As an industrial product designer, this is really impressive. The exposed PCB and having only one way to hold it makes it not an option for me, but the continued weight and geometry optimisations across the different versions have been just crazy to follow along. One thing I can offer advice on, is that since you're using 3D printing anyways, You should offer a left handed version as well, from what I've seen of the PCB and 3D model, it seems as simple as mirroring the shell, so might as well go the extra mile to not exclude any of the already very niche potential customers. Also, if your 3D printing partner offers that option, different colors of Nylon could be nice, especially if finalmouse can make different colors of PCBs to match the shell.
I agree it might be a great option! but if you were to make a left handed version you might have to flip the pcb as well because of the button placement which is a massive headache and much more work than simply mirroring the design
@@travisc8406 Unless I'm missing something, the button placement seems fully symmetrical, it's the shell that varies in height, but the actual contact with the buttons is at the same height and position on both side. And although the attachment arms to the PCB are shaped differently since they don't connect on the same spots of the shell, the PCB itself has fully symmetrical attachment points.
As a lay person I had a similar assessment regarding the PCB - to me it would be worth sacrificing an additional gram or two and have an ABS/acrylic cover over the board. It looks great but it would get dirty easily and be a pain/risk to clean, and I wouldn't be confident about the durability of the product. I'd love to see a drop test as well, seriously doubt this mouse will handle the minor impacts of falling off a desk onto a hard floor that most full-bodied mice can easily take. Just my 2c, otherwise I think its an ingenious product that optimizes one design spec really really well.
I've worked with nylon pa12 off a jet fusion printer and it's incredible. no visible print lines, nearly unidirectional properties. really nice to see informed materials and manufacturing choices, especially with a high-strain application like this. idk if it will be in the cards to pick one up but just know I love this work you're doing.

In the "zeromouse" logo it looks like you are using ø, latin small letter o with stroke (U+00F8) used in for example the Norwegian & Danish language. More fitting would be to use the mathematical sign for empty set, Ø (U+2205). The stroke is supposed to be angled more upwards, often close to 60° for the mathematical sign.

A purely fingertip grip mouse, especially at that weight (19g) would result in immensely unstable and shaky aim. I've been waiting and waiting for sooo long, it feels, since the mod-kit got out of stock. I expected another mod-kit to come out, but this is pure insanity. I'm so glad, both for us consumers and you as an entrepreneur, that you've made a full mouse. I can't wait to try it out!
Agreed. Hate to see big companies never trying anything new and spamming the same shaped mouse to the market over and over again. Yes "default" shaped mouse is the most popular one and will sell, but i think there is something waiting for us in the future. Same thing happened with wooting and HE-keyboards. I guarantee some company could make a mouse that would be the new g-pro in popularity if they tried something new.
It's not really competition if they're the one selling the product. It's also amazing advertising for them; in this video Ali talks about how their tech is "best in the business", and ultra lightweight mouses are a very niche product, so that funnels anyone interested in a high end gaming mouse straight into Finalmouse's sales channel.
Side buttons would affect aim on that weight but side buttons are usually used when you don't need precise aim, e.g. melee at the end of a kill, crouching to rotate pre fight. Even non-mouse switch buttons would work since they're not that frequently used, just those square half size switches with a little paddle
Honestly, I’m just glad that this is something that can be made by hobbyists if they go through the printing process (obv you can’t get the dope PCB but at this point I’m so done waiting for my M3K that I’d much prefer using something like this)

Insane how? Regular, mass produced mice like g pro superlight, razer viper pro has an MSRP of $160. The price is great for a bespoke, small-batch product designed for purists.
crazy cheap yeah, same price as other mass produced lightweight mice for a low volume custom product. idk how he's gonna make a profit on this, i would've expected to pay $450+
It would be very neat with a transparent thin sheet of acrylic/plastic, that would go across the whole board to protect from grease, water, etc. With small groves on the inner side of the 3D housing, you could potentially slide the sheet in from the back of the mouse, with a cut-out at the end if it for the wheel and buttons. You could then do a package of like 5 sheets, maybe even in different colours, for when they break, needs changing, cleaning etc. Next part of the build, you're welcome ;)
Given how light this mouse already is, I think it would be really neat to try printing a one off metal version. Normal mice can’t be metal but I’m sure this one could and would still be realistically viable. It would go against making a super light gaming mouse, but I’m sure it’d make for a really sweet looking piece of tech - especially if you post process it nicely. Super impressive stuff!

