- If you install Pure 0.203 (or later) on top of a CSP/Sol install, i recommend to use the "uninstall_sol__install_pure.bat" ! It will uninstall Sol completelly and so you can be sure, Pure is running without older Sol parts.

people use to complain about assetto corsa graphics considering its an old game, but in 2023 you have change the whole game just by your works, amazing job champion.

Amazing work! love it the only thing i would say to add is the difficulty adjustment for driving in the rain like the SOL Planner had. It made driving in the rain so much better and didnt feel like i was always drving on ice
Upgrading to a new system tomorrow, very nice vid to refresh my memory. Hopefuly the transfer of all the mods goes smoothly as well
if you transfer AC to another system, do a backup of these folder and restore them on the new system:

To those who have troubles with Pure Config / Controller missing follow these steps. I've trialed and error a whole bunch of things too get to the app working.
Idk why mine decided to kerfuffle up when i installed the latest pure (been using this since V0.102)
1. Make a back up folder of your APPS LUA FOLDER in the ROOT DIRECTORY
2. Close CM
3. Proceed to Delete your LUA folder
4. Reinstall PURE
5. Run the game, test to see if the app appears on your sidebar, Idk why this worked but it did.
6. Proceed to drag and drop your backup apps from the backup folder into the new LUA app folder that came with PURE
There are a few Lua apps, which are causing troubles. They then prevent the loading of other Lua apps.

@@onlyletterandnumber Yeah I figured that some LUA apps caused some issues load errors for other apps, but never thought about deleting the LUA folder and remaking it until I read your response to another subscriber regarding recreating extension folders in AC/docs so I decided to test it out by doing as such.

You need to disable the wiper control at least in Sol Planner. It needs to be set to -2, so it does not interfer the new CSP automatic wiper control.

Hi Peter, It keeps crashing on me. CSP 1.8.80-preview346, with Pure 0.204 keeps crashing. I did what you recommended: rename the cfg in the \\personal documents\Assetto Corsa\CFG folders. Yes, it creates a new one when relaunching CM. If I go back to CSP 0.1.79 and use Default post-processing filter goes back to normal load and Assetto loads normally. It seems there is an issue between ASC, Pure 0.204 and CSP 1.8.80-preview346. Am I missing anything?
Also, an issue with the newest Content Manager: if you go update to the latest content manger, and CSP 79 or higher, sol 2.5 will disappear. Then, no rain, in my case. I had to reinstall older version of CM, downgrade to CSP 79 preview, and sol 2.5 appeared again. Because I don’t dry with rain, I updated to latest content manager, upgraded to CSP 79 preview and sol (regular version).
Also, if you get the acs.exe error, downgrade from CSP 80+ down to 79. It will work again.

Could I use AC Vision reality 1.3 ppfilter for Pure 0.203 for Pure 0.205 ? Because I could not find Pure 0.203 from your Patreon.
I did some hotfixes in the first days after the release of Pure 0.203. So, yes. Pure 0.203, 0.204 and 0.205 are actually the same versions.

Hello. I've installed the mods correctly and the graphics seem to be all installed correctly :) however I've noticed my controller setups/presets has been over-ridden and my steering has changed, is this a installation error e.g., I might've overidden something by accident on my side?
Update 1: I've found out it was due to the CSP being on the required 0.1.80-preview346 (which I installed).. is there anyway to keep my controller preset settings whilst being on the required version for pure, instead of having to be on 0.1.79 to run my drive with my controller presets?

with Pure 0.204 it also works in Carrers. Please have a look in the Pure Patroen update post. There is a pdf linked, which describes you what you need to do...
hey..........followed everything step by step and when i tried the hotlap it was black and white and the Pure config had: "Skydome textures are missing!" so what do i do now?
Hello, first of all, thank you very much for all your work.
I'm using a G2 VR headset. To see the rear lights of competitors or the LEDs on the steering wheel in the car, with good quality, you must activate a Filter or is it possible to modify an option in CM? Enabling Pure filter in VR takes 30% FPS.
Was there a minimum CM version required for this Pure? Know auto-update is breaking everything so we had to rollback or use a manually installed version. Wasn't sure if I could use new Pure and CSP without updating CM.

@@onlyletterandnumber It instructs users where to download CM, to choose the latest version, and how to install CM followed by the specified minimum CSP version. Nothing about if the latest CM version is required. CM's auto-update is breaking things so I was just checking if a CM update would be required to use this Pure and CSP since I have updates disabled at this time.

Question why can't I adjust light levels in the "Pure Config" section and the cloud brightness? They are orange and yellow and just pop back to where they are set at and I just got the latest version 0.234. Thank you in advance.
If you don't use Pure's own ppfilters, then the PPfilter creator decided to lock those values, please ask the creator then....
i installed everything step by step watching the tutorial, but i still dont see my pure app in game, i have csp 346 and the last version of content manager, still not working

i installed everything as the vidoe shows have the exact same version of csp and cm and i have black roads and when i go to the pure app its just a blank box...PLEASE HELP
It seems you did not install CSP as in the video! If you open the CSP Lua debug app in-game, are there multiple red dots?

any recommendations on fixing FPS... I dont know why mine is so low considering I have a 3090 w/ Ryzen 9. I was hitting 80-100 before and now hitting 45 with the update.. even hitting 80-100 is too low for my setup.. running triples (samsung g7 32)
Please open the Lua debug app. If there is a tab with a red dot, an error happens and slows down the system. Maybe better you come to Pure Discord. Solving problems is much easier there.
one more question: when i select Pure weather it is LIVE whather? i love playing offline during a race with live weather
Live weather comes with the next Pure version.

