The fact that this game is still going so strong is crazy. It's already almost 10 years old. There needs to be something new come out at some point...it's getting to be like Live for Speed at this point if you're old enough to remember that game (the never ending saga of 3.0 which eventually came out like 10 years later lol)
Why when the platform is there and mods already can make it a better game than a studio will even decide to make at this point.

Tbh it would be pretty cool if AC2 is just a port of AC1 with a revamped graphics pipeline, better AI, some QOL updates and modern community/server features. That's what AC1 lacks natively right now. Everything else is pretty much covered with mods and the base game. Sequels to this type of game should build upon what's there and modernize, not start from the ground up. AC1 is the most robust foundation for a racing game on the market already, why start from scratch in something like UE? I'm not a game dev though I suppose.

Very nice job. I try it and after optimising my FPS with yours tips in your next video, I had also to change in the ppfilter file "ini" the value of vignetting strentgh due to my ultrawide 34" screen else I had a very pixellated blue gradient into the sky. I change value to 0.2 and it's so nice now. Thank you very much man.

Crazy render, too bad the audio is so subpar in this game, it's almost half of what makes a good sim driving experience
The car they were driving was a mod. Can't blame the game for shitty audio from mods. The audio in AC is fantastic, really. Just listen to the Alfa Romeo 155 Touring car if you want an example. Any of the vintage Porsche's sound incredible too. Kunos puts out high quality work.

I must say that as a professional game environment artist myselft this is one of the very few reshade/texture and light mod for a game that really improves and get the game close to a real life look. Great Job for the Creators and i just hope someone make a mod that also improve the sound system for the game instead of just replacing the sounds themselves, as together with a mod like this would make AC amazing good looking and also belivable and realistic.

make sure you have all versions of CSP and Pure up to date and I recommend the latest ones as well because you no longer need Reshade
i don't know if it's because i'm on 1080p, but i've done multiple fresh reinstalls of SOL, pure, reshade, video and CSP settings. followed every instruction down to the tee and it just looks awful! there is this constant overlay of dots in bright spots like i'm watching a grainy VHS tape. also, if you value your eye sight, unusable in almost all DRY weather conditions. this is just another case of "looks pretty with wet tracks and only in specific weather conditions during a very specific time of day". can't recommend this at all!
have you tried disabling and re-enabling some reshade effects? I also noticed this VHS rendering but only at night when there are very few light sources I'm working on a fix. My preset is a personal preset that I adapted in relation to the calibration of my TV and I am aware that it is possible that it will not adapt to everyone, that is why it is free and that I recommends to adjust by yourself by changing the values.
@@maximumcustomgames2416 i tried everything to at least get rid of those grains. unless i disable everything and make everything too dark to see, they'll stay. which doesn't make sense since some of those effects shouldn't produce that kinda artifacting. i assume it's the post processing filters fault then? another thing i noticed at night in shutoko for example, you set the csp_lights emissive really high, which makes the whole buildings glow unnaturally, as opposed to just the windows inside. it's probably really hard to adapt it to other hardware. still nice to look at in videos and i hope the hard work pays off soon! :)
@@mcchickengrip423 I am testing a new version and by modifying I found that it is the effect of solaris, curves and lumasharpen which produce these artifacts. I try not to use these effects but the PPfilter does not allow me to have a similar rendering. I found an alternative solution to erase these artifacts by activating the CRT lottes, it gives a nice effect to the game, I will post a video soon
@@maximumcustomgames2416 i tried only using your CSP settings and the shadows render very grainy for some reason. might be another source you could look into? also, on a side note, i might not get lucky here, but could you tell me which CSP setting you changed in order to make the game run smoothly while tabbed out? i would really appreciate your help. i've tried general patch settings and graphic adjustments individually, neither one was doing the trick...
@@mcchickengrip423 for the CSP parameters I checked all the possible effects and put everything to the max for example if you find that the shadows are grainy you can put back to default by clicking on the reset option or by right clicking with the button of the mouse I intend to make a video explaining the graphic options of CSP but I need a little time
Just to warn low resolution users (below 1080p), your screen might show some white kinda pixel stripes with this specific reshade, I suggest you then to take the reshade off

I tested in 1600x900 and I have no problem try disabling full screen mode otherwise you can try unchecking the effects one by one to see where the problem comes from

Still useless for VR players. Where you can try hundreds of this 'uber-hyper-super-photo-realistyc' nonsense, but the best looking results is just play AC+CSP and no post processing enabled at all.

