Gotta give props to how creatively they actually kill the Justice League. Batman was shot with a gun. Flash was taken out with a gun. Green Lantern died from a bullet wound from a gun anddd Superman was shot with a gun.
They made Batman an example of what they want to do to rich white billionaires like Elon Musk and Trump, ordered by woke Amanda Waller and her woke BLM Antifa AI.
This really shows how oversaturated the Suicide Squad is as a concept since what used to be a black ops team that covers small scale, shady stuff that most superheroes would overlook to basically turning them into crazy anti-heroes that have to save the world from galactic threats.
WB just REALLY wants to push Suicide Squad as the next big hit for some reason. And they've been doing this for way longer than you think. Remember the old CW Arrow show? It had an episode that revolved around the Squad. WB should have just settled for the James Gunn film, which is the most positive reception they got from the concept, and moved on.
@@leithaziz2716the only squad thing I'm excited for is the suicide squad anime that's coming out since its written by the guy who made re:zero I think
Well since on release date many did not receive the code, I’m surprised WB offered code without NDA or some other “requirements” for the review. One thing seems to be probable this channel will not get more codes from WB.
What’s also crazy is how they tried to give Harley more of the anti-hero who was roped into all her crimes because of Joker and her previously unresolved issues like the tv show. For one thing, you can’t do that without her taking accountability for her actions and actually having remorse because she wasn’t exactly brainwashed or coerced, she fell in love with a maniac and helped him in all his crimes. She hasn’t been reformed in Arkham, she was just brought out by Waller to be controlled. This Harley is especially guilty of all her own actions. She canonically helped Joker kill and mutilate children, she was distraught when Joker died, and continued to commit crimes and obsess over his memory long after he was gone. Whatever dissociation is present (via playing her in Arkham DLC and staying in her form of detective vision long enough for “Harleen” to talk to her), it’s not an excuse for everything she did. But no, she just fell in with the wrong guy, she cringes at her outfit in Arkham Asylum (that she as a character canonically picked out herself), she’s so unbothered by Joker now that when a variant of him comes in from another universe, she doesn’t bat an eye about it.
Because Harley is a feminist now.. it was ok in any other women like Diana etc but Harley .... She thinks her old outfit too 'sexualizing' but have no problem with grabbing Deadshot's ass... Political correctness you have failed this city.
It's sorta the same thing with injustice 2 Scarecrow. I think the issue with that fight is that batman doesn't kill them when the squad was busy shooting at the wall. Instead, he wanders into the barrage..
I'm shocked that he didn't mention the fact that this game is literally "Sensory overload: the game". The nonstop numbers, explosions, bullets, neon colors, notifications, progress bars, health bars, and loud sound effects makes this game look like the visual representation of what it's like to have a panic attack. Remember back when all you had on the screen was your health bar, your skills, and MAYBE a combo counter? Good non-headache inducing times.
😂 ' this game just looks like the visual representation of what it's like to have a panic attack' I think that just right there, is all people will need to know about what it's like playing this game.
I'm gonna play the devil's advocate and say the HUD is entirely customizable before anyone else comes here to say it. With that out of the way, the default settings are how the developers intended most people to play it. All those HUD elements even existing is a sign of feature bloat.
Who would've ever guessed that a game that switches studios, goes through two movie tie-in cycles during development, misreads industry trends, and caused the studio leads to leave before launch would fail?
I love how this game basically makes it that Batman decided to gaslight his entire family and friends making them think he's dead. Only to show up later with a brand new group of cooler friends.
That's what I was thinking too. I saw a video trying to defend the topic of batman returning by say how depressed he really was. But they forgot to mention if batman just really forgot about the batfamily. And plus all of it happened off screen
@@BDGonTbf Arkham Knight's story was really bad. It's not like the Arkham "saga" was some great cohesive narrative and then Suicide Squad came along and ruined things, because Knight already butchered everything that City so perfectly set up.
@@HOTD108_Knight story is not that bad. At least in my opinion. There are definitely problems but I think there is a lot of good in there. Even the point he makes about him being a big inconsistent dummy makes sense in a story where he is losing his mind and thinks one of his allies is dead so he want to keep all of the others from dying
Yeah, that was always the part that made me go "So, you know that comic with an anyone can die premise? What if...not...? Kill the Justice League!" Suicide Squad: The Game just...isn't an action game, realistically. It's X-Com or classic Fire Emblem.
@@Quent-eb2eo They said "a Wonder Woman game where she saves the Justice League." This is not a Wonder Woman game. She also doesn't save the Justice League. She fails, and also dies.
I find it hilarious that Lego Batman 3 had a much better plot about Brainiac mind controlling the Justice League. It actually makes me think this game's premise would have been handled so much better in lego
The worst parts about The Joker dropping in this game is: 1. Marvwl's Avengers let you play with the new characters FROM THE GET GO! 2. You can buy him in the shop for like $10 of in-game currency but you might lose access to him and have to grind for him anyway, like one of my friends did.
