    Great video. I upgraded from the a6600 and I think a used a6600 is better bang for buck if you're looking to buy either one of these. Particularly if you only need 4k24p. And I'm not sure if it's worth the upgrade from the a6600 though. I like new and shiny things so I bought it and there are some great upgrades, but did I *need* to upgrade? Probably not.
    Additional note on overheating. The a6600 is MUCH better when you need to do 4K streaming or long form recording with a monitor hooked up via HDMI. I've gone for a few hours streaming with it, but on the a6700 it shuts down after about 1 hour of USB C streaming. It will also overheat after 1hr when long form recording at 4k24p with monitor attached. A small fan blowing on the a6700 helps a lot and Ulanzi has a fan attachment coming out soon.

    Wish you compared the quality of the 1080P video for both cameras. The A6000 series of cameras are notorious for having soft 1080P. I’m wondering if they fixed it.

    So long as you're saving settings for photo and video, you can also assign functions to the record button and in video, set the shutter to start recording.

    Totally off topic, but maybe when you mention these long tricky combinations of letters, symbols and numbers (like 4:2:2 10 bit xavc-i) that you also put them in writing on the screen as you say them if you could do so in the future maybe? I'm not a professional when it comes to cameras and also english isn't my first language, so I would have to go back and listen a couple times to grasp what is being said because it's spoken really fast

    I was using A6400 and used it for occasional video, but mainly photos. The videos taken were mostly unusable. The Jello effect on it was horrible, And I don't want to carry a gimbal because of the added weight. Even though A6600 has IBIS, the Jello effect is also horrible there. In that regard, the A6700 is a nice upgrade because of the reduced rolling shutter.

    • @thefilmalliance
      @thefilmalliance  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think it all depends on the user and what they’re using it for. I know about that awful jelly effect. If your on a gimbal it would remove that mostly

      Hi,
      Is the jelly effects prominent in normal cinematic style videos too? In a6400/a6600? Won't use it for vlogging, but mostly for cinematic videos, so was having doubt which one to buy.
      A6700 is way much expensive.