You know, when the first two versions of the zero mouse hit, i was kinda sceptical, not because of the product in itself, but because i was a bit apprehensive of buying a viper (if i'm not mistaken) just to empty it and transfer the pcb to the zero mouse. With the mouse being now a complete package, having a finalmouse pcb and supported by the firmware, it really feels like the project has matured and reached a completely new dimension. I dont want to put words in your mouth or pretend i understand the emotions you could feel seeing your project bear fruits like that, but as a viewer of this channel for quite some time, seeing it evolve like that and reach maturity in such a way kinda puts me at a loss for words and forces respect, and i'm glad i have been able to follow this journey from the sidelines. As I new fingertip grip user, I previously depended heavily on side buttons, now I’m learning newer binds on keyboard and entirely disregarding side buttons for the reasons stated above.
I don’t see Mr ex powerlifter adding side buttons
Heresy
i think never
bro i just love to open your channel and see that u uploaded
the editing and the video quality is insane
its pure satisfaction
i have been subbed for almost a week
and i have watched like 7 videos already
keep up the good work
I really recommend adding more fillets in corners. It will make your mouse structure a lot better in different load cases etc. Sharp corners are stress concentrators.
Ahhh the feeling of coming home and seeing a new optimum video to then watch it on the tv while just relaxing and appreciate peak tech.
Literally just watched that original one year-old video today. So impressive and creative. Badass.
Dude invented a whole new mouse and going to make his own company. Insane lore
Invented lol.
@1stRanger He did? :) Unique never seen design for a mouse with reverse clicks and all.
@@AKagNA invented? ROFLMAO
really happy to have seen the full journey , this just makes me think that every thought can be fully structured into becoming a very powerful invention
hey optimum i love the brutalist rooms/warehouse/whatever the hell place your in. I love brutalism and it makes your videos SOOOO appealing and calming. i love the grey simplicity of the walls. (love the vids)
Fantastic. But why does it use micro USB and not USB-C?
Weight savings, i don't know if it is true but it should net about 0,5-1 gram in savings.
9:40 its def using an usb-c and not micro usb
@@ellitle7608 thats definitely micro usb
@@yukea Shot of the motherboard right before this shows the other side, and pin count is more than the 5 of a Micro-USB port and is correct for USB-C. It just looks like Micro because the center of the connector's shielding has been trimmed out + camera angles not giving a clear profile on it.
Probably cause it's heavier?
Bro got the jxmyhighroller background music. Yall kind of the both the goats of your youtube genre so I respect it.
Yeah i was waiting for there to be a graph or chart just randomly pop up getting ready to blow your mind
Do you know when falcon comes out? The possiblity to have the best pcb but create your own 3d bodies to mold to your own hand sounds amazing
Very impressive, missed out on the previous drops hopefully I can get in on this one. Watching your growth over the past years has been great.
You got the ultimate keyboard built, the ultimate mouse, now it's time for you to start making monitors lol
Glad to see there are still some people trying to push innovative and improved products out there.
Would love to try this out but I will admit the omission of side buttons is a bit daunting to me. I use the side buttons a lot so it will be quite the learning curve. Awesome work, always great to see people push the limits.
Side buttons on a mouse are overrated. Keybinds skill issue. 😅
@@TheMostSavageOfAllGeesesome games just have way too many key binds. And ppl have small hands. Ever played Tarkov? Prob not. With that kinda comment u seem like u exclusively play CoD
@@TheMostSavageOfAllGeese Other way around
@@SteelKreel Cod is absolute terrible franchise and would advise all gamers that give a shit about themselves, their enjoyment factor while gaming and willingness to support development studios that actually care about their customers to never play cod games. Game choice issue. 😅
@@jesperburns keyboard form factor issue?😅
The next iteration will just be a laser diode taped to pinky finger, and haptic mousepad for the button press.