I just don’t get their obsession with the suicide squad man. How does it make sense that we have a game about them before a game about the justice league? Who wants to play as captain boomerang rather than superman? Who at WB is so obsessed with these guys??
WB is about to lose Superman and Batman to the public domain, so they need to make Harley Quinn the mascot and protagonist of the company instead, and it's not working.
@@autobotstarscream765there’s a catch with that, it’s only for the early first appearance of Superman and Batman, not modern day Superman and Batman.. so purple gloves Batman and only leaping tall buildings in a single bound versions.. WB still will own the rights to the Superman that’s published by DC Comics. Kinda like the deal with Steam boat Mikey Mouse.
@michaelwayman9600 And yet WB and Disbey are already clearly panicking, Disney blowtorched American copyright law over it and ultimately pushed Stitch as a new mascot that they could control for the foreseeable future.
@@autobotstarscream765 yes and no! Vastly for different reasons. DC/Warner like Disney will still have the rights to the modern “CANON” versions, the modern Batman with Robin and the extended bat family, they will still have modern Superman who’s a lot stronger and powerful with extended super family with Jon Kent Supergirl and Connor Kent so copyright still protects them in those aspects, it’s only the original earlier concept versions that lose the protection of copyright that will enable studios outside of WB and Disney to put forward 100 different versions of the respective characters, yet those studios won’t be able to do a Superman that flies, can only leap 1/8th of a mile or the extended bat family and such. There’s a catch to public domain, like Dracula is still a product of universal and Bram stoker yet studios put out so many different versions of the first version. So yeah Disney and Warner will still be in control for the foreseeable future, they just won’t be able to control what happens to the very first appearance versions under different studios.
This game kind of represents the growing problem I've had with the Suicide Squad and Harley Quinn the past few years as the push for the two in every DC platform, movies, games, tv shows, and comics even when they really shouldn't be involved. They've become the new Dwayne Johnson wants to take over the DCEU, they just get put into bigger and bigger scenarios but because of how big the threats are the writing just becomes dumber and dumber as why they just don't get squashed.
@@MrREAPERsz I’m going to be dead honest I totally forgot about that movie until you mentioned it, I think the issue is that dc is trying to turn harley into their Deadpool
Could have just hired the writers for Origins ngl. Yeah, Joker was starting to get milked, but that's probably my favorite story among all the Arkham games. Bruce got to have a personal arc for once, we saw more of Alfred, etc.
@BlueB33dle Coming from the man himself, the reason Dini didn't come back to write the story for Knight was because Rocksteady didn't ask him to. After City, he was waiting for a call from them to write the story, but when they did call they told him they would be using their in-house writers instead of freelance ones like him to handle all writing duties and that he should accept other opportunities in the meantime. But yeah, they really should have brought him back considering he wrote the first two games and should have wrapped up the trilogy.
Arkham Knight should’ve been subtitled: ‘fuck Paul Dini!’ They went out of their way to shit all over the many subplots he’d planted in the first two games.
“The people with money aren’t actually good at business” Truer words have never been said. It always ASTOUNDS me when companies do stupid stupid shit that doesn’t even make sense through the lens of greedy capitalism
I mean it's because CEOs are viewed as the only ones who know how to make money just because they have connections... Like who else can CEO fail ever upward? So it's more Corrupt then caplist.
Is anyone else confused why Rocksteady didn't make a Justice League game instead? A JL stopping a Braniac invasion game would have been better and make more sense on almost every level.
Honestly part of me thinks that the rocksteady team just doesn't know how to create good gameplay for characters with superpowers. They were fine with batman because he has gadgets that can easily be adapted to video game mechanics and is still "a guy In a costume" but even look at how they struggled with creating some of the arkham boss fights. I think the idea of having to come up with unique gameplay for superman and wonder woman and the flash in one single game just overwhelmed them and was too labor intensive. Its one thing to imagune a justice league game and another to make it a reality with modern day software limitstions. That's why all the suicide squads powers in this game are "shoot things."
Hell a justice league game where they have to fight multiversal variants of iconic dc villains them forming a multiverse legion of doom would also be fun especially if there variants from actual dc elseworlds like Brainaic from superman red son,Lex luthor from the superman monster elseworld etc etc
@@kendi5391 eh i think its best if the avoid nostalgia baity or stuff relating to known shows/movies versions of the Dc characters Like smallvile lex or dcau brainiac since I think it would be more fun to shows off elseworld versions of heroes and villains alike we haven't seen in a long time
Ok I have a pitch. Instead of having us purchase skins, the micro transactions should allow us to use characters like Peacemaker and Bloodsport instead of Deadshot with alternate voice lines. That's because the suicide squad is supposed to have 300 disposable criminals and not a group of 4 ppl.
I mean, that's why they're called that. They get sent on suicide missions. Like, either way it's a win, you know? If they accomplish the mission, awesome. If they fail, then a bunch of supervillains are dead. Also awesome.
The fact that none of the "Suicide Squad" member actually dies in the game is baffling even moreso than killing the Justice League but much is said about them already amd how shit that is.
