Watched Laura Caldwell's video last night so when she and hubby went into Tiny Brambles I was hoping she would show us your space and she did! She said, 'This is Andi's space.' It was nice to know who she was talking about! The space looked great!! Blessings!
The pitcher @ 19:33 I believe is called a Dutch Girl Pitcher/Jug. Don’t know if that piece is vintage but that design goes way back. Blue Ridge Pottery, Shawnee made similar designs. The fact it was signed Mrs Jenkins was really amazing.
The wood guy on the "toilet" looks like a Don Quixote piece. It looks pretty early, maybe 60's and they can have really good value! Some older hot roller sets are worth $$$! I always look them up. The pottery with the hanging loop and stopper is a hummingbird feeder, its just missing the feeding tube and they are easy to replace. Id have grabbed that bamboo cabinet. You can get simple inexpensive feet at any hardware store if you think that will sell it. Id also either paint or wallpaper the inside, you could easily get $140+ for it. I couldnt have passed up that dollhouse, I also adore miniatures and "small" things. I really have an obsession with play food and kitchen things, not the newer stuff (although I still look at it with desire) but the older packaging and food were just so cool !
I definitely feel disappointed when I walk out of Goodwill and have purchased nothing. I do sometimes feel the same pressure, but I’ve decided to give myself a break and do not purchase crap just for the sake of purchasing something. Love your videos! 💕😁👍🏼
Loved the staging at the end! Fabulous styling Andi. I understand the urge to buy something and not leave empty handed. You did the right thing leaving pieces you weren't sure about behind. Getting ready for Belgium too! Hope to see you in Bruges or Brussels! 😊
You styled everything so beautifully!!! Andi..cats sell!!! The sleeping wooden cat with high gloss finish...will sell fast. The wooden decorative plate on the wooden plate holder...may I say say, u are the Designer Queen!!! And Lincoln bust with a beautiful national park painting behind it.... I almost expected President Lincoln to turn around and deeply admire it!!! Your displays often bring me to some happy tears!!! Thank u!!!💞💞🙃💞💞
The styling was beautiful ❤. As far as riding the wave I've been doing that since the 90s, it's definitely a thing. Go with the flow young awesome vintage decor hunter 😊
Loved the end where you styled the haul items! I know that feeling you have of pressure to buy and I'm really trying to ask myself, "would you have this in your own home?" - and if it's no, then I pass.
The doll house!! OMG 😱. When I was a kid we would shop at Old America and they had doll houses like that all along the top shelf around the store. I always wanted one. It was so cool! Loved it.
As a part time re-seller (as income between other self-employment work- and to help fund my own collecting, and because I LUV STUFF) I agree that YES there is pressure to always buy something; especially because I think we have extra hunter-gatherer mojo turned on when we shop...when we are looking at things...we are compelled to look for the "best" thing on the shelves - in the thrift store....and sometimes, if the level of merchandise is "meh", we find the LEAST "meh" thing that seems to have potential, and we want to get it anyway...it stands out from the crowd as "better" but is not truly AWESOME! It takes a huge, huge amount of self discipline to walk away empty handed. You did good. I think it is smart to shop at more than one place per outing to widen the net and to up the chances of finding something AWESOME....but gosh somedays there is a lot of good stuff, and some days are learning days where you buy stuff that you probably will NOT pick up again (because of weak demand - weak resale price, even though the item is, to us, appealing!) The more we can hold out for the AWESOME items, the things we understand the demand for, the better our sales are in the long run....but it keeps things interesting to experiment and pick up "maybe?!" items along the way, plus there is that dopamine hit from just shopping...that burst of hopeful, triumphant, satisfied energy. The shopping part is clearly addictive that way.
Wait- did you get it?? I thought you'd passed on it. I thought something about it was really funny- I thought you should've gotten it. Something about his expression, idk. Lol
The pressure is real, even down here in regional southern Australia! With no credit card and no car LOL - hard mode! I often get jealous of the ocean of Goodwills in the US but videos like this make me feel better 😆Sourcing is 50% research, 50% luck. The first bits the easy one!
1) 💯 understand that “pressure to buy” feeling! 2) My thought on the really amateur pottery is that they are abandoned student projects that are donated by school districts at the end of the year or semester. 3) Weird pottery with hanging loop is a hummingbird feeder. 4) I think that busts could also appeal to folks with a dark academia/maximalist vibe. 🖤
oh no I forked out $3 for the exact same ceramic Mushroom! And from an antique booth, no less!😮 well but at least now, THANKS TO YOU, I LEARNED HOW TO SPOT THE MUSHROOM PHONIES!! ❤❤❤
Loved the shout out to Amanda, Im actually pretty sure that your channel was recommended to me ages ago because of watching her. Ive literally never found those milk glass hands out in the wild and oh em gee, you made such a great sale on those! I had no idea they sold for that much. (btw, im watching you with my burner account. lol my actual account is Spruced&Gussied.
Andi, I can't believe your luck finding bamboo furniture! I'm in socal and I literally NEVER find any cos it must get swooped up so fast if there ever is any. I applaud you for not buying just for the sake of buying for the video. I know it's so hard to leave empty handed. I always get something and I need to be a bit more discerning. Crazing is the crackles underneath the glaze of ceramics. Definitely not a crack, so don't confuse them.. People don't necessarily mind crazing in ceramics but cracks and chips are definitely a big no most of the time.
Crazed pottery is not considered food safe as bacteria can linger in the fine lines. But for decorative items I think it adds character. Love your channel! I feel the pressure to buy when there’d nada, but sometimes it forces me to look harder and I find next level treasure 😅😊
that "cute rustic wood piece" picture is scarier than the haunted tree for me. i hate to do this but now you're never going to unsee it. the trees are the eyes, the house the nose and the fence is a creepy smile.
Goodwill's pricing out the resellers. Prices are getting silly, and their clothes are getting closer and closer to retail. I almost don't mind the higher prices because it helps me to be more selective on what I pick up. I really don't care if they lose customers or not. Crazing is crackling in the glaze, but it's more just visible than actual damage. I have a pitcher I listed on Ebay that has quite a bit of crazing on the interior but doesn't affect it at all. 12:56 Don Quijote. You ever see Don Quijote by Picasso? Super SKINNNY.
I keep watching you pass up all the brown stuff and thinking "nooooooo I waaaant" and you getting it would be almost as good as me getting in since I'm in an inventory-acquiring freeze right now 😂
The prices are unreal….. I did love the light color pitcher 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 lol tiny ugly foot that good piece with the stopper is a bird feeder. ❤ 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Don’t buy if you wouldn’t put it in your own house. You don’t want a dead pile! I think you do better at estate sales. Garage sales are really good too. Lots of things that are less than $5.00. My daughter’s donated my hot rollers when I was sick. I paid $125 in 1984 , professional and they still worked. See you next week.
3:17 don’t just buy something - worst thing ever to start doing! 9:49 the bamboo stand is good & the 2 door cabinet is kind of cute & you could always add some legs
I have a similar table lighter thing listed in my Etsy and I get a Ton of ❤s on it, but no actual buyers! And I priced it in line with similar ones, soooo 🤷♀️
If you were an Old Mrs. Jenkins you would have got that piece. If I saw a Mrs. Stiles in an old world style I would grab it now in my wizened years...⏳
Goodwill is a business. First they make money. Then they worry about doing good. If charity was their first goal prices wouldn't be so high and the CEO wouldn't have such a high salary. FYI suitcases could have bedbugs!
Not a bad thing to take what works for others and incorporate it into your own. I watch Laura Caldwell (I actually watch her for inspiration for my channel.) and would love to copy her format, but just haven't gotten around to it.
Always buy your luggage new. What if drugs were previously transported in a donated case? A tracking dog could sniff out the drug residue in the case and bang, you go to jail! Buy new bags and luggage! Or stay away from airports!
Andi... I adore you you are a ray of sunshine 🌞 In this crazy world we live in! But come on Andi you talk yourself out of a lot of things. That wicker piece wasn't supposed to have legs. It was supposed to go on something else. I had one in the 70s. I think you could have made a killing on that but what do I know? I think you need to set up a rule system within your own self. Other than by price. You say you're not going to buy anymore mugs but you continue to buy them. You work so hard for 6 stores. That is a lot of time you have invested to not come out with a full 🛒! You definitely needed to go back with your son and check out that doll house because your face lit up like a 6 year old little girl. Sometimes Andi you have to do things for yourself. That dollhouse would have looked fantastic in your studio space. Let alone if you had it in your booth shop for atmosphere. I think you passed up a lot of goodies but I'm in Florida and we don't have that kind of variety. BTW.. do you know anybody that picks in Florida? Or has an Etsy shop from Florida? Because the difference in stock and prices is amazing to me. Maybe it's time you took your family to Walt Disney World here in Florida and pick Florida. Food for thought 💭🤔 I can't wait for your Belgium trip 🫶👍 I'm sure you can't either🎉✨🌍

