Every other youtube video on this topic is 'how to make fancy pants train stations...' but without any details on how to properly build the fundimental TRAIN TRACKS! omg! This video was SOOOO HELPFUL! 🎉 Learning how to get the tracks down in a reasonable and scaleable way is the hardest part of this learning curve and you've helped me so much! This is the truest train tutorial! Thank you so much!
The Path Signals work, by finding a path through an intersection and reserve it, if another train aproaches another Path Signal of the intersection it will also find a path. If the Paths dont cross each other both trains can go at the same time, if they do cross one train has to wait. To build a intersection with Path Signals you need to place one on each entrance into your intersection and on every exit place an normal Block Signal. 🚂🚂
😮 im trying so hard to get enthusiastic about playing again.. kinda got to a stage where i find it hard to double click the icon.. tbf, i did almost explicitly play this game for 1200hr. Guess i got burned... but your builds... def stir the hunger again.. awesome as always my man
I want to thank you for this excellent guide you have done. That's covering all what I need to do presently. Just perfect. Working on the blueprint myself I've been able to avoid to have the visual issue you were talking about and which you were resolving using plate. You need to bluid on EACH side a small concrete pillar external to the fundation and only from there build the smal concrete pillar overthe fundation. If you do it only on one side and extend 2 on the fundation than on the second one appear the issue. Hope you will see this message and that is can help others also.
Path signals are great. They are auto-routing allowing multiple trains to use a junction without collisions. Just place a path signal on all tracks entering the junction and block signals on all tracks exiting the junction. A.I. will take care of everything else 👍🏻
This was a really good video for infrastructure blueprints. Doesn't need to be extravagant to look really nice, and you should keep focus on actual usability out in the world. I'm going to model a set of prints off what you've done here. I appreciate the inspiration!
It is so much easier for me to design roundabouts in Autocad. I am going to have to rewatch this though, I was distracted working ...hahaha Great job though!
A better way than building a roundabout for trains (lol) is to learn and understand the path signals. I don't even require double tracks, I just utilize path signals and have 4 different trains use it in both directions. The path signals at the entry points to that single track "talk to eachother" letting me achieve that.
awesome video, i wish that you had a video how you made the blueprint for the base foundation of your roundabout. you dont share your blueprints do you?
Thank you, I have like 1 shared blueprint only cuz my last discord is gone that I had a bunch of them. But when 1.0 comes out I will be sharing all of them.
Did they change something with the last updates? I build the same spacers like shown in this video but when connecting the track with the middle of the first raised 1m ramp the tracks are crooked. The curve looks like it's seperated in 4 track parts and each curve part is slightly twisted to the left to each other. I checked the spacings, they seem identical to the ones in the video.
Really cool simplistic design. I really like how you can quickly put up a train line. But if you want to know how to use blockers and path signals hit me up.
why dont you build a bigger roundabout with 16 legs instead of 8, so you can have your connections the way you want and also have a little more space on the roundabout itself for longer trains. also, after your helixes, i think it would look cool if you were to build some sort of constructions, maybe those pillars even, on the rocks on the sides and use cables and wall outlets, or beams even, to sort of suspend the train platform blueprint you made.
Interesting. Definitely going to play around with it more. As for the bigger roundabout I like the condensed version just cuz it is smole and easy to work with. But a bigger one would be better in some instances
Seems like a blueprint showoff guide but there's not a link to the blueprints or a tutorial to make them. The round about and posts are cooler than mine I wanted to dl them
@DrawingXaos kinda already spent the last 3 hours replicating/using the theory behind it on my own xP the roundabout was a pain lol now to figure out how I'm going to utilize these to get out of the crater thanks though, I'll have to join your discord later and see what other cool stuff you got going on. I'm not social so I don't usually join discords
@@jacobbalcer3329 no worries, i got some maps for people to look at and play in but we arnt very social on there, just a nice place to put things like blue prints and maps i found. im just glad you got what you needed.

interesting, i like it. Trains have always been fun in this game, jus a bit harder to simplify for most people, like the Uranium/Plutonium stuff.
I wish I found this video before I started my train network - it's the best practical guide for simply laying track between supports!
Thanks. and still works after 1.0.
thx for the spiral. Helped me a lot :)
always happy to help.
Excellent guide with a ton of great tips. I love doing trains and you showed me some things I did not know thanks a lot!
thanks, trains are fun, i just wish i had more time to play around with them.

😆 🤣 yeah I feel that. You should do some creative builds like make a prison or something. Nothing to fancy but smole and fun.

I´m in love with your video
Thank you, I really appreciate that.

nice, i need to try that out and see how it goes... just needs a few dozen trains up and running to see it fully in action.
I REALLY need to use blueprints more. Awesome stuff!
Thanks
Come on what are odds. Few months ago i have been doing really similiar train system in Create Mod for Minecraft. :DDD Looking really nice :D
Lol yeah feels like trains are a big thing right now.
Nice, made it easy to understand block signals, thanks. You thought about using the extra large blueprint mod?
Thank you. Though about it, but don't mind the blueprint size just yet. I do a lot custom work so I keep my blueprint amount down.
This was a really good video for infrastructure blueprints. Doesn't need to be extravagant to look really nice, and you should keep focus on actual usability out in the world.
I'm going to model a set of prints off what you've done here. I appreciate the inspiration!
thanks, cant wait to see how it comes out.
Man I wish blue prints were a thing when i built my train network. Some nice stuff for my next play through tho
Thanks, yeah last time I made trains without blueprints it was a massive undertaking
It is so much easier for me to design roundabouts in Autocad. I am going to have to rewatch this though, I was distracted working ...hahaha Great job though!
Thanks and I know what you mean, Autocad is amazing.

neat, that sounds very efficient
4 trains? I'd like to see that setup with 50+ trains

Do you never use intersections? Are roundabouts always better?
Roundabouts are king. gives your trains spots to turn around and intersections at the same time.

could have, they mess up a lot of my designs with updates, like when i made a compact coal generator building
Really cool simplistic design. I really like how you can quickly put up a train line.
But if you want to know how to use blockers and path signals hit me up.
thanks, yeah i like how it just fits fine and not to complicated. some look way to over built
okey,i belive you know everthing about satisfactory train
i am like 95% sure they are trains.
Except how path signals work
Nice tips. Imagine in vanilla without flying 😅
Spooky. But when 1.0 hits I will have to live it.

Can u send bps at u used in video?
bps?

the blueprint is available to download in the discord if you really want it.

Cap it with those huge statues!
lol nice.
What did you just say? That you are going to share the blueprints?...;)
lol, if only i had a discord to post them.
i understand some people people like it. but can you please just hurry up?
lol fair.
