That's wicked... this hobby has come so far, I can't wait until my Firma 150 Amp ESC and motor combo get here for the Kraton EXB, I just picked up a DX5 Pro for this very reason. Finally, everything in one complete package!

Very cool stuff. Telemetry is a big part of my rcn experience. Have it in everything I own. Detects problems before they get real expensive. I wanna try this esc, looks very interesting especially with the future motor. Hope these new products hold up. Just a really fun component of the hobby 👍👌

Interesting motor choice... 🤔 Why not just use the motor from the Super Rock Rey?

Because a rey 750kv motor doesn't have the RPM, Its all torque, on the limitless you need both, thats why a 1250kv motor is perfect, for this application, and its weight.
Does this setup log ripple voltage? Wondering if capacitor pack is needed (it usually is).

Nice I wished you'd mention how to fit the 160A esc in the limitless esc tray. The mounting tabs are in the way. Or did you replace the mounting tray from out of the Infraction or Felony? Otherwise you will have to cut the tabs off.
Chop Chop! ;) Hack the tabs off and use included mounting tape to stick it in the tray. Hope that helps!
Did you use the rechargeable batteries in the tx? How do you recharge them, take them out each time?
Hello, Just received my limitless today and Spektrum receiver. Any updates on the motor that was used. Noticed a 1/5 scale Losi due to be released soon has a Spektrum motor.
So how does the Transmitter calculate the speed? It receives RPM data from the car - is there some setting that converts RPM to speed in the controller (as difference gear ratios would affect this calculation)?
It is a built in calculator in the transmitter. It takes the gear ratio, RPM of the motor, and the roll out of the drive train and boom, you got mph/kph

Hi there, will the Spektrum motor fit on the stock Arrma motor mount?
Ok, ready to pull the trigger and get one, (wife said yes, so gotta move quick!) :) so, if you built one to corner and accelerate well and top end was not a concern and Spektum was all the goods inside, what we your build be? You put the list up, I will cut, paste and purchase. (Gotta beat neighbor, he is doing another build, so, help me here! :) Parking lot, court stuff, no long straight-aways.

Spektrum 150esc and stock 3220kv motor on 6s rips.. I also did a hw max8 combo in my granite, 38 spool 27t pinion.. runs hard ASF!!

Hey I just recently picked up the limitless and took my entire load out from my infraction and installed in the limitless just to see how it would run. Used the gear that came with the limitless and it’s running like crap. If I punch it, it just makes an awful noise I have to really ease into it. Any suggestions on what the problem might be? Everything worked perfect in my infraction.
Gearing. The limitless has that 36t spool and that is way to much for the box system. It might work better if u have a cap pack but you either need to change that spool out to a center diff or change ur system to something better
i have a question about the 150amp smart esc. I want to pair it on my v4 kraton with the stock motor, what telemetry will be available?

Always get minimal info on these videos. How did the ESC fit in? What Gearing? Motor looks like a different one than first shown. I'm sure no details were given because it was not an EASY install.
Its the 1250kv motor with the 160a esc combo that they sell...In order to fit the esc in you have to cut the tabs off and the motor fits in just like it should and he's prbly just using what the car came with for the gearing. Most of the info is in the desc but he could've shown the stuff going in just by doing a time lapse.

@@SpektrumRCvideos How do I set the roll out on the DX6R? It only accepts whole numbers, I tried 2.99" it shows up as 299. There is no(") sign on the numeric keyboard.
What is the length of the 1250kv motor spectrum the same as 1100kv?
does a 1100kv spectrum motor fit on the arrma limitless?
1100kv is quite a bit bigger, and I doubt it would fit with out some sort of modification.
Someone said that there was no GPS on the spectrum system??
How did you get all that to fit? Motor and esc came today. With how you have it set up the motor wiers are not long enough and the esc dose not fit how you have it
Mike Ward the esc I cut the mounts off and double sided it in. Motor takes a bit of adjustment. Had to loosen the diff mount then pushed motor in and re tightened the diff mount

Correct the motor fits easy just have to work it in . HeAt sheiks will not work. Esc just cut tabs back just enough a screw will still hold . But I cut and just double sided tape. You can’t pull it out with the tape. Point the esc motor leads toward the motor.

