In this video, I go over how WB absolutely body slammed Rocksteady for Suicide Squad being an absolute failure and basically losing them money. DC seems to be in a very bad spot when it comes to gaming right now and the future is concerning. I don't want to go back to Batman, but if it means getting DC back to the glory days; then so be it. As much as I want a Superman game, that may have to wait until DC can gain the trust of the gamers again.

The live service aspect and the Sweet baby bull crap infected this game and actually DROVE the founders away from the company!🫤

Honestly I am not surprised about this news because let’s face facts this entire game was doomed from the start.
You're correct. It was recently disclosed that Rocksteady was the one behind the decision to turn SSKTJL into a live-service game. However, WB still deserves more of the blame. They remain dedicated to approving additional live-service games moving forward. They have also stated their willingness to approve a Superman movie, but not a Superman video game.
No there was no rocksteady superman game.
I know in fact is was wb who want a black deadshoot is meant tie to the Will Smith deadshot.

Then they are really going to get blasted and it's deserved and Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker can't be trusted either.
I wouldn’t mind the new WW game creating a whole new DC game universe outside of the Arkham verse so we can get new Batman games and even a Superman game

The people we trusted were the ones behind it all along. 😭 The creation of Arkham Knight was led by Sefton Hill. And now, he led with the creation of SS and all of the controversial aspects of it. He's the one to blame? Maybe not the main one but one of the key people to blame? 😭 Man, and to think it was all WB's fault.
I agree! And I would say that he's definitely one of the key people to blame because he not only came up with the idea of Suicide Squad but also pushed for the live service. What doesn't make sense to me was that he and Jaime were in charge of the game, but left to leave the backlash for the rest of the team. Whether that's the case or not, its just crazy how they tanked their own universe 😭😔
I would personally love if one day we get AAA Justice League Dark game. Playing with Zatanna, Constantine, Deadman, Ragman ECT. But goddamn this will never come to be reality, because their popularity don't come close as other DC heroes. I'm actually cures how many other people are like me and like the idea for Justice League Dark game.
Its really sad when we can imagine or think of so many game possibilities for DC but at this point it just becomes a fever dream. And I would definitely love a Justice League Dark game especially being able to have the chance to see Extrigan as well as Doctor Fate. We can only dream because WB only likes Batman lmao
Here’s a thought maybe wb games should stop focusing on live service bullshit and say I don’t know make a justice league game that a lot of people wanted myself included but that’s just my opinion.

That won't be happening anytime soon. WB is focused on creating live-service games, including one that allows us to live and work within.

I more mixed on this game to other. One positive is i don’t hate this game take places in Metropolis. For records there were no superman game. While there's no denying that they made their name by making Single-Player games as opposed to the co-op live-service shooter that this is, there is no credible report that they ever worked on a Superman game, the one tweet that suggested it later recanted it as a mix-up of studios
To quteo tv tropes. Metropolis being the setting is likely out of coincidence in that Rocksteady used up Gotham City in their previous games, and wanting a new location, Metropolis is the next most well-known DC setting. And to be fair to rockstady. Gotham is being play out in open world games. And to be honest. I want to see a other dc comic city look like. So i don’t mind is take places in Metropolis. However the main problem there lack of content like. Ok i know Alien invasion. But Why can we have more Metropolis character then just superman, Lois lane and toyman.
Why can we have Bruno "Ugly" Mannheim he the one who should make the weapons. Then penguin, one he is Metropolis native so it would make more sense him being there then penguin. 2 he work intergang. Who make super weapon. I don’t Why it would make more sense to me. Him is one who work with not penguin. Who make the Guns, i just more opinion
And i don’t want to blame selfton. I like sefton but he does get some blame on this game too. To paraphrase a Guy i don’t like.
The main concept of kill justice league is his. The whole suicide squad kill the justice league as concept it all his fault. And around 2022 when he left somebody in rockstady just took over.
And what i heard is was wb fault to make deadshoot black.
They should make a Superman or Flash game. But I'm ngl I'm kinda worried about all future WB games since apparently WB is going all in on live service
Trust me I highly agree, and it is pretty worrying at how WB just won't get the hint that people just don't want Live service anymore. But its up to them if they want to continue on tanking their company.

