You found some amazing items! That pottery dish with the intricate design while being somewhat "clunky" was awesome! I'm so glad you got it! Watching you thrift was almost like watching Laura and then I saw your beautiful displays of artwork, pottery etc! Just like Laura! I LOVE that because it's great inspiration for our homes! :)
Great video, Andi. Loved you taking us along as you were sourcing (that is always my most favorite part). You found some terrific pieces, the pottery especially. And love the little sardine water color you did. Would love to see the other ones you did on vacation, too. Please be sure to share when you find the frames for them! 🌸
The utensil holder pottery is so pretty, it looks like a tree landscape to me. And I liked that wood treasure chest box, very cool! Also, your lil sardine painting was really cute 😊 and you don’t look even close to 65, not even 40 for that matter. I’m 38, we’re still young & fun, girl!!! 😁
Hi!! Could you please film a video about how you organize your items in your studio? I have an office space for all my reselling and am getting so overwhelmed and would love any storage tips you have!!!!
If you have the Ooba Tooba granite counter, it's actually green and not black. I paired mine with a copper sink and copper accents and it brought out the green. This is one of the most common 'black' granite colors from early 2000-ish. I had no idea until the designer who helped me do my kitchen showed me the color....Love your channel!
In Laura Caldwell's video from a day ago she also say/found a wood bird like the one you first saw that was lying down until you realized it should be standing. The one Laura saw was $36, so you scored.
Those wood blocks that you were thinking about repurposing are actually stands for porcelain birds by Andrea by Sadek and they have value on their own - they can sell between $15-$30 depending on the size and shape. Those were good ones because they were so nice.
How do you pass up such pretty Myrtlewood? Also, the hooks on the bell are where the gong rests. That's how the bell rings. We used to have one like that. :) Edit: I watched further on and you did learn this. Also, yay! You added your initials to your art! Just as you should. Future people can now research who YOU were, just as you do now. Full circle.
Chips are easy to fill. I take spackle to fill the chip. Next day smooth rough spots. Paint then if glossy, top with clear nail polish. I save many charming items. I disclose and price accordingly. Love your channel
The oval wood pieces are risers/bases to display either a ceramic vase or decorative piece. Great for other things, maybe a mini little town at Xmas and other holidays. Cluster candle holders, special pieces, etc on them but its easier to use a regular frame for needlework pieces. Made in Korea is usually 1980's/early 90's. Love all the studio ceramic pieces. Id have grabbed those little houses too. Love those things. The amber wavy glass arent drinking glasses, they are probably for celery. One for each end of the table. They can easily be used as vases since the flowers will fall beautifully in all the nooks of the wavy top. I can see them with a fall/Halloween theme or pretty spring and summer blooms. Nice glasses in a popular color! I adore your sardine painting...sardines are having a moment for some reason. Ir love to buy either that sardine piece or another if you would sell one. Seriously, I would love to have one of them so please consider it. PLEASE!!!!!🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
I will keep you in mind if I ever decide to sell the fish! ;) I'm actually planning to paint a few and try to sell them. ;) Also, thanks for the info on Made in Korea - so helpful!
Your comment reminded me of one of my go-to solutions to spruce up dull-looking wooden picture frames: I use Kiwi (or any brand of SHOE POLISH in a tin) and go over the wood a couple of times with the polish on a soft cotton rag. You can do frames in blond wood or lots of different shades of dark wood using Neutral or Brown. The shoe polish will camouflage light scratches and dings and minor blemishes - they just disappear! Buff the frame with your cloth, and the polish won't transfer from the frame to anything else.
The hooks on the brass bell are for a small mallet that would be used to ring the bell. And those Amber glasses are not glasses they are vases. They remind me of a purple vase that my mother got back in the 1950s.
If it helps at all, I was figuring you for early 30’s. I think the cashiers sometimes go on ‘auto pilot’ and just start saying the same thing to every customer. The employees at my main GW are some of the saddest, most frustrated people I have ever met. It’s very sad how some of them get treated, and that can affect their performance on the job. 😊
you have online store and a booth and work and have a son. how do you do it all? i'm thinking of doing an etsy shop and your info is fantastic! i follow laura caldwell as well and found you through her :)
16:42 called a "Valet" and very "out of style" (a LOT of men do NOT wear suits to work anymore like they did in the 1950s ) . BUT it would be good if you're photographing CLOTHES for ebay photos .
The first couple of times I was offered a senior discount I was offended, and then I decided if they were going to deign to offer, I was going to say yes! 😂 Also - I think their “senior” threshold is 55 not 65. 😉
I would have bought the Roku. It looked like it just needed wiped off. Those two things that were oval that you didn't know what it is? You bought the light colored one. I think it is one of those things that the glass cover goes over.
Hello I’m trying to find how to buy from u can u please help me not real sure how to do it u said u sell on Etsy how else can I purchase from u please let me know their was a few things I would love to buy from u Lisa thanks for your help
Are you strictly a reseller or do you buy things for yourself? What cities do you mostly shop in? I am not a reseller but only shop at thrift stores when they have senior citizen discounts as I am on a super fixed income and don't even have a car or a Smartphone. I take the bus to thrift stores. P.S. (Some) thrift stores, as some senior citizen apts, ,consider 55 + age to be considered a senior citizen age (instead of 65.) Depends on the thrift store though. Some consider 60 or 62 years old to be a ""senior citizen."
I buy for myself too. I try and buy secondhand before I go to somewhere like Target or the mall. Portland, OR has some of the best vintage shopping in the country so I tend to just shop locally.
My goodness, my intention was to certainly not slam older folks. I’m simply saying how I don’t want to look decades older than my age. That’s a pretty normal thing.
Use rub’n’buff on the mini candleholders instead of spray paint!
You found some amazing items! That pottery dish with the intricate design while being somewhat "clunky" was awesome! I'm so glad you got it! Thank you!! Laura is who inspired me to start a channel. I loved her videos so much and wanted to give it a try. :)
@@AllPutTogether Well, you're rocking it! :D
The Andrea by Sadek wood bases are for porcelain pieces figurines etc
This is the first time watching, I love your style!
Thanks so much!!
wavy amber glass are fro serving celery at a large dinner. one on each side of table, water at the bottom to keep celery crisp.
Really?
@@jdmgraphic Me too never knew that! Awesome!
We had celery at every meal in a celery glass. I just remembered that. Thanks for the memory
They looked like vases to me. Celery would get stuck in smaller waves….
Fenton vases if I’m not mistaken….
Don’t take it personally, sometimes GWs give senior discounts automatically. Say yes and take the discount!
It's 55 in ga and I'm wearing it like a badge !!!
I’m in South Georgia and , they don’t give a senior discount. I did get a senior discount at an Augusta, Ga Goodwill.😊. Are you from around Atlanta?
I love seeing you pick up all the pottery! I’m a potter and I use stoneware so it makes me really happy! Great finds!!
The amber glass vases, not glasses, and I believe are fenton!!! They have some value!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
Next time I will snag them!
Love that Roku vase!