To get the firma 160 esc in did you have to cut or remove anything from the esc

No we did have to shave the mounting tabs off and mount with double sided tape. Not a big deal and does not void warranty. Thanks!
Awesome, will the 160amp firma be a marketable diff from the 150am blx? Ive got all other spektrum smart tech including the dx5c/sr6100at so I figured it was the "smart" moves..... forgive the pun lmfao im just getting back into the hobby after 8ish years plus im new to electric cars so im trying to learn as much as I can. Is there a noticeable difference between 150amp and 160amp ? Plus I saw two different firma 160 models, one was $199 and the other was $209.99. Whats the difference?
@@jjirish81 on 6S, both of them should perform the same. BUT the 160 can handle 8S :) the 2 different Firma 160 are that one comes with a Capacitor pack which is there to help with voltage feedback when braking, which is good for speed run cars like the Limitless.

How do I fit the Firma 160 into my Limitless? This is my first car so please excuse the dumbarse questions.
For our build we took a dremel cut off wheel to the mounting tabs and placed into the esc tray. Used some high quality double sided mounting tape. There are other methods as well but that took the least amount of modification.
When spektrum dx6r update for smart technology ?
I have a quest about my Vendetta. As you know it has a 100amp ESC with the 3660 3900kv. I have been having much trouble with LVC. The car goes into a safe mode or limo mode, even when my 3s batteries are still full. I also have the Spektrum programmer and each cell is exactly balanced. Now I’m just staring to learn about the AVC feature. Can the AVC possibly be causing my car to go into Low Voltage Cutoff? I downloaded the latest updates for the box and Esc. I set the LVC to 3.2v and it still does it. I am merely trying to just drive in a straight line. Speedrun it. I mean it literally has happened everytime I’ve tried driving it. Any tips to lookout for? Please help. I did purchase this car direct from Arrma, maybe the Esc is bad? I don’t know but it is frustrating.

I just bout the dx5pro and the hole set up this guy put in their litmitless and I just cant figure it out I can’t put my gps to work my litmitless feels like it won’t brake it takes off to fast my motor and esc trun hot in less the 10 min I’m just about done with this set up can’t get it to deal inn and when I put my Traxxas receiver everything just runs soso smooth need help

The balance of the car is not very good because the motor weight 732grs and the combo servo, esc, receiver and box 400max...

Brought this whole setup and the esc will not calibrate, im going to return all this crap, been trying every chance I get for 2 weeks, instructions sound real simple but it just does not work
Hi Mike, If you bought this whole setup then there would be no need to calibrate the esc, it is all precalibrated for Spektrum. What exactly is the issue?
@@SpektrumRCvideos car won't move and steering works fine. Couldn't calibrate esc. Last ditch effort I changed the reciever from the new sr6100at to a reciever that came with my dx4r pro and it works fine. In removing the 6100 I accidentally pulled off the antenna wire ruining the brand new 90 dollar reciever. I thought paring the smart esc, smart reciever, and smart batteries would be easy and give me full telemetry. It just would not work.
@@SpektrumRCvideos if you dident have to calibrate for spektrum it should say so in the manual. I wasted 2 weeks and ruined my brand new reciever in the process.
@@mikew9788 Feel free to mail in the receiver to us. We can get the antenna replaced. Sounds like it was not the esc that needed calibrated but rather the rx. Keep an eye out for our next self help video where we go into more depth on setting up the SR6100AT rx.
@@SpektrumRCvideos I calibrated the rx and it worked fine, full throttle, full brake, full right , full left, it worked and confirmed at every step, still did not work. I would love to get the antenna replaced and try again but something isn't right. Mabey it isn't compatible with my dx4r pro

Ken Design They actually worked fine, but for the speed run we did use 2 100c 4S Smart packs
@@SpektrumRCvideos 0:55 you need to edit your video. People are going to be overheating their gear trying to do tall pinion speed runs because they saw your video with 30c packs.
Well one great thing about Smart ESC and batteries is you can monitor the temps and set alarms to keep your equipment in check, with no extra modules needed. Great for speed running because heat is the leading cause of death in speed run models! #themoreyouknow . We will add that the 30c packs honestly did very well and nothing got beyond our temp alarm settings so we are confident they can handle this particular setup.
Now go run it with a STX2. What, you don't like that cheap radio? Neither does anyone else buying +$500 rc's.

Unless the power output of this specktrum ESC is as good as Castle creations 200 amp ESC, you wasting our time. You should compare your ESC against castle's esc to prove your worth.

LOL yeah it was a unrelease motor, it is out now. Same motor found in the Kraton 8S.
