I did it! Alone OMG at 62, I did alright, it took me 4 hours the only thing I couldn't do is stand it up after the first 3 rows of shelves. I have the 5X5 one, The finished product is lying on the floor until my son and husband come home! LOL Thank you again. I did it!
Thank you! I just bought a smaller one and I'm going to put it together today. You made the directions clear and simple! Ikea needs to pay you for your videos! 😊
I did this alone too. Only took about and hour. Your video was so much more help than the instructions. The Kallax I purchased only had one hole for the wings and sides . Thank you so much for this video You made it so easy. If I do it again though, wear long pants. Carpet did a number on my knees.
Thanks so much for this video ---- I struggle usually to do anything of this sort ---- however from the time I started opening the box til completion, including watching the video and pausing each step was under 45 minutes. Yeah for me. I might just buy another one.
I am operating solo and followed his instructions-broke two dowels in the process. Don't recommend tipping over to use body weight, a good way to snap the dowels. I now have a damaged Kallax in 3 places. Also hammering can destroy the dowels and they won't fit in the holes. I don't have a remedy for this just push in as far as you can with your hands to preserve dowels, then tap with hammer.
I agree. Getting those small slats inside is really tough.90% goes in, rest needs hammering and gently. Too hard and kallax ply will break. Bad Ikea Design there.
Just finished putting my 5x5 - by myself in a tiny room, without adequate room to work. Dang near killed me. I believe Dante once wrote a book about it. Never again. 😓
Muchisimass graacias, lo monte sola y me estaba siendo IMPOSIBLE meter los tornillos, siguiendo las instrucciones de hacerlo echado, que vienen en el manual de Ikea 👋🏻👋🏻😩

Super helpful. For future info, IKEA is no longer making the bottom board brown. Everything is same color. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks Norma. I thought I had two tops.
Setting up the model with the brown bottom for my parents
I bought my 5x5 yesterday and it has a brown bottom.
Thank you . Old folks like my hubby and I appreciate your simple, detailed approach.

I was going to pay someone to put mine up, but watching this I can do it myself. Thanks
This was super helpful since I didn't receive a manual w/ mine. Thank you very much for uploading this!
Hey, i know that has been up awhile but still thank you. It made this job so much easier and is much appreciated
Big thanks for filming and sharing! Best regards Rajesh and Keith
Thanks! I did a bigger one a couple years ago and it was awful. I just got hired to do this size and you make it look totally manageable!
OMG!!! So helpful didn’t even need the instructions!!!

Thank you for this. I knew I was doing something wrong and this really helped!!!
Thank you so much, I've completed a 3 x 3 of these with your help.
Great, clear instruction. Very helpful. I'm halfway through setting it up.
Thank you so much. You just took the frustration out of me putting this shelf together.
I did it! Thank you so much!!! You are amazing!!

What do you do if you have broken the big dowels and they don’t go through both fin panels!
Cheers, mate, that was really helpful.
Great video. It helped me tremendously

You rock!! Thanks for the video.
Melanie Hayden no problem glad it helped out! Hope your shelf came out nice 👌🏽
Super simple! 👌🏽
Thank you so much!
No worries!
You had me at "you're gonna have to screw this, you can't just shove it in there" ;-)
But how did you place the drawers ???
He has another video on the drawer placement
Sir did this unit come with the drawers .. and how to fix them
Every video kept showing the bottom a different color, so I’m over thinking how these jokesters done given me two tops, lol!
Right! So how did you know the top from the bottom? Mine are the same color.
@@CreoleScorpio Some comes with both side same color for bottom and top. Not to worry, now you can flip your kallax and it still works :D
Thank you
Much appreciated
THank you!
Thank you
