He is the one who is trying to get Aziraphale to stick to a plan, warning him that "People will get hurt, angel", he evacuates the humans from the premises, he actually finds the courage to face his feelings and talk about them to Aziraphale. He still has a long road ahead, but he has changed a lot, and it's really clear in compilations such as this, when you put together scenes from the first and second seasons
