This little hobby of mine has been going on for nearly 3 years! 🥹
To celebrate that, I've compiled 10 of my favourite Ikea hacks into a video, that has been also requested by many subscribers. Links for all the materials have also been provided in the description box. I hope you'll send me pictures on IG @ccloudyhills if you recreate any of them :)
Amazing and beautiful all around. You make it look so easy! Love how you share all the how to's.
Hi! First time seeing your videos. I love home design & making inexpensive furniture look spendy! I really want to know what the computer program is that you keep using to mock up your ideas? I looked on your channel and I can't find the description of it anywhere. Would love to know. Thanks for the ideas! You are very talented :)
Hello! I use Milanote for general planning and moodboarding, which is free. For 2D mockups I use Sketch, it's an app that I already use for work in UXUI but the licence is pricey. I know there are some free 2D planners out there, you could just try doing a google search ☺️
I love this video 😍
I love the fact that you're showing us the hacks instead of just talking about it!
I learn by watching and reading, I cannot concentrate by listening at all 🥹
This so relatable. I dislike those videos where they just talk more than doing it
😢Yay, so agree!

I am just so impressed with your ability to think outside the box and see uses for these furniture pieces for something way beyond what they were designed for.
This is by far the best IKEA hacks video I’ve EVER watched. And I watched A LOT!
The printed details at the beginning of each project is brilliant and very easy to follow and/or tweak to anyone’s liking.
For a month, I was searching for a good specific size IKEA kitchen island to use in a walk-in closet and voila!
I think this is the best tweakable island I’ve found 😍
Thank you so much for the amazing ideas ❤
These are the best IKEA hacks I’ve seen by a million miles! Beautifully filmed as well 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
You CAN'T IMAGINE how happy I am finding you!!! I'm located in Belarus, not all Ikea's things are available here, but during watching I was like "Well, I know where I can find smth similar, WTF IDEA WITH EKET IS SO GOOD!!!" Thank you veryveryvery much for inspo!
ikea was my first love as a kid :) this brough me so much joy! love your editing as well - absolutely beautiful as a storytelling medium.
🥰 Your comment means a lot to me, thank you!
This is the best channel EVER!! It’s great info without the chatty annoying extra! It’s DIY ASMR.
Thank you 🎉🎉🎉🎉
The Besta bench with the shiplap is my favourite. I don't have a place for one, but will definitely keep it in mind!
WOW the macrame on the lamp chord is brilliant!
Love it!
I’ve been an IKEA fan and amateur hacker for years. I love the things you do: so lovely and creative! Thanks so much for sharing with us!
It’s 3 AM where I am. I want to watch, but I will have to wait for morning. 😭
This has to be my favourite 'hack' video of all time. Absolutely outstanding! 😃
I subscribed immediately. I LOVE how detailed this video is! You have all this new-age aesthetic music and filters and backgrounds and all the things I've been seeing on hack videos lol which is cute. But, the "hacks" you're showing are actually substantial changes that you can make in your house - and VERY well done. No shortcuts, no slapping things together that you otherwise wouldn't use if it weren't for the video. You worked so hard and put so much effort in every hack. I just loved everything about this. THIS is what "hack" videos should be.
Thank you so much for sharing these ideas with us!!!!!
That was actually useful. Practical yet aesthetic, not just putting random things together "because you can". I liked the basket under the hanging night table, and that the night table had so many drawers. In the end this is the most functional thing for next to the bed that I have seen, now I understand why my current night stand is useless!
Don't know why I'm watching this. I don't have any power tools or anyplace to have a workshop like this.
Hmmm..that moppe nightstand might be a new addition to my house soon, thats gorgeous and practical, thanks for the inspo🥰
Смотрю видео всего 4 минуты,но я уже в восторге от твоих золотых и аккуратных рук❤ прекрасно
👊🏻👊🏻😊
your videos are so inspiring and comforting 🫶🏻 🥰
You guys are amazing. Thanks for showing us even the little things because sometimes Ikea instructions are hard to follow using them the first time. You have a beautiful home. Thanks for sharing.
I remember the first time building an Ikea kitchen unit and I almost cried because it was so difficult! 😅
A suggestion for the gorgeous Besta Bench Nook: if the board that covers the 2x4 base was cut to fit the full space, rather than just fitting under the Besta unit, the extra space on each side could also be used for storage.
Yes, that was such an afterthought 😫 After finishing the project I ended up cutting 2 more small panels to put on the sides 😂
Very satisfying and the functionality of each and every one is unique....to your home...your colours. Great transformations....😊
This is very clever and I adore how you see different uses for these objects! Very interesting!
Yay! New CloudyHills video 😊 Just wanted to say how inspirational I find your videos - so much so that I've finally got round to starting my own TH-cam channel! Thank you so much Hillary! 🥰
It's wonderful no matter how many times you watch it.🥰 I love it💕
hehe ❤️
It's interesting that a lot of these items I cannot find in Ikea like eg.Moppe chest (there is only mini chest which is 18 cm deep - not good for bed side table), or Platsa box (I don't know - nonexistent) but Billy and Besta is there of course for as long as I remember. Very inspiring video, thank you but so often you need all this equipment.