20:00 The sad thing is that Tara Strong actually nailed what kind of Harley voice she should use in the first Injustice game, but then came Arkham Knight and it was reduced into what it has been since that game.
I liked her different voices for both game series: Injustice featured a Harley that had more "grown up" a bit from Joker (and the first Injustice game where she first called herself Harleen carried the right bit of enunciation and depth in pitch), while the Arkham Knight voice was for a Harley that regressed without Joker around so it sounded more childish and loud. But her voice in Suicide Squad? I am not quite sure what she or the voice director was going for. She'd played a slightly wacky but independent Harley before with Injustice 2, a good balance that was missed here. Either her IJ 1 or 2 voice should have been just fine.
yessss the arkham knight voice pisses me off and always has. who decided it needed to be ridiculously high pitched? she sounds like she's straining her voice every line read and it sucks. Can't understand why its the one that keeps on being used
Yeah I feel like everyone is dogging on this game by saying it’s a disrespect to Kevin Conroy, but I definitely believe he had the time of his life doing this
When I first saw trailers for this, I thought playing as King Shark would be like a melee style of gameplay, violently ripping enemies appart with your bear hands, biting heads off, or doing any kind of Mortal Kombat style finishser on anyone. That sounded like it would've been fun, and like the James Gunn Suicide Squad movie. Instead, we get this....
Doesn't change all the time wasted making it. People will be even more pissed off because of all the years wasted on this crap when they could've made a game based on any other character or an original IP like they intended.
Those soulless live-service costume recolors honestly feel disrespectful. Like they really need you to *know* how little they care. Like, you sank the GDP of a small country into this, what do you mean you can't afford to put more effort into the main thing you're selling than just using the color picker/fill tool?
Its honestly baffling why DC keeps wanting to push The Suicide Squad as one of their primary IPs/teams, when most if not all of the projects involving them currently have flopped in one way or another. The first movie was met with negativity from both critics and fans, the second movie was received well but due to covid financially kind of bombed, and this game is barely alive and had been met with mediocre to negative reviews almost unanimously
It’s because of Harley Quinn mainly, this is the team she’s known for and is basically a flagship character for dc nowawadays Not exactly a Batman level character but closes enough in popularity
You saying all the characters feel like a “one size fits all” really highlights my biggest gripe of mine with the game: they chose the most basic squad imaginable and made the most boring versions as possible. I remember people brainstorming fun villains to play as before the game came out, and there were so many cool ideas. Polka dot man making platforms for others to walk on, poison ivy could plant monsters around the map and grow them to be stronger throughout the level, kite man could fly constantly and carry others around, etc. instead they made everyone a shooter. At least make them all characters you use guns like deadshot, deathstroke, bloodsport, peacemaker, etc. I was hoping a threat as big as brainiac there would be an army of playable characters, with dozens of different classes for combat. But no let’s make king shark use a gun…
I think they could've done something similar to what happened in borderlands2 where certain types of guns work great on specific characters and their skill tree affects how you play them
I am SO GLAD that someone else feels the same as I do about King Shark in this game. I kept hearing everyone saying that he's the best part and whatnot, but you, sir, put it word for word what I've been thinking. He's just Drax that somehow is both dumb and oblivious but also knows things and can figure things out that the other squad members can't for some reason.
I think my biggest takeaway from this game I'll never play is how much WB has tarnished the Suicide Squad's reputation. They are such a fun team at their core but aside from the original run really only the Gunn movie and JLU episode get them. The concept at it's most core form was a team for all the characters DC didn't care about, in the original run the team was made up of hereos and villains who editorial practically forgot about and that is such a fun concept whatever situation you put them in but they are hampered now by being a vehicle for Harley and C or D list Batman rogues. If we're lucky in most modern versions we get 2/3 from Peacemaker, Captain Boomerang or King Shark in the line up. It's not just about how when you're team is made up of the Polka dot man's or Doctor Light's of the world that they actually have a chance at dying but also these characters are allowed to grow, develop and even just have interiority. Harley, Clayface, Deathstroke, Deadshot etc are never allowed to be anything bar the most superficial versions of their characters because they are too popular to ever change for any prolonged period. The only times they do change is to be closer to their movie or cartoon versions, Deadshot used to be a really interesting character with a martyr complex, he stayed on the squad because he wanted to die for something yet he never did, you can't get that now though because as soon as a character is big enough to be played by Will Smith they're gonna get sanitized to oblivion. Like look through the comments right now, how many of them are people saying the Suicide Squad is boring and tired as a team. Isn't that insane? The original run had characters like Doctor Light, Bronze Tiger, the Atom, Lashina Slipknot, and real person Grant Morrison on it. It was such an insane rotating cast of characters with completely different moralities, powerlevels, skill sets, relevancy and yet one of the big