a VERY different play style/strategy than you, like I never used the dash sparks cause I found others a lot more useful lol 😂 also my team was Mario, Luigi, and Rabbid Mario. Sometimes Peach and Rabbid Rosalina replaced Luigi and Rabbid Mario, well Until the last world 😁
Ethering is great for getting into enemy lines or keeping Luigi specifically perfectly safe Also starburst id argue is amazing even end and post game allowing you to set up completely inhumane damage set ups you have one hero use a super effect spark have the one with star burst give their damage buff And then Let. Hell. Rain.
Burning is the least useful super effect and can even mess up your strategy because of how random it is. Freeze, ooze, and shock are more consistent. Also, rabbid mario island luigi are indeed the objective best characters, so the screech, disco, and ethering sparks are very common in the fan favorite rabbid mario, luigi, and any other utility based character like rabbid Rosa or rabbid luigi team comp. Rabbid mario goes in invisible, screeches, and the enemies are within rand of luigi and rabbid mario is unharmed. Just because of how common this strategy is for every 100%er I watch play this game, these sparks I think deserve B tier.
When you can max sparks I would put Ethering on Peach and it made her invincible. I legit solo'ed the game with her because you can infinitly cycle her shield ability with the 2 turns of invis. She is only vulnerable on 1 turn and enemies cant damage her unless they can land more than 4 hits. I combined this with the healing spark and she couldn't be killed. I used this to have Peach flawless the plant boss whil my other 2 characters just hid behind invicible cover at the start of the area's
glitter is extremely strong with rabid mario since you can run in pop glitter obliterate enemies and run back behind cover and screech is strong because luigi has a hero sight ability and luigi is basically useless if enemies are close and luigi is the frailest but one of the most mobile characters so what I did was give luigi screech send him in ahead send the enemies running (potentially towards allies) and snipe them I also like to add ethering so that enemies won’t approach luigi and keep them at the max range alternatively I use scoper master so that luigi has a sniper buddy that won’t die as easily because screech keeps the enemies away from it also it helps protect luigi by drawing away enemy fire or shooting down approaching enemies. also completely unrelated I often gave rabbid rosalina crit chance up sparks so that she had a whopping 100% crit rate
Not accounting for the passive boosts that the sparks give seems a little short sighted For example: Glitter may not be useful as an action for most characters, but it gives a decent damage boost to your weapons, which can be especially useful on a very certain character that always has access to thier base ability Or luigi to just boost his already ridiculous attack power
Also not to mention not only the lack of dlc mode sparks and how much use the sparks obtained in later areas are usable from the start in the 2 main dlc modes
I love this tier list, although I do have some gripes Glitter is really strong on Rabbid Rosalina. You can pull in a few or ton of enemies and hit them with the ennui dash/technique, or combo it with spread damage characters like Bowser, Peach, and Rabbid Mario. Also, it makes me sad seeing Ethering so low. He’s borderline overpowered with Rabbid Mario, making his several dash attacks stronger on top of the 2-turn invincibility. Upgrade his punches and movement area, and he’ll just solo groups of enemies or bosses with ease. You can also use your 2nd turn of invincibility to activate an attack spark like or Toxicomet to really dish out the damage
I like the choices for plat tier but pulser? Considering regenisis and the many other forms of blocking damage ( team barrier, exhaust + fortify ) nobody rarely dies with summons and especially peach
Welp, SOH Pro here who beat the game with only 2/9 characters so far (Working on Luigi only, DO NOT DO RABBID PEACH ONLY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. YOU WILL HATE IT.), so I'll say what I agree and disagree with. Screech I agree with, only good for activating sights and abusing the cover rule (TL;DR: Cover rule = Enemies won't move unless cover is nearby. Some enemies ignore this rule.) Glitter I agree with, only really good on Rabbid Mario and Rabbid rosa. Cryo,Electro and pyrogeddon I agree with but they are good for using strats where you abuse the Cover rule. HOWEVER, Meteors can hit the same target more than once, so it can have more DMG than a quake spark if used properly. Ethering I agree with..I certainly do appreciate him after Rabbid Peach only. Gargantu-fan I agree with. Worse at dealing with cover than Geddon sparks. Fun Fact: Gargantu-fan couldn't knock back Splash resistant enemies until it was patched. Squashette master I disagree with. It can be decent, its zephyrquake but better. Plus the enemy can tank bullets! (I'd put it in B tier) Scoper Master I agree with, they literally camp in the back the entire game. Zephyrquake I disagree with. Its like a C tier spark, since again: I'd just use Squashette master. Reflector I disagree with, its an A-TIER spark in my opinion. We'll get to why when we get to Exosphere. Starbust I disagree with, its C tier, its good for nuking tho. All dash sparks (Except for Vamp) I'd put in C tier, they're really only good on Edge or Rabbid Peach. Toxi-quake I'd put alongside the other Quake sparks, at least Ooze is better. Exosphere I disagree with, it needs to be S tier, Why? Well, Weaken allows enemies to deal NO DAMAGE to you, yes ZERO damage. Try for yourself, weaken an enemy and use Exosphere, it even works with Reflector, so if you combine Weaken + Exosphere/ Exosphere + Reflector, you get a turn where enemies don't even HURT you! Hell, you can even use it on any of the summon sparks too! (Just summon first, exosphere them and weaken everyone nearby, then you get an extra turn