That's what I'm thinking. Some sort of fingertip + advanced mousepad combo.
Still too heavy for him. He needs it to make his hands lighter so he can get MAXIMUM SKILL LEVEL
@@grunzythepotato exactly, just remove a pinky finger
@@RicochetForce 2025 is the year of trackpad gaming, only need 1 finger to operate lol
@@tapebysea Bro, I would laugh my ass off if the endpoint of all this is just a damn trackpad.
multi-million companies trying to build a lightweight mice;
this one guy with a 3D model:
This just shows how suboptimal companies and their bored employees are.
Ali has skill and passionand creativity, and that really counts
@cactuscat8009 yes!
how do we know he isn't a multi-million company
@@cactuscat8009 The product that is meant to be sold worldwide has to be durable, so the company doesn't have to repair and replace too many units. Also such mouse is extremely niche thing, so the price tag would be ridiculous. That's why asus, corsair, cooler master, razer, etc are rather copying gpx than making super optimal, sub 20g mice.
This mouse is really cool but super niche. This mouse is very fragile and companies can’t have that when they are selling a product. The companies support teams would be put through hell 😂
thats crazy that finalmouse were interested & that you got them to make a pcb for your brand. Rare YT product releases like this are so cool dud
I've been watching this guys content since this video.
His content always makes me feel welcome and understood. As if he had me and other viewers like me in mind.
We’re so back
if you were able to add a option with side buttons I would buy one immediately
Looks fantastic, but I just can't do without the forward/back thumb buttons on my mouse (melee and reload in my case for gaming). I know it goes against the "lightest at all cost", but if you could add the two thumb buttons somehow (exploit that cross-brace for the thumb presses?), I would instantly buy it!
There's a whole keyboard on your desk, you can always learn to use newer binds.
i don't even play fps anymore but i'm hella excited for this thing
mainly because in the last year or so i've purchased my frist 3D printer and started to design my first thing and can't even imagine how can you feel to have you're product being this successful
This channel has grown so much and its so awesome to see! I am here for it.
Nice! Just curious though, why not use optical switches?
Battery life I assume
I've been waiting and waiting for sooo long, it feels, since the mod-kit got out of stock. I expected another mod-kit to come out, but this is pure insanity. I'm so glad, both for us consumers and you as an entrepreneur, that you've made a full mouse. I can't wait to try it out!
Have to respect finalmouse for enabling competition for the sake of progress
I never thought I would want this... until I looked down at my hand fingertip gripping my mouse. Truly an enthusiast project. I love it.
Praying this sells out 5mins slower so I can finally get my hands on one of these beauts 🙏
1:45 why do you have a highground keyboard on your desk?
Why ? Whats wrong with that?
@ he has a custom wooting keyboard
How do you make the floating product shots? Are those actually Blender renders? 0:22 for reference
obvious renders, look at the PCB.
@@-eMpTy- okay
not that obvious i think. but yes, definitely renders. :)
did bro just got anamorphic lens
This is super cool. But also, that could totally be an injection molded part dude
Side buttons would affect aim on that weight but side buttons are usually used when you don't need precise aim, e.g. melee at the end of a kill, crouching to rotate pre fight. Even non-mouse switch buttons would work since they're not that frequently used, just those square half size switches with a little paddle
Helium gaining mouse 9:26
If the shell is 3d printed, is there an option for a mirror, lefty version?
Props to Final Mouse for this. Super Based.
Honestly, I’m just glad that this is something that can be made by hobbyists if they go through the printing process (obv you can’t get the dope PCB but at this point I’m so done waiting for my M3K that I’d much prefer using something like this)
what song is that at 2:20? it sounds beautiful
Fancy seeing you here 😂

I already missed the pre order and i checked 13 MINUTES after launch 😓
I don't think there was a preorder option?
@ it says sold out on the link for the product page, with the price $150. I assumed i missed it but "sold out" seems weird if it's a live product page that's not enabled.