I really love watching all your videos. 🥰 They're calming 😌😌
I love everything you do - very inspiring and creative. I have used some ikea pieces to update my pantry and my personal closet - but you take everything to the next level. ❤️
You are a creative genius ❤
Fantastic! I have been wanting to transform my entryway and kitchen. Your examples answered a lot of questions I've had. Thanks ❤
I watched 1 minute and that was more than enough to know your content was more than a thousand times worth subscribing to!! 😍⭐️
قناتك عبارة عن سعادة وانتعاش
احب كل اعمالك ❤️
You're so sweet ❤️
Congratulations on your 3 years for the youtube videos❤
I like your spaces all around with the Ikea hacks😊
Wow, you are incredible, i wish i had just 1% of your talent. Thank you for sharing your projects with us
Thank you, but I just wanna say it's just all about practice and trial and error when it comes to DIY! Anyone can do it honestly ☺️
All your projects are stunning!
🫶🏻
Love your thoughts and ideas to change this beautiful furniture ❤
I am so proud of you! You are an exceptionally talented young woman! Thank you for your fabulous ideas.
Amazing…love what you do, great variety of tools you have…I’m jealous 😊
Amazingly well done video, and amazing tips once again!thanks for the hard work cloudyhills💕
Seu bom gosto nas cores e nos acabamentos são incríveis!!! Uma grande inspiração pra mim ❤
I'm so happy to hear!
You are brilliant! So relaxing just watching your videos
Your lamp is maybe my favorite!!!🎉
🥹 That was one of my first ever DIYs so it means a lot!
Where is the gold lamp from? It's so beautiful! And I love all the diys that you did! Never disappoint.
H&M Home 😊 rstyle.me/+qwNmPwd1GJC8qEK27Ls2zg
Love all your diy tools! Such a good finish on your projects x
This is inspiring how much you've learnt. Thank you for sharing!
So einen wunderbares handwerkliches Geschick und was für ein hervorragender Geschmack, die Gegenstände "aufzuhübschen"❤ ❤❤❤
This was great! There were a couple of projects I hadn’t seen before, thanks for the compilation 😊
Beautiful! You are very good at what you do. You seem comfortable around power tools, you have an eye for design and make everything look so easy! I love them all, and esp the wardrobe turned wall divider! Ingenius!
New subscriber! Can't wait to see what you fo next! Will go back and review older videos.
Have a blessed day and a fabulous weekend!!
Wow!! You go girl!! You are my new Super Hero!!!!
Divno❤
Svaka čast mlada ženo.
Veliki pozdrav iz Srbije
❤️❤️❤️
I painted my shoe cabinet anthracite grey and ended up hating it too :') Very creative DIY's. Gave me some food to think about my own projects.
I was referring to your filing cabinet, not your shoe cabinet which looks lovely.
It ended up looking way more navy blue than a dark grey 😢 I love the beige much more now!
Just amazing. Ty
These are some of the best IKEA hacks i have ever seen! I will try some. I prefer not to drill holes in the wall so i may add legs to some of the pieces.
Yes, you do you!! I have a hard time finding nice furniture legs, that's why most of them are hung 😂
I’m not a carpenter but I work for a builder. I’ve heard that it is not a good idea to wear gloves when using a saw because the glove can get caught and you can get hurt. You are so precise and careful though. Good work!
Yes, thank you! Someone who went to woodworking school also pointed this out to me and I've stopped wearing gloves ever since 😄
❤❤❤❤ EVERYTHING U r making!!!
You‘re such an artist 🥰 Everything in this video looks so pretty and seems easy to follow thanks to your instructions. I quickly corrected that I wasn’t already subscribed too, thank you for these videos :)
Thank you so much for this amazing video! So helpful and inspirational! ❤❤
I love EVERYTHING you’ve done here❣️
You are so incredibly creative! Wonderful ❤❤❤
Lovely compilation 😍
Wow! Tout cela est magnifique! Vous êtes très impressionants!
Amazing! I need lessons like this on all my stuff !
These look amazing! Well done 🫶
Thank you 🫶🏻
These are very clever. I’ve definitely got a couple of ideas after watching this. Thanks
Waouh ! Ingénieux et élégant ! Félicitations !
🌸🌸🌸
🥰🥰
Amazing hacks. Thank you. ❤
I love your channel and your creativity so much! Do you have any videos on how you manage and store all your tools / equipment in a small space? I would love to do what you do, but it seems so difficult living in an apartment. I feel like you might have a clever solution!
