My dad had two canaries in the 60s and 70s. He would constantly play music for them. The male Steve learned Blue Velvet by Bobby Vinton perfectly. We had to listen to it for weeks over and over but in the end Steve did such a perfect rendition that it was nice. It also helped that the birds and the tape player were in the good parlor with both doors closed.😊

I own birds that like to sing. It's annoying at first, but after a year or so it starts to really grow on you. Also your brain filters it out after awhile.
We had a cockatiel when I was growing up and he was the funniest thing. It's hilarious how they can copy noises, sounds, other animals, people. Oh, and weird fact: His favorite show was Mr. Ed.
Incredible to realize he probably picked this up from a more complex arrangement, and his little parrot brain had no trouble identifying the more distinctive notes of the melody while ignoring all the other stuff he couldn’t replicate.

I own birds that like to sing. It's annoying at first, but after a year or so it starts to really grow on you. Also your brain filters it out after awhile.

We had a cockatiel when I was growing up and he was the funniest thing. It's hilarious how they can copy noises, sounds, other animals, people.

Incredible to realize he probably picked this up from a more complex arrangement, and his little parrot brain had no trouble identifying the more distinctive notes of the melody while ignoring all the other stuff he couldn’t replicate.
Jonathan Dickert he just sings the parts that he likes the most, those parts are really the most likeables.
