I’ve got the same set up in my limitless. I noticed the brakes were weak on mine, even after changing them in the esc.

JayTee. THIS IS JUST MY GAME. I am still waiting on my Limitless to arrive, and I have two power plants (already in) to power it with. My first installation will be the Firma 8s system. I have high hopes for this configuration, and the other is the Castle Mamba 8s with 1717 motor. I am perplexed how you have your second one and I'm still waiting on my first. I will definitely be waiting to see how you outfit this one, and the performance you get. I am looking more to circuit vs speed runs, and believe the smart electronics will provide the feedback and electronic dial-in capabilities to maximize performance.

Now that is some serious power going in there👌💪 I'm still running mine with Tekin RX8. I love running it with the center diff.
If you are trying to get some speed out of that 1250kv motor, your going to need the 29T spool gear and a huge pinion. I have a 44t/29t on that same motor with an MMX8S in my Typhon 6s GT and have hit 137mph. Biggest pinion I can find is 46t so I hope to hit 140mph with that pinion, but that’s the end of the road with that system. I have a higher KV motor coming.

Nice job! I went and got the same set up. I did the bind and restarted, I have steering but not throttle, did you have the same problem?

I have a max5 1100 cut a gap on passenger side lipo side and moved 1st position part to second position screw so I have full batteries tray and cut esc plate facing batteries tray so esc mounts in and running 27/35 mod 1.5 fits perfect
Don't forget to bite the tires...🤣👍🏼💯

Jaytee, just curious if you have ran this system with the stock 34t spool with the included 27t pinion. It appears that this is just enough to secure the motor to the motor mount all the way in with proper mesh. However, with this same setup I have currently in my limitless, there's a slight motor cogging when slowly rolling on the throttle. Once it gets rolling, it seems to be okay. Just curious if you or anyone else has experienced this with stock spur and pinion combo.

Im using the spektrun firma 160 1250kv motor combo as well as spektrum 6S 50c and 2x 4S 50c batteries
What gearing can you use without overheating 🥵 issues? I m running center diff also with 50t!

You should be able to run a 20 tooth pinion gear and be fine that's what I run

I love the look. 6S blx power would be good for me to start with. 8s is insane those tires will roast lol. O good idea with the diff I’ll have to do the same. Great video Jay like the onroad stuff.

SMC is awesome batteries. I run SMC 9400s in my Xmaxx. Stay away from Trinity Graphenes junk and customer service sucks they don’t back there stuff.

What servo you running
I ordered the new 8s outcast and i cannot get a straight answer from horizon hobby arrma or amain about the spektrum Bluetooth and telemetry setup. The new dx3 comes with the outcast 8s and the dx3 has a flap ontop that opens and accepts the bluetooth module. But all the spektrum instructions and videos cover nothing about the dx3 and telemetry the videos all say that you must buy the 20 some dollar usb connector and you have to update the transmitter and the receiver with your computer before you can run the bluetooth and telemetry and dashboard app but is that true for the new dx3 and receiver? Shouldn't they come up to date? I cannot get a straight answer from any company associated with spektrum does anyone know? They say smart esc but i have to buy a usb cord and update the rx and the tx and then buy the Bluetooth module and it will work with the app? I look at the spektrum app and t they are all 1 star rated and everyone says they don't work so what's the point? Why is it smart? Because i can see battery voltage? If anyone knows about this please let me know 👍 thanks

Pretty much same combo I first had in my limitless. I put a max6 with a surpass hobby rocket 4585 1500kv
