Sorry this video did not publish in 4K for some reason! Hopefully it updates. I always use 4K for my videos :)
Still amazing. Sometimes the wait (publishing time for 4K) is not worth it. Your videos are always golden. I love your channel so very much. I would love to turn my channel into what you do. Keep up the awesome work.
I like the balance they strive to keep by allowing visitors to see spots while still respecting important places for native people
I agree, it is nice to see how well taken care of the park was.
That scenery is so gorgeous. Once again, you have brought us to breathtaking sites. Thank you for sharing these marvelous experiences with us, Josh and Pops... I absolutely love the way you present your videos, Josh. They are filled with adventures, and you present them in a relaxing, refreshing, and very entertaining way. I'm not sure if I would have done that last part, to be honest.🤔🙃 🏞 🛣🚙👏🏻👏🏻
Glad you enjoyed it! Yea, the skywalk is not for everyone haha
Jasper is beautiful! We did this trip this summer! Loved it and would like to go back and see it without the smoke from the wild fires!
I would love to see it without the smoke as well!
I absolutely love ❤ Jasper and Banff National Parks !! Breathtaking !!! Worth every penny !!!
It is such a stunning place!
Fantastic video!! I live in Alberta, and Jasper is truly my favourite place on earth ❣️❣️. You will have to come back and spend more time in beautiful Alberta !!
I would love to! I only got to spend a half day in Banff as well, I need a full week!
ur so lucky ❤
Jasper is my favourite place in the world! The entire area is amazing, the mountains are amazing, the wildlife is amazing and the people are just so nice! I have been there many times over the years, but my favourite was in 2018 when we got engaged on top of the glacier!! Just an amazing place!
Fantastic... I spent some time in Jasper 4-5 years back and brought back a lot of great memories. Also reminded me it's time to get back up there. Thank you as always for the great content.
I was blown away by how beautiful it was! I am glad you got to see it as well
Jasper is stunning! I also got to hike on Athabasca Glacier like you did and we also saw a few Bears :D
I heard the Maligne Lake road is great for bear/wildlife spotting in the early morning and evening
So cool! We didn't see any bears but we had a great time!
Great impressive footage capturing the beautiful alluring scenery as the gift of the mother nature that entice some of the viewers to keep on watching, thanks for sharing and bringing us to this wonderful relaxing place and stay safe always.
Thanks for beautiful views as always
No problem!
Your dad is very brave for looking over that bridge My wife and I love your videos
One word: AMAZING 😀
Awesome views, wildlife, and tours! Thank you for taking us along! We hope to get there someday!
Oh my gosh, there is nothing on this video that isn't stunning. Visiting is on my bucket list now! I did the skywalk at the Grand Canyon and I was so scared I don't remember much of what I saw. What I remember is the feeling of relief when I was back on land. Thanks for sharing this adventure. I've never heard of this park but seeing it through your lens - yep, definitely want to go.
Wow, so much beauty in this video! Amazing
Reminds me of my 1993 drive from Chicago to Fairbanks. The Icefield Parkway was perhaps the most scenic part of the trip and Athabasca Falls were raging when I was there. I may have to return.
Oh wow, I bet that was amazing. I agree that the Icefield Parkway was one of the best parts of the drive!
Glad you and Pops got to hit the Jasper to Banff Highway on the way back from Alaska. One of the most beautiful drives in the world, and both parks are amazing, as are all the other national parks in the area!! Incredible adventures this summer!
Wow man ! These views is vibes ! You and pops doin it right man !!!👏
Thank uuu! I wait for your videos every weekend. So refreshing and a great way to end my weekend 👍
So glad you enjoy them, really appreciate that!
❤️😀🇺🇸🌏Jasper was amazing! Thank you so much Josh and aPops!
My family spent our vacation in 2001 visiting Bannf and Jasper. We stayed at Beckers Chalet cabins on the Athabaska river just outside of Jasper. We did a side trip to Yoho National Park. You missed the gondola ride in Jasper. Thank You as the memories came back watching your video. Cheers🎉
This is ridiculously beautiful!
We are with Pops! No skywalk! 😮😮😮
Thanks for sharing our fav place in the world. Shame you guys just had 24 hours. Even 24 years won't be enough for Canadian Rockies. Looking forward to the next one.
Really enjoyed this video. I used to work the Spruce Meadows Masters horse shows (as a photographer) every September. When the show wrapped up, I headed into the mountains. Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper. So beautiful. The drive from Calgary to Jasper is jaw dropping the whole way. My first visit to Alberta, I got stranded there on 9/11 but that's another story! Now that I've seen your video, I realize that I need to get back there soon. It's been too long.
you are so blessed you get to travel with you dad.
Thank You for the trip! What a beautiful world we live in. Lucky you have your Dad to travel with. I miss my Dad every day
Fabulous, awesome , beautiful just wonderful all around Thank you for sharing Jeff and Pops always a blessing I have anxiety but I'd rather see what its like down below Pops you'll be okay
So glad you enjoyed the video!