@@pr4nique703 You know, every 1000 people i gave support, who said, they done it like in the video, they didn't. Trust me, it was always the case, that they have done something different. If you still need help, maybe its just better you go to the Pure Discord. Link your Patreon and Discord in Patreon settings - apps and you will be autoconnected to Pure Discord.
I dont seem to have the Use Seasonal Adjustments option. Does this mean that I am somehow running the wrong version?
It's ok. They were merged in one option now in the track adjustments settings.

For me not working game crashed with csp 346 and pure 0.203 go back
218 and 1.90 working. Not have extensions orders on cfg.
Installing only Pure 0.203 game started and is all Red, Installing 346 crashed, same with 0.190 Installing 346 crashed. Any solutions?
Did you install it manually like shown in the video. Did you already try to completely reset your CSP settings by renaming the /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/extension folder? Then restart CM.

i got a question, is using static reflection actually doing something bad to my game? what does it change?
Static reflection does not work for Pure. Pure needs dynamic reflection, because it calculates the exposure with the reflections brightness. This method gives a very steady exposure and is the key to the new graphics!

Did you install it manually?
Open the zip file and EXTRACT the "dwrite.dll" and the "extension" folder to your AC root folder (Steam install folder of AC "common\assettocorsa").
Reset CSP settings completely!
Goto /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/ rename the "extension" folder to something different. Restart CM. It will create a new "extension" folder. You can restore it later.
I worked with many CSP versions. The most reason of problems are settings. So please just try to use default values.
Do automatic on/off wipers currently not work with Pure Dynamic at this time? It works fine with everything else but.

Just deactivate the wiper control in Sol Planner! It prevents the weatherFX auto wipers. Set it to -2 in Sol Planner settings or deactivate Sol Planner .

@@onlyletterandnumber I tried a combinatiom of things and what did the job for me was a old forgotten setting:
> Sol Planner app
Wipers = Auto (was already applied)
> Sol Plan Selector app
Wipers = Auto (was 0, fixed the problem)
Resetting the Python App Settings for Sol Weather App was a simple way to go about it.
CM: Settings > Assetto Corsa > Python App Settings > Sol Weather App > Reset
Otherwise Python: Sol Panner unchecked and -2 had no effect on dynamic weather wipers for me. Only unchecking Python Apps: Sol Weather App would fix wipers so I looked a bit deeper to find the old wiper setting set to 0 from past useage. In case it helps someone else...

You have heatshimmering on in ac settings 5:23 . In the extrafx a have option for this.I Most set both aktiv, or disable ?? Whats the diffrent ? Thanks for info
Those are different effects. The heat effect in the video settings is a YEBIS effect, which is usually used only on the car parts.
The heat effect in extraFX is part of CSP's own shaders and is generated with track heat. So if you set the ambient and road temperatures realy high Pure/Sol or the default weather style will activate the heat shimmer on the road.

Did you install the right CM version?
The static weather still named like Clear (Sol). But you should have a pure static controller and a Pure dynamic submenu

what you mean with version 1.8? Just install Pure 0.205 like shown in the video and it will work.

Don't know what do you mean. But you can also open it with WinRAR or even windows explorer. It is no more a 7z file, it is a normal zip now. It will work without 7zip app actually

i have followed this to a T. had a few issues but i have it working except pure doesnt seem to have any skydomes. how can i fix this? ive installed pure many times
If the install is done like it is shown, the skydomes should be there. Go to Pure discord and open a new post in the Pure help.

Hello, for me Pure is not showing up in the race settings for weather settings.
be sure you install it exactly like in the video. You need to update CM and you need to install Pure like i show it.
i can't get csp 1.80 its doing my fricken head head in, i set up pure settings in weather fx but it doesnt show up in the drive weather selection, just the sol options, when i go to play i cant see more than meter in front of me because it just a dense red fog covered map, any ideas?

Then you did not follow the steps exactly. You need to extract the whole Pure 0.205 folder to Desktop. Then you go into this folder and start the install_pure.bat. What the installer shows you after you select the AC root folder?
why we need to pay for another mod to use this, whats the point in even buying it considering i have to pay another 5 bucks for it to work in order

First you locked your caps. Second, just do it like in the video. You need to be a Patreon of Ilja Jusupov to access the preview versions.

You just need to install it exactly like it is shown in this video and it will work. Just have a look, how the latest CM is installed

I got an Error 0xc0000142, which I don't have with csp1.80.218. but I cannot launch the game with csp1.80.346. pure 203 works, it launches if I go back to 218. so far I did game verifying, cleared my Temp file, sfc scan. and no luck.
did you already try to reset CSP settings? Just try to rename your \Documents\Assetto Corsa\cfg\extension folder to something different. CM will create a new one. Now your CSP settings are reset completelly. If this does not solve your problems, you could restore that folder.

@@kuyo_art x3 and ive already tried every tip from manually installing everything, setting pureCtrl in the weather_fx.ini, setting pure in weather style and on the drive tab, reset CSP settings to default. just crashes. wish it didnt require the new csp cause i havent been able to get that to work since it was released so im sure its more an issue with csp than with pure203.
i fixed it after looking up how to read the crash files. they are zip files. unzip to your desktop and then read the customshaderspatch file and scroll all the way down to find what the last thing it did before it crashed. in my case i had a police.lua from a server that has police and that was the conflict. i then went into content manager, content tab, miscellaneous, lau apps and found the one for the police and deleted it. started right up.

Offline or online? You can't change the rain in online sessions.

Found the trick for game crashing, if you use vr then go into you settings and click one screen display and game will actually load up. Idk if this works for vr which is what I use. If anyone has figured out how to make it work with vr that would be amazing!

@@kayumust There are alot of CSP settings. Sure people share them, mostly with ppfilters. But i would be carefully to import them. You will never know if those people know what they do or don't. So maybe just check them yourself. You can change they most settings live if AC runs.