Yes, reshade impact FPS around 10fps causing by mxao and ppx ssdo you can disable them but the game look fade

With the latest PURE 0.180 you don't need Reshade anymore since it has tonemapping features. Hopefully you will be able to get the same efftect or even better and be able to regain your FPS back.
for now I'm testing with Pure 0.180 and even with tonemapping I get a nice rendering but not as I want I'm still working on it.
you can uncheck "ppfx ssdo" and "mxao" to increase your FPS😉

@@user-zc9zt2vl5s yes, I tried to pay with Pure Candy and I can't get what I want. For the moment I stay on my ppfilter and I managed to obtain a similar rendering while disabling PPFX SSDO and mxao and more without impacting the FPS too much

i dont have the Pure config settings ingame what am i doing wrong?
open Content Manager -> Settings -> Custom Shaders Patch -> Weather FX and check if Pure is selected in "Weather style".
If yes, and you do not have Pure Config, I advise you to uninstall and reinstall Pure.

ignore these errors it's just shaders that need to be updated and you don't need these shaders anyway. Load my preset and normally it's good.

do you see values when you go to the light tab? if so and they are all grayed out in this case try loading my profile in the "PP filter" tab of Pure if it still does not work you can copy my values using the screenshots that I put in file you downloaded

Put a distorted lens effect (almost kind of like a fisheye) and a more shaky cam and it would be hard to distinguish from real footage

yes there are 3D trees but I find that some make the game less beautiful. It depends on the tracks. There are also skin packs for 2D trees and they are very well done and above all offer better performance.

version 1.1 requires Reshade and there are options that I activated in Reshade which take up a lot of resources but which can be deactivated just by clicking on them, such as MXAO and PPFX_SSDO. But I strongly advise using my latest version 1.3.3 which no longer needs Reshade which greatly improves performance.

hello everyone , I have a big problem with RESHADE🥶 , I activated something and since then I can no longer launch my assetto corsa x( . to choose the PPfilter you have to open Content Manager -> Settings -> Assetto Corsa -> Video in Video you must have "Filter" and there you must choose my ppfilter but I advise you to take my latest version but you must have Pure and CSP installed before

Hello, I changed my system to a 13600K and 32GB of RAM and honestly for me 16GB of RAM is more than enough for most games. The only games to which I recommend 32go are Flight Simulator and the Last of Us. To check the amount of RAM used by the game, I activate RivaTuner and rare are the games that exceed 12Go. On the other hand, the 24gb of the 4090 helps a lot👍

I don't udnerstand. I followed everything correctly but when i open the map and then the pure config, in script laoded there is no Vision Reality.
It's on Scriptloaded _ defualt_script.lua. So i try manually IMPORT, and i select it, but still it remains default_script.lua.
What is happening exactly?
import my profile by clicking on "Import" in Pure Config. Once it is loaded check in the "light" tab that you have values which are in yellow this means that my profile is loaded then go to the "PP" tab then click on "Save script settings" and normally it will be loaded for the next time

@@666nevermore did you save from the "PP" tab -> "save script settings"? I think you are mistaken in the version of Pure because 1.21 does not exist to my knowledge but normally it should not matter in the versions of Pure unless you are using the first versions

it works with Pure 0.180 but the colors are slightly different wait tomorrow I release version 1.2 which is made for Pure 0.180 and is compatible with CSP 1.79 Reshade will be optional otherwise the version of Reshade is 5.8.0

It is a lot to do for getting AC looking better, I find all that software part hard, lol, I will be honest, I am enjoying Beam NG at the moment, The FFB in Beam NG is staggering how real it feels, Even the front wheel drive cars, Having to do all these different things to get it right is a bit much for me, I just wants to jump on a game and play with it already looking good, Doing all different things is what is putting me off AC, If I never had to download different things and install different things I would be on it, My patients is crap see, I might have a go, But it is a put off for me, Plus my memory isn't too clever, Almost filled the 1tb M.2 I got, I got to get rid of things I no longer use I guess, Yeah I might have a go at this tomoz....
Until then I will have to jump on Beam NG for some police chase fun, lol....

Nothing will rescues this game FOR ME. I bumped 3 times from it, and decided to never get back. handling on gamepad is just pain - thanks to wooden interface/menu that block my gamepad (Xbox One pad) on race, or in menu - it never work in both places. Extremaly unfriendly navigation.

Try the version AC Vision Reality 1.2 link in the description of the video with 1.2 you don't need Reshade anymore and performance are better

I advise you to download my latest version which is 1.3. If with 1.3 you don't have the Pure Config menu in the right bar, I would advise you to reinstall Pure. In the Pure folder there is a file "uninstall.bat" click on it then reinstall Pure.

i dont get the point of using a old version of pure.....with new pure 1.65 no more need of reshade.....reshade was cool in 2016.... you can achieve the same thing without reshade that eats alot of fps......