Same here. 😊😊
How cool!
The hook on top with the stopper on the bottom is a hummingbird feeder - it's just missing the glass spout.
Came here to say that!
Same !!
Same ❤
I agree
The pitcher @ 19:33 I believe is called a Dutch Girl Pitcher/Jug.
Don’t know if that piece is vintage but that design goes way back. Blue Ridge Pottery, Shawnee made similar designs.
The fact it was signed Mrs Jenkins was really amazing.
That foot still there cracked me up!! 😂 I think the carved wood “kitty” is actually a fox.
I Loved how you did the haul❣️
Loved the staging at the end.
All the cracking on the "Mrs. Jenkins" pitcher is crazing.
The wood guy on the "toilet" looks like a Don Quixote piece. It looks pretty early, maybe 60's and they can have really good value! Some older hot roller sets are worth $$$! I always look them up. That pottery bowl at 20:00 was beautiful! I do love the way you style it all up at the end.
I think the upside down pottery piece is for a hummingbird feeder. The handmade mugs are an amazing score! ❤
Missing the glass spout at the bottom...think it fits in the plug?
I was thinking it was a rabbit water bottle, missing the spout.
New here, I have watched Laura for years, I’m really enjoying your Chanel and your personality. Always happy to see you🌻
lol we all love Amanda! I have never seen the hands at my goodwill.
Really enjoyed seeing the pieces styled.
Those handmade mugs you got were so pretty, loved the glazing. Also, as a cat owner and lover, I really liked the sleeping kitty figurine.
The wooden statue is Don Quixote, I hope you got it, those are pretty valuable - Spanish, obviously, from the 60s.
I kind of love the GIANT SPIDER at 12:45 that would get my attention!
8:49 collectable kitchen ware - sold same Landert brand, similar size for $80. Doesn’t come with a lid . It’s called a caquelon.
The styling was beautiful ❤. As far as riding the wave I've been doing that since the 90s, it's definitely a thing. Go with the flow young awesome vintage decor hunter 😊
Great montages at the end and music! Thank you
Loved the end where you styled the haul items! I know that feeling you have of pressure to buy and I'm really trying to ask myself, "would you have this in your own home?" - and if it's no, then I pass.