Your sardines painting is simply charming!
What made you think to paint 3 SARDINES, of all things?!? 😊
So cute!
I will! I really need to do a video where I show all my art framed. It's on my list! :)
Haha I think social media has influenced me!

I love the little sardine picture!!!!! So adorable!
Thank you!
Hi!! Could you please film a video about how you organize your items in your studio? I have an office space for all my reselling and am getting so overwhelmed and would love any storage tips you have!!!!
Yeah, me too!
Haha - if only I was organized!! I do need to do a tidy up, so maybe that will motivate me to get a system lol.
Always love your finds! Also, that still life on your kitchen gallery wall is stunning!! 💙
Yes!
I was also admiring it. ❤
Not only do you not look 65, you don’t look 40. The utensil holder has amazing glaze. It looks like a landscape almost.
The English house figurines are so sweet!
My goodness! You scored today and straight away! Don’t you love it when that happens! Can’t wait to watch the rest!! Love from Canberra, Australia ❤
Cute sardine painting😊
I love your mini sardine painting, your artistic style is so cute!
Thank you so much 😀
Use “rub and buff” on the mini candlesticks instead of spray paint, it gives them a beautiful patina
Great idea!
I went to 5 Goodwills today and got 50% off for seniors!!!
50%!!!! That's so lucky!
Lol, I think the sun and crazy Goodwill items are making you more amusing than ever! You be you, boo!

