2CV. Adjusting valves and fixing a water leak

  • My 2cv has a very common water leak where waters goes through the wiper spindle. This is fixed in this video.
    Also the cylinder head is being retorque and the valve clearence is checked and adjusted.
    The engine was rebuild with the 652ccm kit from Burton and after 1500km I decided it was time to do those things.

    I recently acquired a 2CV and have been researching all over the place to figure out proper tune up tips etc. You are the first one I have come across who actually does a proper valve adjustment as per the Citroen manual. Depress one valve and set the corresponding one on the opposite cylinder. For some reason most people depress one valve and adjust the one next to it on the same cylinder which beats me as to why.... Very nice and straight forward video. Great job!! Just subscribed!

    Hello, when you did the big bore conversion did you re-jet the carburetor and if so what size jets did you use , just come across you and have subscribed , you have a good channel on the go here and hello from ,England.

      Yes I did re-jet it... I think it was 125 on the primary and 100 on the secondary..
      Burton sells them. :)
