@@ToyotaWorldRunners if you're ever in the Pennsylvania New York Jersey area let me know I got some beautiful hidden places I'm only 27 and currently building my 97 ZJ did so much to it already just need the rooftop tent to take my daughter and wife on off-road adventures again our recent overland vehicle got completely destroyed with the three of us inside the vehicle rolled for about a quarter-mile it was 3 in the morning the wife was behind the wheel as it was happening just about the last roll I thought we were done for but thankfully my daughter was completely unharmed all the windows got broken out the roof got caved in it was one hell of an experience I had a police siren on it cuz I used it for shows thank God I had it on there because they would have never heard us deep down in the ditch and we were over 2,000 miles away from home when it happened 😔 that was two years ago wish that never happens again and my old mud truck is just too old to keep up anymore at 482000k miles 91 ram charger 318 those are extremely fun vehicles to build
Agree. It just takes time to build out the following. I saw you have your route maps posted somewhere. Is that only on patreon? Would like to see what path you are taking down there and correlate it with videos to help know what I am getting myself into. :)
Wow! Totally stunning. I've said it before, but I'll say it again. This series is easily my favorite content on TH-cam right now. As your channel grows, and the sponsors come knocking on your door, I hope you won't resort to ill disguised segments of "oh, by the way, I couldn't live without ..." for half the episodes, as is so common these days. I've quit watching some other former favorite channels because they resorted to wasting half the time of each episode to "hidden" sponsorship BS. The genuine experiences and your honest storytelling is what makes this channel so cool.
I understand where you're coming from as it gets tiresome to watch wholly uninspired sponsorship content. However, many creators on TH-cam work extremely hard to provide high quality content on a consistent schedule that requires a full time effort. If you enjoy the content, you should understand that they deserve to be able to live comfortably and grow their career at the same time that they're saving for retirement. I think it's a fine line to balance a channel's quality with ambition and greed. In many cases, I think a sponsorship from a useful product or service is a good demonstration of success. We should support Matt and Stacey getting more sponsors on board with their mission if that's one of their goals.
@@steveneate for sure, these guys (and many others) work really hard to produce the amazing content that we enjoy. I'm just worried that when the sponsors start financing their content, the freedom to create what they are passionate about may decrease due to contractual obligations. Last time I watched a The Story Till Now episode, I almost threw up in my mouth, and I couldn't even watch 5 minutes of it. It's sad, because it used to be a great channel. I really hope that doesn't happen to these guys, that's all. I guess becoming a Patreon supporter is one way of decreasing that risk.
@@henrikm4657 TSTN is exactly what I had in mind when I mentioned uninspired content. It's pretty bad in some episodes. He does film some incredible and inspired content in original settings as well though, and it's impressive to see his success and channel growth. When an episode feels like more of a sales pitch than a story or experience, that's when I stop watching. There have been episodes I shut off and didn't come back to.
Thank you so much for the comment! We would love to have more sponsors on board as that would take a bit of the load off our bank accounts, but we will 100% only bring on sponsors that align with our values and channel integrity.
Awesome post. Made it up to your motherland. Took Icefields Parkway from Banff to Jasper. Glorious. “It’s not the Mountain we conquer but ourselves”. The climb speaks to your character but the view speaks to your soul.
Ok funny story for you guys if you ever see this comment. I once told my husband that I'd love to see Niagara Falls. He said if I wanted to see a waterfall he'd put a rock in the sink and turn the faucet on. Instant waterfall lol in that same vein, if you want to see a glacier and avoid a long, arduous hike, I'll pile up some rocks and put an ice cube on top! I'm really enjoying this series. How do you have only 60some thousand subs? You should be in the millions!
My wife and I hiked from 12,400 up to 15,300 on Santa Isabel. Nevada del Ruiz. It was awesome. I almost didn’t make it but a group of 20 something hikers walk past saying you will regret it…. So we tracked on up the remaining 700 ft to the glacier. I was almost 50 at the time and my wife 41 ish and she did better then me. My wife is Colombian and walked a lot more then me at the time so she was a trooper. A great experience for sure. And i would have regretted it as was told to me but a group of young girls. Thanks girls…lol
Haha we can relate!! Our guide told us once we reached a certain point that he didn’t allow anyone to turn back… he would wait all day for us to finish because he knew we would regret it.

Hello again from the south Okanagan. My goodness it's impressive and so very different how folks live up in such high elevations. We were up cutting firewood - next year's or the next after - and looking to bring home something for supper as it's that time of year here. Another incredible journey and another icredible video. I so enjoyed that you took days to reach the glacier when it was supposed to be measured in hours. That's my kind of travel there. I thought that one Tom Turkey was about to attack the truck. He obviously did not like you coming through his territory. I was very impressed by your guide. Not only did he speak English, he seemed to have a great understanding of the ecosystems in the area. I think you guys need a couple of easy days to catch up from that hike.
Thank you Phil! We are so grateful for our chosen speed: slow. Ha! It has changed our travel journey from the destinations to everything in between. I’m sure we will remember getting to the top of the glacier for years to come, but I’m positive that the memory right beside it will be of the smiling families encouraging us to camp on their property and the vocal turkeys.
At 11:30 on the video why were you guys pushing the young calf and not letting the rancher get ahold of it it was weird how you guys clearly saw it in front of you but you kept on rolling thing could have got spooked and jumped
We were rolling very slow.. this happens on most roads in Latin America, the farmers always encourage us to keep moving. We would never intentionally spook it.
Excellent videos, photography beautifully done, unique, great adventures, but the music in the videos, especially the rock music that sounds like a Yukon gold-search TV special, is intrusive and ruins the experience. Sometimes the music is too loud. Sometimes it doesn't match the mood of the situation. Almost always it is too prevalent. The taste in music is poor. In most cases silence, just the sound of the truck and surroundings, would be superior.
Congratulations! I am a Colombian living in the U.S.A. for more than 40 years.

I assumed Canada was full of glaciers. Lol
Are the watermelon better down there then they are here in Canada?
YES! Every piece of fruit we’ve eaten feels like the flavour has been turned up!

Y Honduras?🇭🇳
Excellent videos, photography beautifully done, unique, great adventures, but the music in the videos, especially the rock music that sounds like a Yukon gold-search TV special, is intrusive and ruins the experience. Sometimes the music is too loud. Sometimes it doesn't match the mood of the situation. Almost always it is too prevalent. The taste in music is poor. In most cases silence, just the sound of the truck and surroundings, would be superior.

Dig the content and tried following, but too many pointless "shorts" clog up my subscriptions feed. Had to unsubscribe.
Sad. You're viewing on mobile I assume? On desktop or TV you can sort shorts, videos etc.