LOVE the styling video at the end! Keep it up ❤

Wow I don’t know how you went to so many stores ! Love those mugs !
The bottom of the blue and white pitcher is a good example of " crazing"
You do a great job of styling your items.
Styling great idea!
Andi, the Mrs. Jenkins pitcher was so cute! Love how you style your items.
Wait- did you get it?? I thought you'd passed on it. I thought something about it was really funny- I thought you should've gotten it. Something about his expression, idk. Lol
I too feel pressure to buy when there is nothing to buy. I think you did the right thing by resisting.
Wow! Youre amazing at styling vignettes! So pretty.
The mugs are beautiful!
Hi! Enjoyed shopping with you today. You purchased a lot of great items. Tfs
You’re doing great! Really enjoy watching your content, keep up the good work! Thank you. Also I got BonAmi , thanks for the suggestion

Would love to see the bottom of the pieces! Like that pottery/entertainment piece with AMAZING glaze! Wondering who it was made by!❤
Looks definitely like a hummingbird feeder just missing the tube feeder… awesome looking!
And the third store the little bamboo cabinet it’s a table top or a it goes on top of a credenza type small table
oh no I forked out $3 for the exact same ceramic Mushroom! And from an antique booth, no less!😮 well but at least now, THANKS TO YOU, I LEARNED HOW TO SPOT THE MUSHROOM PHONIES!! ❤❤❤
Great styling !!!

