I love the "flight risk" assessment. Apparently the 'employees' are really prisoners. Also, she should be fired. She brewed a cup of espresso, only took one swallow, then left a half full cup on the counter for someone else to clean up.

Wow, looks great, but I realize most people feel HR officers do not care about them. Even in the video, she did not address people individually, mostly in group or via technology. As a INFJ, I am empathic to the needs or feelings of others and believe in taking responsibility for those whom give you there trust. I hope I can make it to the HR management stage.
im an INFJ too!! Ive been wondering if I would be a good fit for HR. I like helping ppl but i want to make decent money so dont want to do social work or teaching. Ive been googling everything about INFJs and jobs.

this may sound crazy, but I'm an INTJ and I want to get into this field and try to make a change.
I'm an ISFJ and after going back and forth, I've settled on this career as well. Though I suppose I should prepare to be hated, judging by the comments. I really do care about taking care of employees and I want to get into whatever company I end up with and make a difference as well. I think introverts are well suited for a career like this

The name change from 'Personel' to 'Human Resources' signaled a new era of aggression from the ruling class towards the working class. As the term implies, being human means you have little intrinsic value or worth, but instead you are considered a 'resource', something to be callously used up (and disposed of later) like iron ore. Along with the name change arrived a new ideology: for job applicants a raft of unnecessary hoops to jump through and humiliating, wasteful events newly coined 'team building exercises'. The HR staff usually had a similar look (spiky hair, dark suits with sticking out white shirt collars, germanic style glasses and a crocodile smile that betrayed the enjoyment they derived from the power they wielded over the desperate and vulnerable. I once met someone who witnessed the UK Civil Service HR department arbitrarily discard every 5th job application form in a pile of application forms in order to whittle down the number. Bearing in mind these forms can take many days to complete. This is why I hate HR.

Diversity & Inclusion helps immensely in the U.S. as a strategy to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. What is done to build an environment of inclusion across Australia?

I bet she handles other knobs in her working day....
Hologram technology is so unnecessary, but I can imagine stupid business leaders will buy into it because of claims it will increase productivity. It's like when schools tried to switch up books and paper for iPads - a catastrophic failure. Touch screen devices are perfectly fine for browsing, but any kind of work that involves long periods of typing will be done 10x faster on a real physical device with haptic feedback. And although Kindles are fine for reading, extended reading on a bright iPad will cause eye-strain.
I laughed when the HR lady wanted to show her colleague the graph on her computer screen, and instead of just turning her screen around or bringing him to the other side of the desk, she pulled up a blurry holograph instead. So redundant.
Great comment Gary Buck, you are clearly frustrated by the HR support your are getting from your employer, might help if you enhanced your career opportunities and aimed to work for a better employer who provides greater HR support. Stating that "HR people are parasites and should be put down at birth" isn't a very clever statement, think outside the box and at least offer some constructive criticism to the HR environment...