complaints of most modern lineups is how boring, samey and useless each team is, that shouldn't be possible given the source material. Like even if we HAD to do the idea of the team needing to neutralise superheroes it's insane how much of a shot in the arm making them F-listers is to the concept. Because imagine this games concep but your team is made up of the likes of Polka dot man, Nightshade, Bronze tiger, and Ratcatcher. Instantly this is more engaging. From a comedy level it's way funnier if you play into the angle of them being villains and antiheroes so minor the League barely remembers they exist. Interms of character interplay they're all so different in morality to the point one of the more heroic members, Bronze Tiger, is often someone who might regret and try to avoid killing but is willing to do so for the greater good or even revenge meanwhile one of the out and out Villains Polka dot man is practically a Doofenshmirtz tier character who just makes needlessly elaborate themed gadgets to do petty crime. He's practically an Adam West foe, so imagine putting him into a situation where he's forced to kill someone, there's inherently something both darkly comedic about that but also kinda heartbreaking that could be utilised for some genuine engaging character drama. But also, in perhaps the dumbest point, this tier of character actually COULD be a threat to a Justice League. Like you never think about it but take polka dot man again. Literally, on the cover of his first ever appearance, the first thing you ever see him do is throw a miniature red sun. These goofy villains like him, or Ratcatcher or even animal/vegetable/mineral man usually have an actually insane capacity for destruction but they never really realise it because they are kinda stupid. Polka dot man could sell his tech to the military for millions but he chooses to rob banls because he wants to make batman look stupid. His dots can make him fly, open portals, turn into a giant buzzsaw and more, he could very easily defeat of Batman if he was just a better strategist. So if you had a story where people like Waller and Flag we're feeding your team strategies to utse their powers in creative ways (a good way to incorporate tutorials btw) as they grow in confidence and competence to the point where they can properly utilise their unintentionally kinda busted silver age powers you'd have a actual plausible way to beat the heroes and with a more diverse morality spectrum you could have the characters like Nightshade, Bronze tiger or (depending on the version) in his own way Polka dot man actually grapple with and mourn the heroes passing to actually give some gravitas to these moments. I know I've gone on way to long here but I'm just so disappointed by such a fun concept continually being squandered for the simple reason that interesting concepts sell less than Harley Quinn funko pops or whatever
Bro wrote an essay but what you mean it’s only been adapted good twice both adaptations you named are perfect but assault on arkham and SS hell to pay are also good adaptations of the SS
@@ineedit1772 eh, I don't hate them. I think the former gets a lot weaker when it's hijacked for a generic Joker/Batman story. The latter is probably stronger over all though does suffer from the style homogenisation of the post Flashpoint animated films. I think Hell to Pay does more interesting things with it's characters while Assault on Arkham is kinda flat. Boomer, Frost and Shark are fun though ultimately Harley and Deadshot are the only ones who really matter to the film or are in the third act at all and both are kinda at their most passable. They're not actively obnoxious or borderline racist like the pair seems to be respectively in the Looter shooter but they are one note. The Action is fun in both though and I'm sure the less developed cast probably matters less in Assault with the context of the Arkham games. Just my opinion though, for these reasons and more I don't regret watching them but I wouldn't go out of my way for a second viewing.. Big props to Assault for being one of 2 suicide squad things to come up with a plausible reason for Harley to be on the team
@@rennythespaceguy7285 yeah assault on arkham did get off the rails when it became over shadowed by joker showing up but the plot was something that makes sense for them being a sort of special ops group, the james gunn movie is good don’t get me wrong but how the hell is there an alien invasion going on without the justice league knowing and in the first movie how is a city being taken over by demons without any superheroes knowing
@@ineedit1772 I feel with the Gunn movie it works as it's localised only to one city far away from the League and we're only shown News reports happening after it's already over. By the time the news had gotten to the Justice League it was probably already over. We see it in much real time and it's less than 30 minutes. Between Starro marching on the town and dying Superman is in the ICU during the film and this version of the Flash is such a Dumbass that they'd be of little help. Everyone else would need to travel by Batplane or whatever which would probably take longer then the events took. There's no defence for the 2016 film though, Wonder Woman, Batman and Flash would of been just in another state and the Enchantress is said to have been at large for three days by the third act and she had a massive sky beam telling literally everyone on earth where she was
Honestly I wish this game was more like Ultimate Alliance where you could start with the main roster and unlock characters/costumes and different moves and combos for your characters. They could go across various locations in DC or even the DC multiverse like Earth-3 with the Crime Syndicate or the DCeased Universe and fight zombies or even create their own different universes, honestly the problem with this game is the potential that could have been. Two things rocksteady could have done for the rocksteady Batman universe 1.) make a prequel where Batman fights the court of owls and then think about what comes next in the series or 2.) MAKE A BATMAN BEYOND GAMEEEEEEE