I'm playing the game, just finished the Batman mission and I don't hate it, the live service and online only thing is annoying, I tried playing Gotham Knights and only played the first 30 minutes, complete trash. I enjoy this more, and the shoot em up style gets old pretty quick

It's easy to make a Superman game because we're not expecting to be able to destroy entire buildings.
In a boss fight may be part of a building or two. People know there's limitations they're not playing it because they have no limitations, they're playing it because it's a game where they have to work around the challenge but apparently game developers no longer understand this and just give us guns and loot boxes. And that makes them lose money unless you're hell diver's because hell divers doesn't force it upon you apparently, I've never played hell divers, but I've heard good reviews
I would also like a Superman game, but WB is not willing to give us one.
Here's my question. If superman got a game, how is it going to work out? Because then he'll have some enemies to fight but who? Would they add collateral damage to structures? Would superman just fly around metropolis? For green arrow is understandable but he isn't very popular with the justice league. Now for flash, how are they going to do a open world speedster game when he can run fast?

Not to mention, you have to have the imagination to create a solid world for these characters. As long as they aren't the comic counter parts, its can work. If most of your scenarios or questions just going to be "how is this going to work" or "how this" and "how that", then you need to look at the comics and see what works and what doesn't. Most people don't read much DC characters outside of Batman which can be frustrating when talking about a game.

Is was something to there want catch in on Will Smith deadshot. Because at time Will Smith was on contract to do more suicide squad movies, but when that failed. Let’s say this was before James gunn. And so on. Is was more like, wb want a catch in but this was before ja,es gunn suicide squad and Well at the time rockstady did not know. look WB have made me dislike batman because i am a DC fan meaning i like their characters but i feel like like for every 10 batman projects we get one for someone else with half of the budget, like we cant have supeman and lois because it would confuse genaral audiences to have two live action supermans but we are ok with the batman having two cinematic versions at the same time, in games we alredy got arkham we dont need more batman games, like i just hate the fact that they forget other characters exist and always give everything to batman

Superman fans at this point wouldn't care, they just want a game in general. They are definitely going to show up what do u mean lmao especially after the popularity that the character is getting now. Spider-Man 2 still sold 5 million copies in under 2 weeks of its release and still got raving reviews amongst the fans. Its not a perfect game, and I agree that its under cooked; but you can't deny that its still a pretty good game and did way better than whatever the hell DC released with 2 games in a span of 2 years. Fans will show up for DC when they start releasing some good single player games.

Speaking for myself I'd show up for a flash game, green lantern game, superman game even the question (the superhero) if it's a high quality single-player game on the caliber of the arkham series. Hell I'll give me green arrow it doesn't even have to be an open world.
As for Spiderman 2 it's fine for me anyway but it just didn't hit like the first and miles morales and it's success is coming from the first game's I was expecting the Asylum to city to knight level jump but it's mechanics took a dive Ai in stealth got worse, symbiote suit didn't live up to the hype, less crimes, story is definitely worse with plots being copied from past games with worse execution (symbiote invasion), symbiote suit Peter chasing evolving lizard with Kraven hunting him as well like in the spiderman 3 movie tie-in, love interest becomes a symbiote it even more buggy. The first game hit different this one seem like it was checking boxes but hey Spiderman sells and it's releasing in a world where Gotham knights, Avengers and Suicide squad exist so it'll do.
I don't want to be that guy but after the back-to-back disappointments they earned the skeptism.
It’s not all about the live service though. The story and gameplay was straight trash. I was going to buy the game myself, then I saw story and how the game mechanics I was thrown off immediately. Live service was a stupid ass choice for a game like this.
I agree and kind of disagree. In this point in time, if a developer were to have a game coming out and they mentioned any sign of "Live service"; they are most likely going to tank because not many people want that anymore. I do agree that the story and gameplay was trash, but Rocksteady mentioning live service from the start already had people rolling their eyes. Live service is kind of ruining the gaming industry, especially with EA wanting to put ads in their games
For wonderwoman to break the mold fans have to show up.
Until I see the marvel games in action they nothing more than a stupid prospect and sweet nothings.
With Wonder Woman I have faith mostly because its a single player and its taking inspiration from the shadow of Mordor games. And she's the closest thing to Superman.
Marvel however, the thing is I appreciate them more because they are actively dipping their hands in all kinds of gaming formats. From Single player, to Multiplayer and even turn based combat. I get that your probably done with Superhero games but im still curious to see what happens honestly. But I can't lie, I have more faith in Marvel than DC and im sure most people can say that too

Spiderman 2 left me feeling empty and the game was undercooked upon closer inspection and comparing it to the first and miles morales (hot take I know) and videos were the creative director goes on about not giving a shit about people not liking mechanics to prove some stupid point at the detriment of better mechanics (destructable environments and venom bossfight similar to the CGI trailer).
Wolverine leaks don't fill me with confidence in the gameplay side of things (hopefully some of the stuff I saw will not be in the final product) because they defeat the point of him being a weapon.
I just don't hold my breath about thses things being good.