@andreajohnson1796 Working on getting over my anxiety.
Sorry about Josh's name my phone decided to give him a new name
Loved the beautiful video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wow!! Beautiful video. Thank you for sharing.
The scenery is STUNNING! You are so blessed to take these trips with Pop's and will have many precious memories.
I'd be terrified but I think I would still do it. Odds are definitely in my favor that it's not gonna collapse. Just beautiful video thank you so so much.❤
haha I know what you mean, I had to think about it really hard to do it as well
Im excited for a new video from you.
Glad you liked it!
Sweet!!! My family was just talking about going to Jasper. Now I’m getting excited to plan the trip!
It is a beautiful place!
Omg, I think I’m with Pops on the skywalk. Mike on the other hand is with you Josh!
Loved the scenery. I would hang out with Pops. I don't like heights anymore, either. Thanks for sharing
so beautiful and unique .thank you .❤❤
Most welcome 😊
No way would I do the skywalk!!! My legs were wobbly just watching this. Great info though. We’re one of 3 couples planning an 8 week trip to AK next Spring. So awesome to watch your videos. TY for sharing!!
WOW!! What an abundance of stunning beauty!!! And so accessible!!! ♥♥♥
Wow! What an epic summer you had! Alaska and Canadian national parks. So much beauty and awe inspiring sights.
Loving these father and son videos. I also gave a like👍🏽 for pops for dealing with the fear of heights. Let’s go Pops!!!
Wow! Jasper National Park is spectacular.
👏👏👏bravo for Pops for defeating the fear of heights one battle at a time! That fear will be history soon enough💪
That sky walk is crazy, I'm with your dad on that, I thought the one at House on the Rock in Wisconsin was stomach churning. 🤢😵💫
I definitely would be hanging out with Pops while you checked out the Skywalk!😅
The scenery is incredible!! 😮Thanks for the tour!!
Thank you very much for this video, as always, well done! I’m with you, Pops…. there’s absolutely no way I’m going on that skywalk! I just barely made it across the Sundial Bridge in Redding! 😂
Finally, been waiting for this since you announce it last year. Can't wait for the Banff episode.
So glad you liked it! We didn't spend much time in Banff unfortunately but I do have a video on the Icefields Parkway which includes some Banff
One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in my life 😍😍😍
So glad to find this channel. You and Pops are fun to watch and your videos are great. Thanks for sharing your adventures.
Wow !
Thanks for the comment!
Fantastic.🥰👍👍
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
wow very interesting content friend
Way to go Pops!
I agree!
@esietangle9931 Thanks for the support!!
What a superb place! The scenery and wildlife were spectacular. I, however, would have stayed with Pops- no amount of coaxing or even $$$ would have made me get close to that walkway- it made me nervous even watching you on it despite knowing you would be fine since you made the video!! Thanks for sharing.
haha I know what you mean, it is pretty crazy for sure!
@DyanK614 I think I am getting a little better with some of my fears.
I guess there’s hope for me yet!!!
Another great video❤
Thank you 🤗
Wow, (i think) we did the Columbia Glacier when I was a kid (or a similar one). Based on the vehicles, as they look exactly like I remember them. I remember being in the back of that vehicle while going down and then back up the 10% grade to access the glacier. Very cool memory.
Oh wow, that's a 33% grade to get onto the glacier? For some reason l, in my head I'm remembering 10%, but it was like 40 years ago. Lol
So cool that you got to do it as well! It was pretty crazy to drive out on the ice
I haven't been to a lot of nature sight country, been to new zealand and canada. Canada is by far the most beautiful country I have been to when it comes to nature. I would love to go there again.
It is an incredibly beautiful place!
Gr8 content y’all👍
I am like pops afraid of highs, I always said “ Is better a Coward Alive, then a Valient death 😂😂😂😂😂
haha that is a great quote!
@GABYLOPEZFL1 They truly are words to LIVE by!
@@ThroughMyLens😂😂😂😂😂
@@popshikingright 🙏🏼💙
Great video! And you can add onto your trifecta: You also drank water from a glacier! Thank you.
I'm with Pops. I would just get the postcard of the skywalk.
Thanks for coming up here to Alberta. It is so beautifully in our provincial and national parks. The Rockies are so nice. I'm too scared of heights to go on the Sky Walk. Cheers! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️🇨🇦
It is such a beautiful place, I would love to spend A LOT more time in Alberta!
I'm with Pops on the skywalk, seating on the bench
You're in good company
@roulab8657 We can sit together and be scared! Hahaha
I really miss your videos on tv.
That is awesome you watch them on TV! Sorry this one didn't publish 4k for some reason
I took my elderly parents to Banff can we drove up to the glacier. I highly suggest going at the beginning of June or just in June because there is still a lot of snow on the mountaintops and not a lot of tourists. I highly suggest the drive south of Canmore to Peter Lockheed provincial Park. It was absolutely stunning as well
I want to do this trip!!