I think he just listed it with stock set to zero in the backend. Wouldn't make sense for him to not mention that it's available for pre-order in the video.
@ dang it, I definitely won't be any faster when it's really time 😅
Babe wake up, batman is making another banger mice
I love your minimalistic aesthetic when it comes to computers matches my mojoo
this makes custom mice that people can 3d print their own, opens the door to so much possibility so cool!
Looks amazing! Sadly it is probably impossible to get for people in the EU. Even if EU shipping is available, it will most likely cost more than the mouse itself (shipping + import tax). Such a bummer, as always.
Love the video and product though :)
Can a wireless product imported into the EU without official certifications?
How is this already sold out? T-T
This one isn't released yet, must be the older version you're looking at
Nevermind, I'm stupid.
@@majkwazowski6063no you’re not lol. It says “coming end of q1 2025.”
Thoughts on $150 price tag? Personally I think its like $40 more than it needs to.... What do y'all think
this is one of those channels that is mind-blowingly good
I love that finalmouse will be making this a standalone pcb through this. I think this could really be a game changer if people embrace the idea.
ah shit, here we go again
150 bucks is insane.
ikr should be 50usd or less
Insane how? Regular, mass produced mice like g pro superlight, razer viper pro has an MSRP of $160. The price is great for a bespoke, small-batch product designed for purists.
3D printed, low volume, make sense.
crazy cheap yeah, same price as other mass produced lightweight mice for a low volume custom product. idk how he's gonna make a profit on this, i would've expected to pay $450+
THIS NEEDS TO BE AN ACTUAL PRODUCT for every customer to buy
Given how light this mouse already is, I think it would be really neat to try printing a one off metal version. Normal mice can’t be metal but I’m sure this one could and would still be realistically viable. It would go against making a super light gaming mouse, but I’m sure it’d make for a really sweet looking piece of tech - especially if you post process it nicely. Super impressive stuff!
Man, stuff like this brings a tear to my eye.
i LOVE the zerömouse v.35 !
It was not cheap too complete with high polling
but man my hand loves you bro ❤
One of the first mice ive never had any trouble with grip hand fatigue or aiming hitches with !
I dont feel my grip weaken, because i aint use it. Now the preassure is so evenly laid down from my shoulder its scary ,
I remember death gripping my old mouse so much just to "get around" the shape that was holding me back in thight spots
And with v.35 modkit i have no trouble
I main it .
AND AM SATISFIED BEYOND MY IMAGINATION headshot whatever i can click it fast as heck
its also worth pointing out injection molding has incredibly high up front costs, and only makes financial sense if you're doing large batches
1:22 I knew I wasn't tripping when I saw the finalmouse battery on optimums mouse
Great concept, now all its missing is those lovely side buttons and you have it all
Insane! I tried to get a hold of V35 unsuccessfully but man is this another level.
I use currently finalmouse ULX which has been just superb, cannot wait for a merger of zeromouse with finalmouse hardware!
Now i just hope i manage to grab one, fingers crossed!
damn. from garage project to being sponsored by finalmouse. you are KILLING it!
You have created next level technology all on your own😮 you make these companies look silly, seeing that no one has gone down this path (that i know of at least). Great videos and great work man, cant wait to see the future brings 🙂❤️
Please make a full retail product or at least like a 10,000 units batch so more people can get their hands on this
Just missing some side buttons for the ultimate quake mouse, would be sick to have a mouse with doubled side buttons, like a 3-4 button superlight cluster instead of typical two button. Very niche and probably hard to implement, but would be cool :D
I hope this work and revolutionizes mouse's in general. Good for you man, Youre gonna be richhhh!
I already have a m3k and in love with that shell. It’s so sturdy. Would love to place that pcb in the m3k. Absolutely end game
This makes me so happy. Way to make your product a reality @Optimumtech
My hand cramped just watching this video
as a long term m2k user, i recommend trying the keychron m4. i thought shape didn't matter for fingertip but i was way off
I hope you make another version of this mouse with side buttons
