- If you install Pure 0.222 (or later) on top of a CSP/Sol install, i recommend to use the "uninstall_sol__install_pure.bat" ! It will uninstall Sol completelly and so you can be sure, Pure is running without older Sol parts.

Thank you for your work! One thing: I would choose a newer CSP preview version (not the 1.80preview) in the tutorial because before it says, we need 0.2 or higher.

Just a bit of an issue I had
Recently upgraded to the newer Content Manager, meaning, I have access to the newer CSP versions. Went from 0.1.79 straight to 0.2.2, but once I returned to AC, with the ASR MP4/6, in Buddh Intl (in case it's not a CSP issue), it went down bad in resolution. Even though I'd put up max res on the CSP settings, all the textures looked blocky. Rolling back to 0.1.79, it looked great once again, but I'm still confused. I do wanna try the newer PP Filters (until now, A3PP, but wish to move on to Sol and all), but Christ, CSP is giving me issues. You have any clue what could've happened? If you do, thanks a bunch in adv.
Amazing work as usual, question why can't I adjust light levels in the "Pure Config" section and the cloud brightness? Thank you in advance.
If you don't use Pure's own ppfilters, then maybe the PPfilter creator decided to lock those values. Please ask the PPfilter creator....
Because so many AC players have already installed Pure & Sol over the past couple years (and probably uninstalled and reinstalled both after updates come out) that it would be extremely helpful to have specific instructions, like the ones here in this excellent installation video, on what the best steps are to install the latest Pure (& Sol?) and CSP preview, if you've already installed them in the past? For example, should you run "uninstall_sol.bat" and "uninstall_pure.bat" if you've installed earlier versions, before going through the install and setup steps in the video? I think this impressive software will work best if it's clear how much of a clean install is required or recommended for the best outcome and results.
Actually the video shows everything needed to install it. If the steps are done exactly like in the video, it will work. In the patreon update post i also describe to use the uninstall_sol_install_pure.bat, to properly uninstall Sol and then install Pure.
I had Sol installed and wet tracks was mirror on edges with stand water,now with Pure and latest CSP 0.21 the wet track is not reflected,whats the problem?Is this Pure or my install went bad?@@onlyletterandnumber

@@onlyletterandnumber well that didnt still explain what hes saying people still dont know how to uninstall it or get it to work and mine dont work and ive done everything step by step and i gota ryzen 9 5900 and a 3060 so i aint got trouble running the game so i think hes right you should have done more of a clean tutorial on it im stuck with a broken game now because you wanna hype up stuff that doesnt work or your not clarifying it.
It is all in the video if you cared to watch it. yes, press the uninstall bats then install. do that with every update, its so simple.

I've spent about 2 hours now chasing an exposure issue. The gamma on everything looks like it's turned up way too high and the virtual mirror is completely blown out and nearly white. Anyone else having this issue?
Just reset to defaults in Pure Config "Main" tab. You can also turn down gamma in the "PP" tab, PP adjustments.

Just deactivate Sol Planners wiper control. Set it to -2
For me, the traffic planner no longer works at all since I installed CSP 0.2 and CSP 0.21 Preview.
The Traffic planner tab exists but when I click on it it is completely empty (impossible to see the lines and choose the number of traffic cars etc...)
Do you know how I can resolve this issue please?
Just install a prior version of CSP like 0.1.79 or 0.1.80p346 and install the new CSP again. In the new CSP just 1 file is missing. Will be fixed with the next version.
What would you recommend if i already use Pure. Just install the new version OR uninstall everything and then install the new Pure version ?
The uninstall removes everything, so also your settings. Just use the installer. It will remove the old Pure files, but leaves your settings!

Hey peter, pure looks beautiful i am just having one issue and that is the sun glare gets way too bright to the point my whole screen gets a super bright glare any way i can fix this ?
Which ppfilter do you use? Please try with the pure filters like "pure" or "pureCandy". Also try to reset to defaults an Pure Config "Main" page.
Under the drive area and weather choices, pure doesn't show up, just Sol. Any suggestions?

