Specifically to Led Zeppelin Boots: Firstly, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your work bringing Zeppelin bootlegs to such a high standard so such a huge audience of fans can enjoy and experience the magic of Led Zeppelin live. Secondly, I fully agree with you that this is one of Jimmy Page's best live solos. The phrasing, the emotion, the technical skill and the colours he brings are all exceptional. I am a guitarist with over 40 years experience and recognise these things. And Boots, dont listen to all those who say Jimmy was sloppy and/or under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Yes he had his problems but you've only got to listen to Zeppelin at the Forum in Los Angeles in 1977, when he was supposedly at the height of his "addiction ' to realise nobody could play like that if they were as deep in addiction as people make out. Further, Jimmy himself has said around this period he was not eating properly, relying on banana daiquiri's, and it's not surprising he lost weight. Yes there are below par performances but Jimmy had such a huge weight of expectation on him every time he went on stage, and that would have taken its toll on anyone. There wasn't the medical help and support available there is now. Those days you just got on with it best you could. Tha fact Jimmy came through and not just got through but was able to give us a performance like this is testament to the man's strength of character. He truly is one of the best guitarists in the rock world, and in his prime, say 68 to 73, was THE best.
My favorite Zeppelin song since it's first release. Of course they never made a bad song, and there are so many that are just as good as this, but this one has always touched me on a level I cannot match. The gentleness, then the driving rhythms, the up/down - it's as if it is making love to me! And the words are so good. This is on my "memorial" playlist I've given to my children to be played when I pass over. Love seeing Robert and Jimmy together here! Thank you, Robert Plant, for all of the amazing music you have, and continue to bring to this world.
The drummer might have been energetic but the song starts out slow tempoed and when the drum come in its a bit fast for how Page started it out. Obviously hes tryin to hit the drums hard but hes no bonzo. Its like his adenaline is just a bit much. Thats why when Bozo passed, the band was over. Not a drummer that could replace him. I guarantee Bonzo would not have played this tempo. But hey, he wasnt Bonnam & im sure he did the best he coukd. I dont believe he knew page was gonna take a solo the way he did. Its as though the drummer was struggling a bit keeping the same beat as the rythym..the original Zeppelin was an improvising band and they all listened closely to what the other was doing. Page, didnt sound as good to me at the slower tempo. As though it didnt come as naturally and the bam tempo goes full throttle. A bit much variation on the tempo. But hey its live and thats just what you get sometimes. Still would have enjoyed seeing them perform even if they did seem a bit out of sync
During this tour, I sat 2nd row. It was amazing to see Page that close. His fingers are magic. I could not believe how many guitars he had lined up, changing for different songs.

Saw them in ‘77 Greensboro Coliseum, NC, the ol’ USA… On Bonzo’s Birthday!!! Greatest (and LOUDEST) Show On Earth!! We sang Happy Birthday at Plant’s request!!! 9:00 until 1:20AM!!! STILL WOW!!!!!
No they never played 'Stairway to Heaven' on any of those tours Plant & Page did in the late 1990s. Plant has also never played it on any of his solo tours either. It was just a tease. They did that at the show I saw in Hartford CT too.
coreycox2345 I think the page and plant revival was a lost opportunity, you can hear they aren’t just playing the same songs, they added some creativity, things they either picked up along the way or that got left behind during zeppelin
No kidding. I wish there were more work from him. I know of "Fate Of Nations" but that's it. I also wish he had gotten more attention and respect as he deserved more than he received. I also wish there had been more acknowledgement of his tragic passing.
I preferred Mike Lee to Jason Bonham. Lee played like a beast every night with Page/Plant in '95 and'98. He also played live with Page during Net Aid. He was involved in a lot of projects with those two. Great drummer. I was so sad when he passed away. RIP 💔

Allways used this song when I'm practising my finger style picking and was looking for if there's something I've missed or could do better. And I found this video. Oh my........
Jimi just plays the guitar the right way. It’s got nothing to do with technique. He plays from the heart every song and plays it different every time. The way it should ALWAYS be done, or it’s not music.
I'm never tired of all Page' solos, especially those related to BIGL, never repeating them and Plant going beyond any expectation 💪🔥🤟 Greetings from Danmark 🤜 🇩🇰 🤛
very few guitarists have master the full capabilities of the instrument like Page, Beck, Gilmore, Scholz and few others who truly invented all the sounds that have been plagiarized, emulated or outright copied
Critical MX other than moby dick riff (which is mainly for the drum solo anyways) and the bring it on home riff, and the baseline for Dazed and confused, page never did any stealing. The stealing was otherwise all on the lyrical side; related to the lyrics or title of the song

one of the greatest guitar solos by Page !
Hey...Jimmy and Robert thanks for all those years!!!
This whole performance was incredibly beautiful...loved the new solo as well..the Stairway to Heaven at the end, Robert's tenderness in his voice cradling the song as he would a child..the whole song amazing..love Plant and Page.