About the "fake" deadshot even batman in akrham city confirmes that it was actually deadshot and u know exactly when batman is figurering something out hes never wrong!
Really, this game makes me appreciate Arkham Knight a lot more because at least that game had a lot of effort put into it and was a satisfying conclusion to the Arkham Series. But no Rocksteady and WB had to screw it up.
Hey, it's better than Arkham Batman getting shot in the face by Harley Quinn on a f*ckin bench! Like you honestly think that's a better conclusion compared to Arkham Knight!?
i really question the decision to make this canon to Arkham those games are so Batman centric that your not sure if there even is a wider DC universe outside of Gotham it felt like the Dark Knight movies in a way were it kinda felt like Batman and his related characters are the only super heros/villains that exist in that world. but i guess the whole justice league was out there we just never knew about.
I think a better question is, if the League were clones, why did Flash say that Diana had to kill them as if he were the real Barry trying to fight off the mind control.
@@DinoDave150THANK YOU, that is literally something that I wonder about everything people want to bring up how they're clones and not the real league members.

Fun fact, spent $70 and got what I deserved, deadshot spawns under the map no matter what and I cannot progress or even switch him out. Than to add insult to injury I asked Xbox for a refund, made the reason the game straight up doesn’t work and they told my to go screw myself, so now my library has this game I can never play, as a constant reminder to listen to everyone when they say it’s not worth it
And the worst about this is that, this is not the same Rocksteady that we used to know. The original founders left after Arkham Knight I believe and formed their own studio. Now, it's filled with new faces that look like they don't even give a damn.
There are actually a number of Suicide Squad members in the comics that could beat the JL or give them a run for their money. Unfortunately, they aren't featured in this game or the live action movie.
But Superman would still win as he normally only loses because he is wearing his kids gloves to a nukecaul war... So why would a truly evil Superman working for someone who wants to glass Earth not use his full strengh?
Something I wanted to see in this game was the death screens with the Justice League standing over your dead body in the old Arkham games would do that would have been so cool to see
Really good comparison to inFamous, can't believe I didn't even think about that. Man, I wish they would remaster those games instead of Last of Us and Horizon a dozen times.
I refuse to acknowledge this as Kevin Conroy’s final role as Batman in the Arkham universe as stupid as the ending was to Arkham knight at least the game itself wasn’t a gambling simulator
It's really weird when I get a game I despise on principle that it makes me appreciate a game I don't even enjoy much on a narrative level (Arkham Knight) a bit more. RIP Kevin Conroy.
At the very least he'll have his last role role in Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 when it comes out. And fittingly it'll be as the Animated Series Batman.
This game honestly could've been it's own fun, unique self contained thing,if they didn't feel the need to be a canon continuation of the Arkhamverse. Wish they gave us a Batman Beyond, Justice League, or even a Superman game instead, especially when ao many people have asked for one. I am severely praying the Monolith Wonder Woman game ends up being good, the character deserves a win🙏🏾
Yeah, this a world that should not exist. Also I find it funny that the Dark multiverse flashpoint was the most hopeful dark universe since Reverse Flash becomes a hero.
WB done messed up by making Gotham Knights be its own standalone universe instead of being the actual continuation of the Arkhamverse. So much wasted potential.
@@ineedit1772 they could've simply kept Barbara as Oracle and her replacement for Batgirl would be Batwoman aka Cassandra Cain. Not saying that what they made Gotham Knights into would fit in the Arkham canon as it was left after Knight, but with a few changes here and there, it would've fit well within the Arkham canon. And of course, made it into a single-player experience from the very start instead of the weird live-service thing it was gonna be at first that then got heavily cut.
People gave Batwoman shit for Kevin playing an irredeemable Bruce without any shred of Honor left in him, but honestly in a time where Batman is basically DC's mascot and a paragon of all that is so good and righteous that NO AU version of him can be evil except for one, and SUPERMAN has to be the bad guy all the time, I was happy to see an imperfect Kevin deliver his lines with sincerity for a good performance!
8:12, what a great way to express it, you're spot on. But that map is UGLY. Once again, they somehow found a way to make a bright blue sky seem dim, and they stuck that blasted sunset filter over everything that saturates the colors like it's permanently golden hour. Yellows become orangey, greens become puke, and blue becomes dull grey-green. Tired of seeing this in games.