Please have a look again at the pure update post. At the bottom there is a disclaimer, that you always need a CSP preview version for rain. You will find a link there to Ilja's Patreon where you get this preview version.
Mine sais file not found its pretty weird and i dont know why
I have a weird bug headlights are working goodwhen racing, but when i choose replay using camtool2 the front and back headlights is allows off, only on the replay the headlights are not working(the brake light are working in replay to).
Only if i go to Pure config in the tab ''Ai '' and tick ''Force headlight on'' (instead of Headlight default /or pure headlight) then i can see the headlight in replay to. Only after i update to pure 0.222 and csp 0.2.1, before with 0.205 and csp 1.80.346 no problem.
Actually this is a feature which came with CSP 0.2 and later. Headlights were not controllable in replays. In Pure 0.222 and CSP 0.2 they are just working like in the race, the will be switched on or off dependent on the weather and ambient light.
i dont get the pure as an option under the drive - weather menu. Funny enough, even though i uninstalled sol, i still get the sol option
Those are just the weather presets that called Sol .... I still ship them because of compatibility reasons.
Just install the CM version like shown in the video and you see the option.
I’m not able to use the traffic planner when using pure on the csp version 0.2.0 any way to fix that?
Install a previous CSP version and then CSP 0.2.0 again.
Hi, in quick race menu the weather tab suddenly doesn't have the dynamic section and no matter what weather I choose it is stuck at rain when I choose CM option in pure plannee
CM means it is the weather chosen in Content Manager.
@@onlyletterandnumber yes, and whatever I choose in the weather tab from CM it applies rain and that's all, I will upload images to the discord server, it will be easier to know what I am trying to say
Hello, I tried installing pure (replaced sol) but I can't get any rain particles or puddles showing with csp 2.0.
Is it a RainFX Issue or, I'm messing up with something else?

You could just use the Pure 7z file you download from Patreon.

Why was previous video removed?
I changed a chapter. You no longer need to set something in weatherFX other than "Pure". All is fine with default weatherFX and default Track adjustment settings.
For me, instead of Weather Style, it says Controller Script and Weather Script. What's that about?

Please watch the video and follow the steps precisely. It will work then. You need to install all showed things. Content Manager, CSP and Pure like it is shown....
Do I need to have pure installed to get the graphics? I can see pure in content manager. Everything’s on but in game I don’t see the graphics :/

Hi, Peter, for some reason after uninstalling Pure 0.102 and installing Pure 0.222, I no longer have the option so select pure as my WeatherFX controller. But other Pure 0.222 features installed properly, such as the PureVR PP Filter.

I've had CM and CSP downloaded and fully updated. It turns out I needed to disable Pure and re-enable it within CM, and now it works. However, now all Pure PP Filters are horribly overexposed, even with saturation set to 0. Do I need to completely re-install CM and CSP every time I update Pure?@@onlyletterandnumber

i just did everything in the video, only i have csp 2.2 installed. I have little freezes while driving now in th rain but the fps are around 110, i don't understand what is going on please can you help ?

Hey Peter thanks for your work but i'm having an issue with rain, simply doesn't work at all. I have installed CSP 0.2.1 Preview 2, CM version is the latest 0.8.2594.39678, and obviously Pure 0.222, but nothing happens, what i need to do?? Off course i follow all the steps in this video almost 10 times but nothing fix the error. Please, tell me what i need to do!!
Just check your CSP version in CM settings CSP about&info. Does it show 0.2.1p2?

Maybe you did not install Content Manager like shown in the video! Check your version, it should be 0.8.2594....

Hi Peter. At the end of the video in pure config my checklist shows reflections frequency is not set to static. How do I change this? And also how do I run the sol uninstall? Is it necessary? Thanks for everything.
There is a text which describes where you find it. It's in the AC video settings. There is a very little chance, that Pure Config can't read this setting. So if it is set to 1 face per frame or higher, just ignore this warning.
You don't need to uninstall Sol. But if you use Pure Planner, you need to deactivate Sol Planners wiper control. Set it to -2 in the Sol Planner settings.

When I install pure, the weather tab at 5:13 doesn't give me any dynamic pure options, only Sol

It could be any 7z file. It was to demonstrate how to associate a 7z file to 7z file Manager. Just use the pure archive you download from Patreon or Gumroad....
I can't access weather planner. I'm getting Sol 2.5 not running error.
Pure has its own planner now. Just use Pure Planner instead of Sol Planner. Please watch the video carefully.

Hey, ever since I got Pure, I've been having very severe performance issues in VR mode, which is very strange because my graphics card and CPU are nowhere near fully utilized. Does anyone have any idea if I need to adjust any settings to fix the performance issues?
In normal screen mode I have >=140FPS
My hardware
Graphics card: RTX 3080 TI - 60% Utilization
CPU: Ryzen 7 5950X 16cores - 23% Utilization
RAM: 32GB - 80% Utilization
Hi, try to work around your power mode in nvidia pannel and windows for your 3080 Ti : 60% utilization is not normal since your CPU is at 23% so no CPU bottleneck problems. If it doesn't work can you give me how much power the 3080 is drawing in game after like 10 min ( just to be sure ) we will see if we put the finger on the right thing.

