Does anyone know if GRILLSKÄR Door/side units/back 104.714.48 can be used on any kind of frame. I want the doors to use on another non ikea frame? I thought this might be a good place to ask since it's all about hacks.. Thanks.
Step one: purchase all of the tools for a woodshop. Oh and as long as you have all the tools just build the stuff out of real wood instead of cheap particle board.
Exactly! All you really need are a circular saw, miter saw, jigsaw, electric sander, construction adhesive, electric drill, and a relative or spouse that works in construction!! Simple. 😂
The creative project is the point. To custom something gives more than whats payed for. DIY'ers know you can buy other furniture. But the process and project, making and designing is the point.😊 But Hey we dont all enjoy creating stuff😊
Kallax is supposed to be attached to a wall for safety, so stacking them on castors is a health and safety nightmare. Insurance will not cover you if it falls on someone.
I was out after the very first one showed a towering card catalog not only not anchored to the wall to keep it from tipping over, BUT ON CASTERS.
#7 THE LEGS WERE 4X4 NOT 2X4.. MICHAELS CRAFTS HAS PICTURE FRAMES THAT FIT EXACTLY IN THE SQUARES OF KALLAX THAT I USE FOR A BOOK CASE=NO DUST
I thought this was a video that shows you how to make these

Yeah, this. If you're going to make stuff yourself with wood, who needs the KALLAX under it?
Is that kallax or collapse? It sounds similar to my hard of hearing😂😂😂😂
Not feeling any of these Ikea hacks
What is the point? Buy some nice furniture-it won’t cost any more and you save yourself a lot of work and frustration!
Totally agree

some of these 'hacks' are really useless, for some of the hacks its easier to build furniture from scrap instead and the others look cheap

You sound quite a bit like a guy who makes Thailand «news» stories. Same voice, almost.