I think this was one of Jimmy Page's greatest nights. Robert's too! Wonderful performance!
Saw them in 69 or 70 right after they released their 2nd album. It was everything you could hope for.
Plants voice is pure Guinness. And Jimmy is just the Greatest Guitar player ever. Pure Gold
RIP Michael Lee-Awesome Drummer!!!
Great shout; he's often overlooked considering the company, but that man was a powerhouse. So tragic him leaving the stage so young.
World has given us many magnificent musicians. Led Zeppelin belongs to them...
It’s a very, very nice cover of a song written by Joan Baez in 1962!!
One of the best songs ever. The way how it is build up, the tense in it. Genius.
@Robert plant I had better times, but keep going! Thank you for asking! How are things on your side?
Energy from the drummer👌🏽
He died in 2008 :( He was a strong drummer
The drummer in this video is bozo son.
Jaime Piña wrong. It’s michael lee (not Jason Bonham)
Jaime Piña you no nothing
LZ best band to ever exist!
During this tour, I sat 2nd row. It was amazing to see Page that close. His fingers are magic. I could not believe how many guitars he had lined up, changing for different songs.
That song has so many memories... And Jimmy`s guitar...
Jimmy Page - quintessence of music - tight sweatshirt, crease pants - does not matter. no one plays the guitar like that
I pray I pray to see just one show before I die. 🙏🏻
My god, they made it sound like a different song. Absolutely tremendous.

The Rock Gods as always at there best...Thank you for all the years of wonderful music, Robert & Jimmy
Peter Monty what about John and Bonham?
Its Led Zeppelin's works Not page and plant alone....
Any applause for Jimmy???
He's beyond!!!
Robert's voice defines Led zeppelin but what would happen if Jimmy wasn't jamming like he does???
Love them both ❤
Amazing drummer too!!!!!!!!
Well Robert Plant was one of the greatest frontmen in Rock ever.
And yes, Jimmy Page was one of the greatest lead guitarists in Rock ever.
But also, John Paul Jones was one of the greatest bass players in Rock, ever.
And yes. I guess John Bonham was one of the greatest drummers in Rock ever, too.
But besides those four, *everyone else in Led Zeppelin, all sucked!!!*
😜
Wonderful, So good when they are sober, I like the Page and Plant stuff it's Extra Special.
Robert Plant rocks it at any age. Love his voice, forever.
It's so melancholic, yet it's so powerful!
Most stunning version I ever heard. Genial harmony change under solo, incredible Page performance, and final citation of Stairway. Phenomenal.
There are no words to describe how their music make me feel. Castles in the sky.
Hell yeah🤘🤘🤘🤘
Robert wow ...still melting me
After 36 yrs ..badass.
Pure talent of Zeppelin never
Goes out of style...👏🙌🔥

Saw them in ‘77 Greensboro Coliseum, NC, the ol’ USA… On Bonzo’s Birthday!!! Greatest (and LOUDEST) Show On Earth!! We sang Happy Birthday at Plant’s request!!! 9:00 until 1:20AM!!!
STILL WOW!!!!!
Man that drummer is literally on fire
He has to be in order to play like Bonham.
@@deniseinight9596 Does full justice to the song. The same passion is the key, IMO
No, that’s not true
M.L. was a beast. The stars that burn twice as bright often tragically burn half as long
Yes he was he has died also like John
Best song! Best singer! 👌
Robert Plant is not from this planet💖💕
Let's face it people there will never ever be another band that evens comes close to the Greatest rock band in the world !!!
Aerosmith