I’m so happy I found your channel. You are so fun!!!! ❤
😊 thank you
I almost fell out of my chair on your senior discount encounter. LOL... It's happened to me too, but, we still look YOUNG girl!
One of my local thrift stores gives a 50% discount to “seniors” on Wednesdays. I was so happy to turn 55😂!
@PaperDiva67
Seriously, it's a GREAT perk! Never so happy to be getting older, LOL! 😊
I'm a terrible judge of age - the clerk must be as well.😊
I love mini art too. I live in Italy and have picked up so many beautiful mini paintings!
Am so glad I found your channel, you are fabulous!
Aww thank you!
The jar that put the utensils in you could also use for paint brushes
Love this idea!!
The “hooks” on the brass “bell” are for where the hammer rests to ring it.
Loved everything and I want your fish picture😊
Hey……seniors ROCK! 😉
Haha they do indeed! ;)
Wooden ovals are risers for decorative objects.
In Laura Caldwell's video from a day ago she also say/found a wood bird like the one you first saw that was lying down until you realized it should be standing. The one Laura saw was $36, so you scored.
They are from Bali
OMG I will have to go back and look for it in her video!
Those wood blocks that you were thinking about repurposing are actually stands for porcelain birds by Andrea by Sadek and they have value on their own - they can sell between $15-$30 depending on the size and shape. Those were good ones because they were so nice.

Yes, I totally took your advice and added them! ;)
The bird planter is so cute
That brass piece with the bell in the middle, the hooks are to hold a little mallet to strike the bell.
All the boxes are wonderful. Nice finds...
i do love that mirror

Thanks for the info!
The wooden carved box is from around 1905-1910. I have one that my great uncle made in 1906. It was the rage, at the time.
I love being asked if I get the senior discount! Who cares? It’s a discount.
Thanks for the info!
The hooks are to hold the mallet for ringing the bell.15:25
A brass candlesnuffer could go there in lieu of the striker, hmm?

Goodwill holds back ALL good vintage items -- especially TOYS.
I would keep mirror oh I love it

Why in the world wouldn’t you take the discount???!!!
I LOVE these mugs! 15:59
The amber glass vases are called handkerchief vases. Fenton. 💞💞🙃💞💞
Did she pick them up? Or leave them?
I can't remember!
I thought they were WONDERFUL! Even better to find out they are Fenton! ❤
I left them, but totally regret it now! :(
The sardines are adorable
I absolutely loved the brass pieces , those were good ones.♥️
Love your videos!!
I use brown shoe polish over gold touch up to mute the brightness.

@cheryldavis8776 I love shoe polish on wood. It is just colored wax ...and it can be buffed to a shine just like dad's old shoes.
You definitely outdid yourself this time!I I laughed so hard at your make believe conversation between Prince Harry and the beautiful translater.
What?
I totally missed THAT! Will have to rewatch!
The oval wooden plaques look like the bases of some figurines.
Glitter is eternal😅

Hmmmm first stop. Items were so newish good condition. Our gw would never have 8 items so clean and perfect
You're so funny! ❤ Not that it's much better, but the "senior" discount is usually 55....at least it is down here near Eugene.
I pick up 6 perfect studio pottery goblets they are stunning
Amber glasses are Fenton vases. :)
8:27 it’s cute & different 18:17 very cute - you’re good at doing the repairs too.
My great-great grandmother was born in the Cotswold. Does Chipping sound familiar?
I’ve been to Chipping Camden many times. It’s lovely!
The oval piece of wood are the base for glass dome
Thx!
Great shopping and haul. In ypur first stop, there was a mini Lane cedar chest whete you got the burnt wood pieces. Are you familar with those?
The carved wooden bird is from Bali
Thank you!
Oh my so much to say on the Acrylics. Just bought Gamvar Satin varnish and Golden isolation coating. I’m all in, even if they sell at goodwill for $2.
The wooden bases would have probably been from home interiors and had a porcelain figurine on them!

Haha! See you totally feel my pain. ❤️
Those would rounds are bases and it would have a closh on top....great vid
I think I know to what you are referring, but your comment makes no sense. Are you referring to the brass bell?
@@agomodern The wooden oval pieces are possibly bases for glass cloches.
