I wish more people would be kind towards the hard working blue collar men that keep our society operating. I live on a rural farm and tradesmen or delivery men love to come to my farm and I get the best service because I’m kind, it’s a long way out here so I offer them food and drink, bathroom, etc, many take their lunch breaks here because it is quite, peaceful and welcoming. If I take my vehicle to the shop I brink donuts. Of course everyone that visits my farm leave with a dozen fresh farm eggs! It doesn’t take much to make a difference.
The guy in the warehouse said he "had been doing this for years" (I can't remember exactly the number he said, 25 or 30) but he didn't know what a pallet jack was. I've never worked remotely close to a warehouse my entire adult life, and I know what a pallet jack is. Also. I normally keep comments like this to myself, but being a bit of a fat guy myself I feel I'm allowed - Skinny jeans on a fat guy doesn't look as good as you think it does. Picture a candy apple but instead of 1 popsicle stick it has 2. Yeah, that's what we look like.
Anyone with a business with a warehouse without a pallet jack or fork lift is operating a suspect business. I have truck deliveries of farm supplies delivered all the time and guess what? I know they only drop curbside so I have forks on my tractor to move materials wherever I need them. This guy acts like an an apartment dweller getting a bed delivered.
I guess you've your rules you work to but for me it's nonsense. The time you were stopped arguing with the customer you could have placed them in the corner of the warehouse near the door no bother. The carbon monoxide excuse with a big open door is just nonsense, I work a diesel telescopic in a big shed about that size with no bother.
Your right it would have taken less time. I don't know if you heard in the video but I did the same delivery outside a few days before that. And he said he orders from us frequently. So that 1 argument in the long run will actually save me time and a potential insurance claim. Not just for me but the other guys on my team
Couldn’t you just have easily set it down inside the building without entering the building through the rollup door using your forks? No carbon monoxide inside makes it easy for everybody
Yeah I do that all the time but he wanted it all the way to the front of the warehouse inside. They actually make a electric Moffett now I've seen since I made this video. I got my a$$ chewed in Vegas for going inside by an OSHA guy at the Mandalay Bay.
We are required to have 10 pallet spaces available for the routing of our day. We are contracted to do curbside delivery. If they wanted us to carry a pallet jack and be able to take less pallets to a customer then we would do that. It's not up to me.
you're telling me he's got a whole warehouse and no pallet jack or forklift?? seems like he wants extra stuff for no extra money to me.
Apparently he's been doing it for 30 years without one...
$250 from Harbor Freight... what a cheap ass.
Blows me away he doesn't have a mini skid steer and a set of forks.. how do they move plantings and that much dirt!!?

He doesn’t know what a pallet jack is, yet claims to know about how deliveries have always been done.. stinks a bit
How come you guys don't just haul a pallet jack with you to avoid these scenarios?
Imagine having one of those with you, thats extra weight in the truck when they are already loaded close to the max.

He’s a barebones business owner with inadequate equipment to facilitate daily operations. Who’s he kidding ?
customers are always the same the last guy did it you've always done it before
The driver is a lazy prick,put firist,then push w/2nd pallet,then repeat,will slide on concrete,done it a 100times
wow... someone upset others have a successful business while they're stuck delivering soil...
That guy had two locations. We are in 3 states with a fleet covering most of the southwest.. Paid off my cars and boat delivering soil.
@@moffett.flatbed.training yup, this is and was all about you. thanks for proving my point.
The point of the videos are to train new hires on SOP. But I'm happy it helped you prove a point to.
