Man, I hope they didn't permanently get rid of all the crazy background changes during Sugar Rush, those were always so cool! Maybe it's just a demo thing & they're saving it for the full game (or it's just not done yet idk) but I seriously hope Sugar Rush stays a psychedelic mad dash to the exit and doesn't turn into just "oh no.... guess I'd better go...."
It’s there for Crunchy Construction, but that’s probably because that level is the least altered from the rest of them, so maybe they just had more time to make that background alteration during Sugar Rush, I do hope that all levels get that crazy distorted background too, so far everything seems like it’s coming along marvelously!

It rains in Mollasses Swamp I guess. Sugar shack does have some neat changes though, but they're pretty easy to miss. So no I think they're still doing changes, but just small ones unfortunately, still better than nothing though!

Then why the FUCK does Pizelle act like this 50% evil gremlin and 50% SpongeBob ass fucker??? I dunno, you tell me. This fangame is supposed to be the UnderSwap to Pizza Tower, not the TS! UnderSwap. What are they gonna do to Peppino's bossfight in the final game, make him so anxious he gives up midfight??? I AM THE YAPPER HOLY SHIT
@@PanduDraws Honestly I agree, plus I love how he starts to ready up a punch as the combo meter ends and goes back into the ready stance once it gets reset. It's a nice detail honestly and I prefer it way much more than the standard loop.
Can we talk about how they made mollases swamp the most beautiful and fun level ever. Pizzelle’s moveset is great and the wallkick is unique and fun. Sugary Spire is gonna be something special

Even if i liked more the personality of pizzelle from the first demo, the animations are better over all, plus they made molasses swamp actually good so 19/10 (not 20/10 because they gave the cotton transformation a mouth)
I don't know about you guys, but I think the full game of Sugary Spire when it comes out will be better than Pizza Tower. Their art is simply more polished in almost every aspect, their mechanics are super well done and that's just the first floor!

2 steps foward and 1/5 steps back from the previous demo, while some additions on the graphical and gameplay part are great(the size of the levels, pizzele new sprites), the game lost a bunch of neat details and gameplay ideas for the sake of "emulating/be like" the final version of Pizza Tower without considering what was good and what was not (especially counting that in some aspects, the older demos are better than the final version) and what they did better compared to PT (i much prefer the old sugary spire artstyle than the new, just compar the background and you'll see) with my main complain being with how weigthless the escape scenes are compare to the older demo, in the older the screen had a red alarm like overlay, distorce and melts itslef and also tilts looking like that the world is actually entering in collapse, now its just a time to go to the beigining off the level with some levels (cottontown didn't have one) changes on the background, please just seach some gameplay of the older demo and this new one to compare (alongside with pizza tower, watch the sage 2019 version of pizzascape and compare the escape part with the final version) this attempt of trying to be like final pizza tower note to note honnestly made the game its charm of the 'demo in between the sage and 2021 build) how you want emulate the final version of pizza tower without considering some off its short comings (some aspects the older demos are better than the final version) and for the game itself, i gonna be honest but for me the game kinda lost its charm of the "demo in between the sage and 2021 build")

I don't care what any of you think about this game - I think these "talented" people needed to latch on to something like PT just because they couldn't make anything original on their own. They copied mcpig's homework basically and just changed it up it so it wouldn't come off as 1:1 theft.