where the summoned ally just gets to attack. Wildclaw Master (Or as I like to call it: THE DUMMY!) I agree with. Tanks damage, can deal bonus damage when attacked, good for tanking (and on the cursa Phase since if you play your cards right, Cursa can attack the Wildclaw over allies.) All the elemental sparks I disagree with, Toxicoment I'd put in C tier, unlocked WAY too late in the game, Electroid is somewhat decent I guess, since it can repeatedly trigger sights, allowing Luigi to nuke bosses (B Tier), Pyrostar is only good on Mario, so C Tier, Cryobolide sucks, but is good on the Bedrock fight, D Tier, Zephyrgust I'd say is B Tier, since Gust is good late game, Aquanox I'd put in C Tier, since so many enemies are immune to splash lategame (TerraFlora and Barrendale Mesa). Oozer master I agree with, Attack master, summon a Oozer to negate enemy damage for 1 turn (Good on the Giant Magnafowl and Giant Depleter), it can tank damage, not much needs to be said. Vampastar I agree with, Crit buddy, global extra damage and healing. Amazing for nuking strats with Rabbid Rosa. Regenesis I'd move all the way down to C tier, its not that good, only rlly good for lasting strats...I've appreciated him since he actually can regen a turn of Cursa damage over 3 turns with a 1 turn uptime, and thats really it. Its situational. PULSER. PUT HIM IN D TIER. Blame it on my playstyle of restarting if a Hero dies, but...PULSER SUUUUUUUCKS, sure a teammate revive and 70% Health restoration revive is good, but...Why? You could just abuse the Cover rule...It really is a Noob's best friend. I have never used Pulser ONCE in all the 420+ Hours I had in Sparks Of Hope (That is no joke.), its a waste of a slot since why not just try and heal up whenever a teammate is low on health, Regenesis or R peach, maybe use a Mushroom or two, either way he is FAR from the best in my book, he is in D TIER. (Spoilers, but bonus ranking! DLC Sparks!) **MAYHEM IS IN PLATINUM.**, Its turning an enemy against eachother, INCLUDING BOSSES! They get Muzzled and "Disarmed" in one package. Who wouldn't LOVE that! BONUS DAMAGE TOO! Vampgeddon is in A Tier, its A geddon spark, so its destroying cover, plus you get extra damage AND heal yourself! Cryodash is in C Tier. Frostbite is already a bad effect, but it in dash form makes it worse. Berserk goes in A tier, Good with Exosphere/Weaken strats, and dealing as much damage to a boss as possible. Cryoquake goes in C tier, at least its a Quake spark, better than a dash spark. Same with Electroquake. Selfie is in Platinum tier, its a 4th character and 2nd R mario, plus it can tank. So, thats long isn't it. Your opinions are 1000%.
Yeah it does look like you put a lot of thought into this when it comes to type advantages and even their defensive passives but by the sound of it you've overlooked the non elemental sparks' passives like glitter and screech. Now, I myself have also put screech in a low tier when ranking this out but here's the deal, it's the earliest spark in the game that increases your crit rate. Some characters have high crit rates which you can get to almost to 100% or so with the help of screech. Mario being one of them who can use screech in conjunction with his hero sight. Sure the pushback isn't great but overlooking the early game crit rate boost is unfortunate. Same goes for glitter and Ethering where Glitter not only shores up rabbid Mario's weakness of range but also increase his damage from its passive. Ethering's passive increase his movement damage which is great on characters like Edge or even rabbid Luigi who want to be in the front lines dashing enemies while being relatively safe. My biggest issue with your rating on ethering though is that you said full cover should be enough. Well- its not. Oftentimes maps don't have full cover for you to get behind when you need to push forward. And oftentimes scopers, which usually come in twos or more, will easily break full cover in one round. Enemies aren't afraid to focus on one character so that full cover barely means anything. At the very least if you have one invisible character that's one less character you have to worry about finding full coverage as well as allowing them to get closer in range if they are a more short-range unit. I will say that I do agree with you that dash Sparks are pretty good and I think perhaps underrated. Mostly because they're on a smaller cooldown but also don't trigger enemy counter attacks like riptides or depleters which makes electrodashreally useful on them. Toxicquake is horrible though. The chip damage is insignificant at the hardest difficulty and it offers no defense passive capabilities until I think chapter 3? Not to mention it clashes with melee builds or just jumping on allies, potentially spreading ooze on your teammates. Pulsar is also horrendous because it takes up a slot of your Sparks and does absolutely nothing unless you're doing horrendously bad. Not to mention its passive, increase healing is not great IMO. A better defensive passive are the damage reduction like starburst's and extra HP like regeneis. So pulsar doesn't offer you anything at all unless you're dead unlike those other Sparks passives which are always active. Wild claw master is only good because of its damage reduction and the wild claw sponging a single round. Yeah at the hardest difficulty, it died almost the exact enemy turn it was summoned unless you use barriers or exosphere on it. Even then I wouldn't recommend it because after enemies are cleared from an area, wild claw usually just get stuck there with too low movement speed to do anything else.
Appreciate the feedback! I def overlooked the passives a lot, just cuz I cared a lot about the active powers when I played. And yeah, I think if YT remembers me for anything, it's for somehow thinking that Ethering is bad. I regret that placement a lot already lol
Am i the only one who actually used glitter quite a bit lol.. especially with rabid mario cus yeah.. and im not lying but not putting efhering in at least B tier is just it for me..