And the second store, the cigarette lighter along with the little matching vase is for holding cigarettes

Agree! Most items are for decoration rather than food safe and I fear too few people know this!

The cat tape dispenser still would have sold as is!
A small twig off your tree would fix it
You missed a darling kitty decorated bud vase! You were banging the Lincoln bust into it.
Loved the wood finds!!! ❤
I keep watching you pass up all the brown stuff and thinking "nooooooo I waaaant" and you getting it would be almost as good as me getting in since I'm in an inventory-acquiring freeze right now 😂
That doll house was so cool you should buy it if it’s still there
Six Stores!!! U are a true trooper!!! 💞💞🙃💞💞
I love your videos! I’m in Portland too❤
The wicker cabinet may have been on top of a stand of sorts at one time. Maybe that's why there's no feet? It's really nice, nonetheless.
Wish I could score some of those hands. Love her channel too.
I love thrifting, I am not a reseller, I never feel pressured to buy anything. 50% of the time I find something I love but mostly I like looking
You cracked me up about that little foot lol. Looking forward to seeing it priced at three bucks.😅
That cat vase though! Need!
I like that creepy tree. Lol
I’ll buy the wooden flower coasters!
Love your videos and can't wait for the next one! P.S. Im an electric roller gal!
Great video ❤
The prices are unreal….. I did love the light color pitcher 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 lol tiny ugly foot that good piece with the stopper is a bird feeder. ❤ 🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Def feel the pressure to get something even when there is nothing to get
Kat the Nurse Flipper just sold one of those old tabletop lighters, but she said it took 3 years 😅

The haunted tree ! 👻 Lol
Always love your videos❤
Did you thrift the wood carved pic at 13:22? I love that!
I call that super thin shiny brass "new brass" and the good stuff is "old brass" 😂😂
Same!
holy smokes on that GIANT spider!!
I liked the MCM ceramic lighter and matching cigarette holder.
I have a similar table lighter thing listed in my Etsy and I get a Ton of ❤s on it, but no actual buyers! And I priced it in line with similar ones, soooo 🤷♀️
It looked like that pottery piece with the stopper was a hummingbird feeder?? Missing the metal part that would drink from? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I love the mushrooms
The wood figurine of the man reading on the toilet with the skinny leg 🤣🤣🤣
You totally missed the brass hardware that goes for the vintage chips and dip bowls, which are very hard to find.
Did you get that hanging mushroom piece? I loved that.
If you were an Old Mrs. Jenkins you would have got that piece. If I saw a Mrs. Stiles in an old world style I would grab it now in my wizened years...⏳
I really like the wooden cat you bought. Do you have it listed and how do I find you on Etsy?
The wicker cabinet hangs on the wall gets it please
The hand is a soap dish from Avon
Back in the late 90s I saw one in a SoHo antique store for $125. lol They are cute, but didn't know they were from Avon.
It’s from Greece: there’s Greek writing on it. 8:16
Goodwill is a business. First they make money. Then they worry about doing good. If charity was their first goal prices wouldn't be so high and the CEO wouldn't have such a high salary. FYI suitcases could have bedbugs!
Have your son watch Mannequin, because it is THE best movie ever and then he will love mannequins. And Kim Cattral.
Hummingbird feeder
Is that a yellow Bitossi dachshund behind you?
Goodwill is raising prices everywhere
Andi, I kept shouting, “Wait, don’t leave that piece,” Maybe you’ll have second thoughts and be able to bring them home next time.😅😉
😆 Duplicating Laura Caldwells Style of displaying with music 😂 👍
Not a bad thing to take what works for others and incorporate it into your own. I watch Laura Caldwell (I actually watch her for inspiration for my channel.) and would love to copy her format, but just haven't gotten around to it.
The Lenox Tag said "set of 3" for 24.99. There should have been another piece.
Funny how GW gives store credit even though you just bought it and have your receipt, but any retail store will accept EVERY return for a full refund.
You can add feet. 😊
Always buy your luggage new. What if drugs were previously transported in a donated case? A tracking dog could sniff out the drug residue in the case and bang, you go to jail! Buy new bags and luggage! Or stay away from airports!

Upside down jug with stoper just needs a spout ...Hummingbird feeder !