Oh, this is lovely! Oh dear Lord, how awesome are these men💋🌹
To good from up r way best all ways
Jimmy Page- pure Genius !!
Wow the ending was surprising.. baby I'm gonna leave you to stairway to heaven. 😍
No they never played 'Stairway to Heaven' on any of those tours Plant & Page did in the late 1990s. Plant has also never played it on any of his solo tours either. It was just a tease. They did that at the show I saw in Hartford CT too.
Carl Clandestine listen to the guitar part at the end man...
1:53 hard to believe he can go that high in his age
He still has it, CookieRepairProjects.
coreycox2345 I think the page and plant revival was a lost opportunity, you can hear they aren’t just playing the same songs, they added some creativity, things they either picked up along the way or that got left behind during zeppelin
After smoking cigarettes for a long time nowhere near as good as 69 and 70s
For me, this is the best solo I have ever heard Page play, period! Jimmy Page & Robert Plant performs "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You"
RIP Michael Lee a great drummer
No kidding. I wish there were more work from him. I know of "Fate Of Nations" but that's it. I also wish he had gotten more attention and respect as he deserved more than he received. I also wish there had been more acknowledgement of his tragic passing.
Did he play with the cult
@@marcolopez-vi9jb He did, he's the drummer on Live Cult. He's trying way too hard here though.
I preferred Mike Lee to Jason Bonham. Lee played like a beast every night with Page/Plant in '95 and'98. He also played live with Page during Net Aid. He was involved in a lot of projects with those two.
Great drummer. I was so sad when he passed away. RIP 💔
hugolafhugolaf you think so !! I think he fricken killed it !
Awesome 👍😎
The Page & Plant Tour/Walking Into Clarksdale. Stellar performance 👏♥️👠
Michael Lee's Drums brought Page and Plant back from the dead in the 90's.....God Bless that guy.....
Oh my God!!!!
We need a Page Plant world tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael Lee on drums kicking ass!
Zeppelin loved the kid and he toured with them for a while!!!
God Bless him and Bonham🙏🙏💯
Jimmy and Robert... effortless talent. A musical masterclass.
I saw Zeppelin in 1977 , saw Robert Plant solo with Robbie Blunt , and then saw Robert Plant and Jimmy Page twice all at Irvine Meadows back in the late 80's into the 90's.....The very best....RIP John Bonham...You will be forever missed and remembered....🎤🎸🎸🥁🔥💪👊🙏
Paige: let me just casually drop in this Stairway riff
Me:🤯
The audience lost it. Biggest applause for that.
Hands down!!! The greatest live concert here on TH-cam. 🙏🙌 masterpiece.
Just saw Robert last night! He still has it, pretty amazing.
Where?
@@WisdomOverWicked777Rules Bend, Oregon!
This was just f.....ng amaaaaaazing.
Think it's the best performance by Page I've ever seen
Allways used this song when I'm practising my finger style picking and was looking for if there's something I've missed or could do better.
And I found this video.
Oh my........
solo so ear splitting good it's worth partial hearing loss. So much fire and passion in one solo.... Mr. Jimmy Page.
Jimi just plays the guitar the right way. It’s got nothing to do with technique. He plays from the heart every song and plays it different every time. The way it should ALWAYS be done, or it’s not music.
👍 Fantastic music, unbelievable voice and super guitar! 👍
Robert and Jimmy - best team 👍
I'm never tired of all Page' solos, especially those related to BIGL, never repeating them and Plant going beyond any expectation 💪🔥🤟
Greetings from Danmark 🤜 🇩🇰 🤛
You want the best, Jimmy Page is it, plain & simple!
very few guitarists have master the full capabilities of the instrument like Page, Beck, Gilmore, Scholz and few others who truly invented all the sounds that have been plagiarized, emulated or outright copied
*Gilmour
You may wish to learn a little more history. I love led zeppelin, but they ripped off a lot of material.
u forgot hendrix 🤦
@@TheFreddyfloyd ripped lyrics, not guitar parts (or like 3 riffs in their discography)
Critical MX other than moby dick riff (which is mainly for the drum solo anyways) and the bring it on home riff, and the baseline for Dazed and confused, page never did any stealing. The stealing was otherwise all on the lyrical side; related to the lyrics or title of the song
This rocks. Jimmy and Robert🌠🎸💫🌟
There’s no one better. May their music live on forever …
This was the best concert I've EVER attended! So glad I saw them with my best friend who has since passed, miss you buddy. (If this was WASH DC then I was in the 8th row center ...FnAmzg!) Thank you for freezing time.
I humbly bow to their greatness ! Better than ever, forever more, Led Zeppelin!!! An overwhelming performance by Robert Plant & Jimmy Page! Thank you both!
🇬🇷❤️Led Zeppelin ❤️Robert Plant ♥️Forever ♥️Gratitude from A huge Fan in Athens, GR Hellas ♥️🇬🇷Thank you, Robert!!!!! ♥️