Have been enjoying watching your trip in Alaska and reliving our trip last year. We were scheduled to do this tour this past June, however, the tour was cancelled because of snow!
Your Dad is cool! :o)
I love your videos. Like Pops, I am afraid of high, open spaces. I avoid climbing lighthouse stairs. I would be freaking out on that gondola ride you guys did in Canada - where Pops was brave enough to venture forth! I don't think it's the height that really bothers me, it's the thought of falling to my death. One time, I was on the roof of the World Trade Center Towers. No problem because the platform was not near the edge. However, I couldn't sit by a window inside of the Towers, just too high for me! I was also on the observation deck of the Empire State Building. Again, no problem because the wall was waist high, and there are iron bars to keep you from falling. Watching the heights in your videos makes me nervous! I was at Acadia National Park many years ago. I don't remember those cliff walks with all of the iron stairs and railings. Probably because I was too afraid to venture forth. It amazes me those are open since they have signs saying people have fallen to their deaths! I used to have a fear of walking across high bridges. However, my brother lived in San Francisco for many years, and I have walked across the Golden Gate Bridge many times without incident! When you are an old man, you will appreciate that you had the opportunity to spend this much time with Pops! Keep up the good work with your videos! Your videos give me the opportunity to explore so many places without having to leave home! If you are ever doing a video in Upstate NY (Cooperstown area) send me a note and we'll have you over for a burger on the grill at our summer cottage there!
Beuatuful....I don't blame pop's!!
This park is amazingly beautiful. And I agree with Pops. Skywalk is not for me 😅
I feel identified with his fear of heights. I went on the skywalk at Grand Canyon and I closed my eyes didnt see anything 😂😂😂
❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤
im up the back as well
What's you're guys favorite national park.
In the USA - Yellowstone and Yosemite but haven't done much outside of the USA so this one is pretty high up!
@@ThroughMyLens yea there really sick
@adolfofranquez8349 My favorite will always be Yosemite, but like Josh after visiting Yellowstone it is a very close second. Also enjoyed Wrangle-St Elias on our last Alaska trip.
@@popshiking good picks.😊
Is the glacier trucks the only way to access the Icefields Skywalk?
I'm with Pops!! No way am I walking on glass suspended over a bottomless pit 😳😳😳
haha fair enough!
@lorisasser3219 That clear viewing platform was nuts! No way for me. You can see how nervous I was just walking out and back by how close I was to the wall! Haha!
Beautiful trip, but I'm with your dad, no skywalk for me.
This video actually defaulted to 480p, much better at 1080p 😁
14:55 the sky walk is fixed ? was closed when i went there in 2021 cool !
Yea it was open, it was pretty cool
Pops!! Have you looked into "PRP" platelets rich plasma injection? I've done it once for my shoulders 6 months ago. Taking no ibuprofen or anything, shoulders still hurt a bit no lie but I'm working on getting it again at almost 6 months. Better than steroid injections. ✌️ Wheelchair John in Idaho
Love it , did your dad get any grief for his American flag hat?
haha I didn't even think about that hat from Alaska but no one said anything
@mikewatson5281 I also had a Canada one so maybe that helped! Hahaha
Seems a bit nutty to take people out to walk- slide on ice without providing slip on Stabilizers tondo so.
Are dogs allowed on these trails ?
I am not sure about that but I didn't see any so maybe not
I would be hanging with pops! not big on heights
haha fair enough, it is a little crazy
@lorisheppard5916 Many comments about hanging back with me. We would be quite a crowd! Hahaha
too short 24 hours! and sad pop didn't get on the boat ride.
haha I agree, I wish we could have spent longer as well
@mixeddrinks8100 True, but I really enjoyed the hike I did. The vid Josh posted of the little squirrel was so cool. I stood right next to him in the tree for probably 5 minutes. It was a fun little visit.
Walking on the Skywalker? NOPE!! NOPE!! NOPE!!
I’m with Pops……that’s a big NO to the skywalk 💀
Fair enough!
@paultucker1272 Thanks for the support! Hahaha
Nope, nope nope, not doing the skywalk.
How is it that you publish a 1080p? We are in 2024 already and any of the latest MacBooks with an M series processor can compress a 4K video quickly. There are 4K TVs almost in every home here in the US. Do you realize that 1080 resolution is 1/4th the quality of a 1080 video? I assume you do as a TH-camr and if you don’t I can give you the data that you can also google quickly. If I were a TH-camr I would NEVER EVER publish a 1080p video nowadays. The galaxy S23 already records 8K videos. My wife and I like your content and have been following you for years, please don’t ruin your channel because there are some of us out there who notice the quality difference of a 1080p video immediately; after all it is 75% less pixels.
So weird! I always post in 4k, not sure why this one is not 4k. Thanks for letting me know!