It's why I'm kinda interested with what they're doing with her in Batman: Caped Crusader with Harleen being the bubbly extroverted one and Harley will be more cold and methodical apparently.
I would've rather they have done a King Shark solo game. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if this game and it's premise got viciously mocked in a future DC media. Like a Suicide Squad one shot where they got killed by some high tier force with the exception of King Shark. Hell if they wanted to do the premise without killing the Arkhamverse Justice League, imagine if they used the Justice Lords. Feel like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice Lords would go over better.
What gets me is that it's not even a good adaptation of the IP. Darkest dungeon feels more like a Suicide Squad game than this. For me, the most interesting thing about Suicide Squad as a concept is the moral dilemma that comes with using humans as disposable tools for greater good. The bomb in their head should have some story significance. Imagine having a Guadians of Galaxy type game where you can lose members permanently.
The thing that bugs me about this game most of all, is exactly what bugged me about injustice. It just feels like edgy trash that exists for the sake of shock value, and killing fan favorite characters to get reactions out of fans. Seeing Batman getting executed on a park bench, Wonder Woman losing hope and being laser eyed to death, and Superman getting gunned down in cold blood, is no different from Shazam having his brain melted in injustice 1 in my eyes. There’s nothing about it that I find satisfying, even as someone who use to watch Friday the 13th movies just to see Jason slaughter horny teens. The whole script for this game, reads like an edgy wattpad fan fiction.
I have never been so happy to see a game flop like this one has. Also, does anyone else wish that Hynden Walch would be the new default Harley Quinn instead of Tara Strong?
*Fully* agree with this sentiment. Personally, I always thought that Hynden Walch's Harley Quinn voice was underrated and that she gave the second best Harley Quinn vocal performance after the late Arleen Sorkin...
The fact that WB has said they want to make more games like this and less like Hogwarts Legacy- despite Hogwarts Legacy literally being the best-selling game of 2023- is the kind of insane corporate idiocy you can’t make up.
Watching the cutscenes on youtube out of curiosity and seeing that the ending was just "now do that another twelve times, loser!" is one of the only times I've actually found myself get angry at a game I had never played before. Like, bad endings are commonplace but "yeah maybe we'll give you a resolution in a year if you keep grinding" just hits different
It sad to think that within a few years this game will be unplayable and everyone who spent money on it basically wasted they’re money, the whole you don’t own your games narrative is becoming more true by the day
I remember when this game was announced everybody seem to be talking about it. Was it good, was it bad, was it canon, etc. But once it came out it was met with a pretty universal “eh, guess it’s out there”. None of the models being ported into source for that bit is pretty telling. It feels like a mean spirited story for what could’ve been, and to think what it could’ve been is kinda sad
23:20 Robin was, I would assume, left feeling greatful that he was saved by Bruce, so much so he still looked up to him in the Arkham Knight dlc, Nightwing was ok with doing his own thing in Bludhaven nd even came back to beat the Penguin again, Idk which of the last 3 are Alfred, Barbera, or Gordon but Alfred wanted to make sure Bruce was doing the right thing with the Knightfall protocol, Barbera and Bruce LITERALLY had the whole mission of protecting the GCPD building from tanks and militia henchmen, AND Gordon was elected Mayor and thanked Batman for keeping Gotham safe Did Bruce treat some of them like shit some of the time? Yeah. Would a game where he starts relying o them more be cool? Absolutely. Expecting gamers to pay extra money for a game they already bought is kind of a scummy thing do. Especially when most if not all of the unlockables can only be obtained through digital currency. It just takes the fun out of completing a tough mission if you still need to pay for the thing that should have earned through gameplay alone.
Thanks to 4th Snakes latest video it’s become incredibly likely that this game also tanked M1K. The idea goes that due to this game being delayed for the 40th time WB made NRS release M1K 6 months ahead of schedule so they’d have a new game released at the end of 2023. So if you don’t like M1K for feeling like a poorly thought out rush job thank WB for that.
I'm glad I never bothered giving this game a chance, no interest in looter shooters, charging a crap ton of cash for cosmetics, and all the problems that aren't the justice league getting offed. The fact that the game got put on sale not long after it's release is telling.
I don't think anyone does but the greater lesson is not trusting any studio period because one day somehow they are going to disappoint fans in some way shape or form.
Same, glad it's finally something people won't shut down immediately. For years she had a similar level of respect for her interpretation as Hamil or Conroy. Tara being a freak irl probably helped that

