courtesy point 1: eating in a thrift shop is like eating in a bathroom… unnecessary and disgusting. Imagine touching all that stuff then touching your food 🤢 Courtesy point 2: shoppers baskets are COMPLETELY off limits. Unfortunately, I had a similar situation happen to me… I can’t imagine having the nerve to take things out of someone else’s cart then yell at them about it… people are crazy!
No, it isn't. If it isn't your cart leave it alone. People park their carts to help make room in the aisle. They are being nice and you are stealing from them. Time is money and looking for good finds at the thrift store or goodwill etc. takes people's time. Stop stealing from people!
No no no eating or touching people’s carts I think that’s why people get sick. Like if you see someone with something on their cart you maybe ask if you can have it but other then that no stay away. Some people are aggressive when you ask for something so no again.
The eating is a no for sanitary reasoms if nothing else. Mice sure, but eating while touching stuff is the worst for both others and yourself. Heck, I wear gloves while thrifting. Every item has been touched by how many hands? Yuck!
No eating or drinking!! GOING THROUGH ANOTHER'S CART IS SO RUDE!! SOMETIMES.THE STORE EMPLOYEE IS RESTOCKING A SHELF FROM A CART. RULE OF. i'm in CT. -You live here too?
Hi Marybeth! I'm in NY, but I go to CT nearly every month to thrift. I just went to the White Elephant Sale in Old Lyme and thrifted near there. It was great!
@@MegantheWild oh i didn't know about that....have you been to the Elephants Trunk flea market on sunday's here in New Milford. Are you able to share some spots for me to check out ?
@@marybetht6997 Elephant Trunk Flea Market is on my list! Have you been to Pandemonium? I went there and really liked it. I filmed it, but I haven't finished the video yet.
@@MegantheWild ohhhh never heard of that one. Where is that 😊

No eating and certainly don't go through other peoples cart, geez.
Then you had every right to go through her cart, right? That's what I would have done. I would have said ok, you shop mine, and I'll shop yours since you haven't checked out either. Who's stuff you think she wanted more yours or her own???
You know what is weird? I don't think she had a cart 🤷♀
I have had a person try and take my whole cart before. People are crazy.
🤦♀
courtesy point 1: eating in a thrift shop is like eating in a bathroom… unnecessary and disgusting. Imagine touching all that stuff then touching your food 🤢
Courtesy point 2: shoppers baskets are COMPLETELY off limits. Unfortunately, I had a similar situation happen to me… I can’t imagine having the nerve to take things out of someone else’s cart then yell at them about it… people are crazy!
I like the idea of a “courtesy point”
I feel if nobody is by the cart its up for grabs.
No, it isn't. If it isn't your cart leave it alone. People park their carts to help make room in the aisle. They are being nice and you are stealing from them. Time is money and looking for good finds at the thrift store or goodwill etc. takes people's time. Stop stealing from people!
Eating is ok if ur sugar drops to low, dont shop out of someones cart, but sometimes people fill a cart then leave it.
That’s a no no in my book. We don’t touch other people’s 🛒
No no no eating or touching people’s carts I think that’s why people get sick. Like if you see someone with something on their cart you maybe ask if you can have it but other then that no stay away. Some people are aggressive when you ask for something so no again.
do you think her name was Karen?
ha!
The eating is a no for sanitary reasoms if nothing else. Mice sure, but eating while touching stuff is the worst for both others and yourself. Heck, I wear gloves while thrifting. Every item has been touched by how many hands? Yuck!
He was eating McDonald's french fries, so grease would get all over the clothes if he touched them. 🤢 It is gross and ruins them.
No eating or drinking!!
GOING THROUGH ANOTHER'S CART IS SO RUDE!!
SOMETIMES.THE STORE EMPLOYEE IS RESTOCKING A SHELF FROM A CART.
RULE OF. THUMB KEEP YOUR CART CLOSE TO YOU.THINK OF YOUR CART AS YOUR GROCERY STORE CART. YOU MADE YOUR SELECTION BUT HAVEN'T CHECKED OUT. SAME RULE FOR OTHER'S CART.
NO DOGS IN THRIFT STORES. NO CHILDREN IF POSSIBLE.
No eating.
If your cart is unattended it is fair game. Don't walk away from it.
No eating and I don’t walk away from my cart because of people like the woman you met.
No eating. Gross.the cart lady is rude and crazy.i wouldn't park my cart at the end of the aisle for that reason.people have no personal boundaries even when they know it's not theirs!
I think I may have learned my lesson when it comes to leaving my cart
I would have said, "okay, help yourself" and as soon as she finished taking what she wanted, I would have gone straight to her cart and taken all of my things AND HERS that I wanted, all while quoting what she said, "it's not yours until you pay for it!" And wink at her as I walk away. #doseofherownmedicine
lol
Just wow! 😠 She is NOT entitled to shop other people’s carts. Can you imagine grocery shopping or anywhere and people shop your cart? Not!!
Rule #1, if your car is NOT in front of you, behind you, or on your side within reach of your hand, it is NOT your car. She was right.
Eating in any store is rude and not appropriate if there’s a cart that’s abandoned just left somewhere can be going through but when you said that it was your card it’s off-limits
Ah, that’s true. People abandon their carts, but I’ve always been too cautious to approach them in case the person comes back.