Try to install it manually. Open the zip and go into the Pure folder. Extract the 4 folders apps, content, extension and system to AC root. Be sure you updated CM and CSP as well like it is shown in the video!

yup I redid every thing. I must have a conflict with something. my pure config is blinking won't let me select anything. now getting 30 fps....
link your Discord account in Patreon settings - more - connected apps. You will be autoconnected to the Pure Discord Server. Please make a new post in the pure help channel.
hello, just having an issue finding the "'install'' file. after extracting to desktop, i dont get that folder withing the pure folder.. please help!

I checked my CSP and its on the latest version (0.2.2) but when i try to bring up the pure menu in-gameit says i need at least 1.80.. also, it wont show up on my weather fx drop down as an option to select.

Also install CSP manually if you have a preview version. Don't do it via CM!
I got pure working, but if I select rain int he weather I can only hear the sound. The cloud get dark but I don't see the drops falling on the track or on the windscreen..I have Weather, Rain enabled in the settings...Help...?
You need a CSP preview version for rainFX! It is linked in the video description...

Hello, last month i downloaded pure 0.205 from your patreon. If i install it i get no puddles or rain. I have bought the full version of content manager so i should also have Rain right? Do i need anything else for it to work?
Pure does not bring rain. You always need a CSP preview version for rain ...

I just supported you earlier today. in the new "Pure 0.180a" there is no "uninstall_sol_install_pure.bat" file I'm just wondering, will it work properly if I didn't have to uninstall sol.

Looks great but my frame times become really uneven with CSP 2.0 so I guess I have to stay with the 1.79
I work with all CSP versions and never experienced such frame fluctuations.

there is currently a bug. Don't set the Cm weather in the Pure dynamic controller to "Random"

Then you did not follow the video exactly! Please do the steps exactly! You can also link your Patreon with Discord and then you will be autoconnected to Pure Discord Server. Help is much easier there....
Me too, my pure config just blank and empty, in drive menu just show pure static,, my clouds normal but I can't settings any config in pure config,, Very messed up
@@RizkyAshary just do the install exactly like it is shown in the video! Most people say they do it like in the video, but they miss steps, like extracting the whole Pure folder to Desktop with 7zip app before they run the installer in this folder then. Or they miss to install the right CM or CSP!

Pure does not show up in the Weather Styles. I followed this to the tee and it still wont work.

Its not necessary, BUT i recommend it, because Sol apps will force a wiper control. Pure does not have one, because it is not separated from car controls. So if you like to have Sol in parallel, please deactivate the wiper control in Sol Planner and Sol weather app

@@onlyletterandnumber I have the exact same problem as him. When I start the .bat file and select my AC folder, the CMD instantly closes without an error. Happens with every version, which is why I had to install Pure manually all the time. Also tried starting it as Admin etc., nothing helped.

looks great, sun glare is so good. I uninstalled sol as suggested. If I go into planner and make it rain or sleet for example, I hear the rain but don't see it. It gets dark and everything, seems like just a weird setting I am missing. everything else seems bang on. Anyone have any ideas. And before someone says watch the video I paused this 1000x and did everything exactly lol
if anyone has the same issue, I reinstalled the lights patch but used V0.2.1 and next try rain is working. Not sure why but not complaining.

Please watch closer. You need to associate the 7zFM.exe for 7z files.

Did everything, and I still get a black sky, note: I'm assuming the recent CSP is causing an issue because when I downgrade the pure to the last update, it works fine.

@@onlyletterandnumber it was working a second ago but defaulted my CSP to version 0.2.1, once i chose 0.2.0 the rain disappeared & 0.2.1 just disappeared. Now i can’t choose 0.2.1.

i figured it out i just used sol 2.0 instead of 1.79
I got the CSP 0.2.0, Pure 0.222 and Rain FX is also active but I can't get any rain, I can hear it but I don't see any rain falling nor any puddles on the track

I also completely got rid of Sol, maybe that's the problem ? (Couldn't make the rain work with Sol either so I must be dumb and missing something)

@@valfar9999 I could not get rain either, the video although detailed, does not state that 2.0 will not allow rain and that you do need 2.1 apparently. It says you can use either.
something is wrong with my pure config... it keeps glitching from "pure lighting shader can produce stroboscopic effects!!!" and won't let me continue wherever I click. I tried my best to copy whatever you did in the video.
Please watch the video. You did not install it properly! You also need to update Content Manager and CSP!