Also funny strat where you glitter all the enemies to a barrel and dash out then hit the barrel
Then you give Rabbid Mario the reflect spark

Thank you for pointing out ethering, I was losing my marble’s when he said this, I would use this on rabbid mario too sneak attack all the time
@@rekisMagicalCreationsYoshiLand Yeah agreed 👍
Yeah, I won't lie, I gotta revisit that one when I throw in the DLC sparks
Yeah, I used entering for all my playthrough since I obtained it.
I don't understand how glitter is f tier because its so good rabbid mario with his close range attack and with a constant 30% damage boost
Every single one underrated

All the gedddon sparks they hit so hard

Blade with vamp dash & ethering
Rabbid Rosalina with Glitter

Blade's dashes when buffed are insanely deadly, and this strategy made fighting all enemies all throughout the game completely trivial. Only weakness would be battles where you have to split everyone up.
Here is a suggestion. Vampastra rosalina. Guaranteed crits and an active damage boost that drains hp from all enemies is cracked as hell.

Give rabbid Mario Ethering and Vampastra and you'll know how good that combo is
Am i the only one who actually used glitter quite a bit lol.. especially with rabid mario cus yeah.. and im not lying but not putting efhering in at least B tier is just it for me..
Ethering should be higher up imo
Ethering best spark
Cryogeddon is pronounced the same as Pyrogeddon.
And Plat. Tier should be P tier.
I put glitter on rabbid mario and he is op with glitter
Ethering should at least be in top 5 not d tier
This ranking was done really well in the future can you make a ranking on the most annoying enemies in the game
ethiring is at least a
I used most of them😂
Ethering is too low
Not watching the rest of this after he put Glitter at second lowest. His opinions are clearly useless lol.
52nd like.
