- In 2007, a benefit concert to commemorate the life of music executive Ahmet Ertegun was staged with a reunited Led Zeppelin as the main act. They played several of their most famous songs to an enthusiastic crowd and coordinating a professional recording of the show[2] with 16 cameras,[3] with the prospect of a home video release. Rumors immediately circulated that the recording would become available, but the following year, band member Jimmy Page said that release wasn't certain and that it required mixing and would be a "massive job to embark on."[4] Bassist John Paul Jones agreed that he would like to see it released commercially, but that there was no timeline.[5] Even through 2010, Page was uncertain of the status of the album.[6] On 9 September 2012, the band updated their Facebook page, which led to widespread speculation that the release was finally ready.[7] Details leaked over the following days, with a source telling The Sun on 11 September that the album was due for release later that year[8] and theatre web sites announcing airings of the film slated for the following month.[9]

Led Zeppelin hasn't changed a bit after all these years
I grew up listening 🎶 to all their music during the 70's and 80's. Best time for rock n roll. I'm 66now and still listen. They rock!
I am Russian, was born in the Soviet Union and I'm 53 years. The first time I heard Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple in 1974, and I was just shocked that you can play like that. At that time their music was officially banned, but we found these amazing songs where anyone could and repeatedly copied from each other on an old reel tape recorders. A lot has changed in our country, there are many good Russian rock groups, but a fantastic Staiway to Heaven still shakes me to the depths of the soul.

Same. I've been listening to Zep since December 2023 (what a shame) and have fallen for them, especially for Jimmy. I love their music and Jimmy's spectacular guitar playing. Their creativity is just stunning. I wish, I had seen them live.

The classic song of all genres. Starts off as a gentle ballad, and ends in a crescendo of rock and roll! Such an amazing bunch of talented musicians, all four. I was 9 when I first heard this song in 1969, the first album I bought was Led Zeppelin 4.

In 1971-72 I heard Led Zeppelin in concert at the Long Beach, CA Arena. Wow so great! such power from his voice, what a special time my friends and I had riding home in Sharons VW, just amazed about this concert!! It was a ride! Still love to here them....oh yea by the way, I am old girl now, was 24 at the time..

In the end it all comes down to this. The Greatest Song Of All Time! No matter how Percy protests, this above all else is their legacy. Everyone came expecting to hear Stairway. The song that inspired guitarists all over the world to play. The song that takes every heart to a special place. The song we all know from the first note / chord! The music to our lives!

technically you are right but this isn’t a legends album ! We all have the originals to cling onto which are simply immense if you want perfect pitch - quite frankly the song is so embedded in my soul I can give them some slack x

I had the chance to see this concert in person but couldn't get myself to pay the price of tickets (it was a fundraising event). I worked only a few miles away from the O2 at the time. The cheapest tickets I could find were about $15,000 USD with most going $40K for a pair of tickets. These were face value tickets of $300-500 each going for $15K-20K each. And they sold in minutes when placed at the resale booth near the O2. There were lines of people waiting to buy them in expensive cars. No way I was going to get in on that :( Page is to this day the reason I picked up a guitar 40 years ago!