10:22 To be fair, that was the case since Assault on Arkham came out. Bane was not supposed to be there. It doesn’t make sense since it should be a surprise for Batman in Asylum that Bane was secretly trapped there being experimented on.
Gotta give props to how creatively they actually kill the Justice League. Batman was shot with a gun. Flash was taken out with a gun. Green Lantern died from a bullet wound from a gun anddd Superman was shot with a gun.

If he does get another review copy from WB, they can change that proverbial “kick me” sign into a “choke me” sign.
Because Harley is good now. - DC/WB
WB just wants to hit another fortnite.
Because Harley is a feminist now.. it was ok in any other women like Diana etc but Harley .... She thinks her old outfit too 'sexualizing' but have no problem with grabbing Deadshot's ass... Political correctness you have failed this city.
Another reason as to why they should’ve just set it in another universe rather than in an existing one.

Instead of having us purchase skins, the micro transactions should allow us to use characters like Peacemaker and Bloodsport instead of Deadshot with alternate voice lines.

Deadshot should have _been_ Bloodsport in this game and franchise.

I like the point that Batman Arkham Asylum will be talked about 20 years from now. It shows the quality, care, and passion they put in.
When I first saw trailers for this, I thought playing as King Shark would be like a melee style of gameplay, violently ripping enemies appart with your bear hands, biting heads off, or doing any kind of Mortal Kombat style finishser on anyone.

@@ineedit1772 eh, I don't hate them. I think the former gets a lot weaker when it's hijacked for a generic Joker/Batman story. The latter is probably stronger over all though does suffer from the style homogenisation of the post Flashpoint animated films. Two things rocksteady could have done for the rocksteady Batman universe 1.) make a prequel where Batman fights the court of owls and then think about what comes next in the series or 2.) MAKE A BATMAN BEYOND GAMEEEEEEE

Really, this game makes me appreciate Arkham Knight a lot more because at least that game had a lot of effort put into it and was a satisfying conclusion to the Arkham Series. But no Rocksteady and WB had to screw it up.
Saying Arkham Knight was a satisfying ending to what City set up is like saying One More Day was a satisfying ending to Peter and MJ's marriage lmao.