If you have a spare room, I maximised the vertical space in my little room where I do my DIYs ☺️ th-cam.com/video/Oa6wiUkLfZg/w-d-xo.html
This one is on making the organization more efficient and my favourite diy tools for beginners th-cam.com/video/sj4gFtkXQsc/w-d-xo.html
@@cloudyhills Thank you so much! I don't have a spare room sadly, but I'm sure you have some handy tips in these videos 💛 love your work!
Love this video - you are so creative !
I like the warm beige better than the grey!
Love your compilation , I’d love to know where you got you cut lamp with the pleated shade.❤️
H&M 😊 rstyle.me/+qwNmPwd1GJC8qEK27Ls2zg
Amazing thank you for sharing!
Watching your work is soothing to my heart and soul. Thank you @cloudyhills!
sei una meraviglia ❤
Perfeito tudo ❤
I love it, any new video from you makes me so excited! I have a question about painting the IKEA furniture, especially the ones that come with a „glossy” finish like Platsa. I watched tons of videos with people painting the IKEA furniture and people complained that without using the right primer, the paint can go off if scratched. In your experience, did the chalk paint + top coat combo turn out to be a solid solution to it? 😊
For chalk paint, it definitely does scratch off very easily on its own, but with the top coat (Klarlack or Möbelwachs) it's so so durable.
For other projects where I did NOT add a top coat, I sanded the laminated surfaces with a power sander with 180-grit and then used only LACK (specifically, I like Alpina Feine Farben Edelmatter Lack). I still have zero scratches or chips after almost 2 years!
@@cloudyhills lovely, thank you so much for taking your time to answer me this quick 😊 All the best from Poland!
So many great ideas. Wow. I wonder where did you buy the legs for the worktable #3? I searched for a long time for such posts in Germany. Could not find some at Bauhaus or Obi r even amazon. Only boring ones. I often think, there are much better options in the US when watching DIY Videos from there. Thank you for the great and calm content. I always enjoy it.
I found those affordable ones from Hagebaumarkt 😊 They are from the brand Dieda. And I totally agree, American hardware stores seem to carry so much more interesting stuff 🥹
Amazing video! Love all the ideas:) May I ask what furniture piece that is in the beginning? Where you are sitting at the table. In Germany we call it „Wandschrank“;) I love how it‘s both open and closed. And the color is so wonderfully warm.🙏🏼
I saw that you also commented on the video where I showed it! Hehe, we're totally in love with it
Some great ones here ❤
GREAT!!!
Where did you get that flip clock? I love your hacks!!!
Here :) amzn.to/3uPrIIb
Danke❤❤❤, wie schön
You have realy good Idears.....thank you from Munich
Beautiful!
oh noooo 😢
Canale meraviglioso ❤complimenti di vero cuore 😊
Me ha encantado el vídeo ❤
Brilliant!
Great ideas, thank you so much!! What app or program are you using at 2:11 to make notes and work with your ideas? Thank you very much!
Milanote! I love it and it's free to use - milanote.com/cloudyhills0224
CAN I ASK, WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO DO ALL OF YR WOODWORKING SKILLS?
YR VERY TALENTED & I LOVE ALL OF YR EQUIPMENT.
THANK YOU FOR SHARING YR EXCELLENT HACKS. ✌🏼😊 🇬🇧
I had some exposure to tools and equipments in uni when I did industrial design, and the rest is all from youtube :)
Love ❤ thank you for cool video 🎉
Beautiful creations, I admire your creativity and the amount of tools you have for these projects. One thing to note tho, take inspiration from the creator of this video and do not use BESTA frames for sitting without a proper support - as they are not made for heavy loads. Or you can opt to use the METOD range with 8cm legs instead. As an alternative to the DIY boards I can recommend the RÖDEBY armrest tray as well.
I converted a pedestal CD tower into a nightstand. I’ll keep this in mind for future.
Are the shelves the same wood material? And how did you attach them to the wall? Thanks :)
They're oak, I showed them here

Hello vraiment tout d’abord « BRAVO »!
Et encore merci pour ces jolies idées ..
Belle soirée
New Subcriber here thank you for sharing,Godbless
Does the paint last without priming it? I wanted to revamp some of my IKEA items with paint but wondering if I can skip it to save money 😅
Are you from Germany? Here we have a specialised paint called "Lack" that we can simply paint over Ikea furniture if we give it a rough sand before. But if not, you definitely have to prime! The paint will not stick on the laminated furniture.
Bravo👍👍❤
Great ideas ❤. But not for those of us who don’t have workbenches & a closet full of power tools at hand!! (Not the avail cash to go out & buy all of that stuff req to make built in/changed up furniture!!) & all those varnishes & paints etc..hmm, yeah they all also cost extra cash.. 🤔 I’ve plenty time but plenty spare cash.. (shame as some of your ideas I’d love in my home)
Thanks for sharing 🌸🌼🌺
Just wanted to say that there are hacks in there that you can totally do without powertools ❤️ And, I did a lot of those hacks when I only had 1 small work table and 1 circular saw - It's a little investment that can go a long way!
Want to buy something from Ikea now!!!
