This was such a great finale. I did not expect to cry especially not a lip quivering type of cry. lol I'm thrilled there's going to be a season 3!!!

Welcome to the pain and heartbreak and frustration of the GO finale. I experienced the 5 stages of grief and I'm currently stuck in anger. I was just diagnosed with Covid this past Friday and I'm miserable. I hope you are feeling much better. I can't smell or taste anything either lol. We're getting a season 3 so hopefully our favorite couple will reunite! Looking forward to watching more shows with you!
First, I want to say I hope you feel better soon and I hope your recovery is quicker than mine. Please rest as much as possible and take care of yourself. Not having your sense of taste or smell is the weirdest experience. I guess I didn't realize how much we actually use those senses to enjoy simple things in our daily lives.
Thank goodness we're getting a season 3. I hope they can come together again for some much needed "us time" which I think was the cutest thing Crowley could have said. 😊

There is one really big thing missing from Aziraphale telling Crowley what The Metatron said: his adorable body wiggles. Part of the character's baseline is stupidly cute body wiggles when he's excited and they are completely missing. Couple that with his nervous glances to the windows and his constant stammering...something smells rotten in the state of Denmark.
Yes, his enthusiasm is infectious. I'm always so smiley because he's always so adorably excited (body wiggles). 😊

It was a rough couple of months with my fingers crossed for the third series, hoping the writers and actors strikes would end. But I had hope. Apparently the Soho set was kept up at some not inconsiderable cost because BBC Studios had hope, and that gave me hope too.
But yeah that broke me.
Your cat's adorable by the way. They have a lot to say for themselves but they are beautiful.
Gosh, I just know I would have been so upset hoping for some news during that time. I am so glad you now know we are getting more of their story. I just hope it's sooner rather than later.
Yes, cats are so beautiful. Mine is getting older and requires a lot more attention these days. As soon as he hears me filming, he just has to run into the room to make sure he's not forgotten. He is a sweetheart though. Thanks for the compliment and watching! 💞
@@reactionrowe Apparently the scripts are on their way, Tennant and Sheen are on contract, director attached, but filming's a bit of a way off. So it'll sadly be a couple of years away I think. But we'll finally get the full story! Neil said he would make it happen even if Amazon didn't sign up, it'd be a book or comic instead. But Who knows? We might get both!

This episode had me bawling and staring at a wall for ten minutes. I waited so long for them to get together only for this to happen. Regardless, Neil is a genious and I am so excited for season 3.
If you notced, Aziraphale asked Nina for battery powered candles That's beacuse of the fire that was started by the candle in season 1, since then, he hasn't kept any candles in the bookshop
Gabriel was okay with falling from because it meant he could be with Beelzebub (AND BTW I WAS HOPING THEY'D GET TOGETHER SINCE I FIRST WATCHED IT. I just... never thought it would actually happen??)
Also, apparently the line "I think I might have just started a war" was hard for Michael to get through because he had a suspicion (he was righ) that it would be in the trailer, and that made him nervous (sourced from an interview, not sure which one)
When Beel and Gabriel held hands for the first time on screen, Aziraphale grabbed Crowley's shoulder because obviously he was realizing that it WAS possible for a romantic relationship to happen between a demon and an angel, and that look still kills me to this day
Aziraphale never knew that Crowley was living out of his car, that's why Crowley tried to sleep as far from the bookshop as he could
Also in the Brazilian Portuguese translation of the show, they translated "Crowley, nothing lasts forever" to "oh Crowley, dear, nothing lasts forever" and that still haunts me (Azi calls Crowley "my dear," and "my dear boy," in the book).
My personal oppinion is that he said "I forgive you" for using the feelings he and Crowley had for each other but could never act upon as a way to get him to stay. Aziraphale just wants to save the world and see Crowley smile again like when he was an angel, and not only did Crowley say no to that, but he also FINALLY confessed after six thousand years in a way that was just not what Azi wanted. Meanwhile Crowley thought Azi was saying that he could not love Crowley unless he was an angel, so he desperatley tried to do the one thing he thought might keep zira with him.
Let's hope that in season 3, the Nightingales will sing again.
I was so quiet after watching this episode and I cried every time I rewatched my video during editing. I just did not expect this to be their end for the season and when i thought about everyone who had watched the show before knowing there was more to come for these two, I just felt bad all over again. The acting was so well done by both. I could feel the desperation in Crowley's kiss and as well as Aziraphale's "I need you". I just know it would have broken me if Aziraphale added "dear" or "my dear" in any repsonses to Crowley.

@reactionrowe it's been an absolute pleasure! I remember I was back home in Spain when I finished this episode, and my grandmother saw me staring at a wall with tears running down my face. She asked me what was wrong, I told her. We ended up watching the show together and she said "well, that was sad, and they're being stupid but not worth crying over" which was just 💀. Waiting for the SAG aftra strike to end so we could get news was HARSH but worth it in the end. Neil keeps saying season 3 will not be quiet gentle or romantic, which is both scary and exciting
I tend to feel that Maggie and Nina should have taken their own advice and let Crowley and Aziraphale figure things out on their own.
I didn't even think this because I was so consumed in the next few scenes but you have a point. They should have left things alone.
Crowley actually did not say no to Hell. He didn't say yes, but he in no way made it clear that it was no.

@@reactionrowe I'm sure in his head it was no, but, at the time, he wasn't going to tell Beelzebub that. He was halfway through assuring them he'd let them know if he found out anything when he was unceremoniously dumped back in his car. I don't think Aziraphale exactly told the Metatron yes in the coffee shop meeting, but maybe we'll find out for sure in season three.

Why is Crowley so okay with Aziraphale going to talk with the Metatron when Aziraphale is hesitating? I'm always so puzzled by this.
While watching, I thought Crowley didn't say anything against it because he recognized them even though Aziraphale didn't immediately know who they were. You are right though Crowley is usually on high alert and suspicious with anything involving Aziraphale.

Once he heard about the Second Coming, there is no way Aziraphale could not go. If there is no Earth and the universe itself shuts down (which seems to be the case according to "Before the Beginning"), then all Crowley and Aziraphale could do is die together. (And who knows whether they would be dragged into an afterlife of suffering after that?)