Wait a minute, if all the corrupted justice league members were clones, then what was the deal with green lantern's ring?
A real Green Lantern ring wouldn't work for King Shark.
I think a better question is, if the League were clones, why did Flash say that Diana had to kill them as if he were the real Barry trying to fight off the mind control.
@@DinoDave150THANK YOU, that is literally something that I wonder about everything people want to bring up how they're clones and not the real league members.
Mysterio’s mysteriums are Better than the riddler trophies in this game
Avoid the clocks laser

Avoid getting hit by cars or a train
The Riddler Trophies in this game: "If you want a Riddler Trophy, solve my maze!"
An infamous remaster/remake would be amazing.

At the very least he'll have his last role role in Crisis on Infinite Earths Part 3 when it comes out. And fittingly it'll be as the Animated Series Batman.
It was a tank simulator
This game honestly could've been it's own fun, unique self contained thing,if they didn't feel the need to be a canon continuation of the Arkhamverse.
Wish they gave us a Batman Beyond, Justice League, or even a Superman game instead, especially when ao many people have asked for one. I am severely praying the Monolith Wonder Woman game ends up being good, the character deserves a win🙏🏾

I am of the opinion that this should've been more like Fire Emblem than a looter shooter, even Marvel already somewhat learned that with Midnight Suns
At least injustice had superman build up all the way to a Final Boss that can be pretty difficult on hard.

Let’s just pretend this game’s story takes place in the Dark Multiverse of the Arkham Games…
Yeah, this a world that should not exist. Also I find it funny that the Dark multiverse flashpoint was the most hopeful dark universe since Reverse Flash becomes a hero.
@@bearerofbadnews1375 I guess it’s dark in DC’s eyes, because there’s no Batman in the timeline Reverse Flash creates at the end of the story.
WB done messed up by making Gotham Knights be its own standalone universe instead of being the actual continuation of the Arkhamverse. So much wasted potential.
Yeah but the gameplay was trash and batgirl in arkham is in a wheelchair and Jason doesn’t have powers frankly neither game should be canon to arkham
Assault on Arkham was way better written than most of the rest of this series, seeing it be retconned sucks

Considering there introducing multiverses imagine suicide squad kill the crime syndicate
Can’t wait for Thunderbolts: Kill The Avengers where Screwball shoots Peter in the heart and watches him die from blood loss.
Im so glad someone pointed out the fear toxin fight is odd as hell.
Batman was just standing there and taking bullets to the face 😂
I appreciate the effort put into a 30 second gag in the second half of the video.
And none of the squad even permanently die in this lol
When it's soon clear that NO ONE DIES in the suicide squad itself, you kinda lose a lot of the stakes.
The fact that WB has said they want to make more games like this and less like Hogwarts Legacy- despite Hogwarts Legacy literally being the best-selling game of 2023- is the kind of insane corporate idiocy you can’t make up.
suicide squad kill the justice league was always doomed to fail from the very beginning to its end in my opinion
Why did WB give Xavier a review copy of the game? Are they stupid?
23:20 Robin was, I would assume, left feeling greatful that he was saved by Bruce, so much so he still looked up to him in the Arkham Knight dlc, Nightwing was ok with doing his own thing in Bludhaven nd even came back to beat the Penguin again, Idk which of the last 3 are Alfred, Barbera, or Gordon but Alfred wanted to make sure Bruce was doing the right thing with the Knightfall protocol, Barbera and Bruce LITERALLY had the whole mission of protecting the GCPD building from tanks and militia henchmen, AND Gordon was elected Mayor and thanked Batman for keeping Gotham safe
Did Bruce treat some of them like shit some of the time? Yeah. Would a game where he starts relying o them more be cool? Absolutely. I still don't think any of these characters would literally spit in the face of Bruce just because of what happened on one of the most eventful nights in Gotham City history though.

But wait? I like m1k ,I don't think the game tanked at all
As soon as I saw the giant Arkham Fear Toxin Batman my first thought was “Oh it’s one of these”
I'm glad I never bothered giving this game a chance, no interest in looter shooters, charging a crap ton of cash for cosmetics, and all the problems that aren't the justice league getting offed. The fact that the game got put on sale not long after it's release is telling.
The end pitch for a game about Batman's off-screen development is now my personal canon ending to the Arkhamverse.
I don't think this is in the Arkham universe...it's like one universe to the left
