“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life - and travel - leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks - on your body or on your heart - are beautiful.” Anthony Bourdain. Another epic post.
Meg and Stacey are the same person...I swear. ALWAYS chasing animals when the animals don't want to be chased. Another great vid! Getting us stoked to see Colombia!
Admiración Y Respeto Dios bendiga nuestra Patria🇨🇴🇨🇴 Un abrazo muy grande para usted dos por tan hermoso documental y recorrer Colombia éxitos y que su experitu viajero perdure por Siempre! ❤❤🇨🇴🇨🇴
Awesome. You folks need to be rewarded for showing us the beautiful & true side of Colombia. The scenery, the people & the food! Last week we saw you snacking on Mangosteen, we reminisced about a trip we did years ago to Sulawesi where we feasted on them, Snake Fruit & fresh roasted cashews - it was almost like a life changer for us...much like we hope this experience is for you! Thank you 🙏❤️✌️
I think our reward is being able to live and share this experience with others in hopes they will want to do the same. We wake up every day so grateful to be where we are, doing what we’re doing. This will forever be a life changing chapter of our lives that books won’t even begin to comprehend. 🙏🏼
Zorro means fox in Spanish. Love you guys! I swear, I can't wait for the huge book you'll someday publish, full of huge photographs and journal entries on thick glossy pages!
It just keeps getting better and better, that panoramic view of the cross was insane not to mention the church and those views of the waterfall… I look forward to watching your show! Y'all be safe and God bless
Saludos from Manizales. My wife bumped into you guys while you were staying at a finca in Manizales. Wishing you all the best on your journey. We just discovered your videos today, they are amazing.
There is so much more Latin America than we know. Thanks for cracking the window open and allowing us to peek in. You're gonna have another patreon member very soon....
As I was watching this, I thought that the greatest part of your adventure is that you stay so far off of the beaten path. While having that thought, I realized that the roads you travel are often not much more than a path beaten through the world. Much like the "B" side of an old record, you are showing us the beauty of the parts that aren't the most popular, but somehow even better.
It’s funny, sometimes it’s not planned but we always make sure to try and film the roads we end up on. The unexpected off beaten paths tend to tell the best stories, and that has been our favourite part of the trip so far.
At the start of this video I was thinking after the video I was going to leave a comment asking what happened to the beer reviews? And wouldn't you know it towards the end.........Beer review! 👏 you guys are awesome! Keep living the dream.
Nice old Hilux, I wanted one but ended up with an 85 Fj62. I'm from the states but have been in Antioquía Colombia 10+ years, the 50 mil pesos is basically a tip to stop their days progress, pull up all their materials I.e. that wood on the sides used for framing, and make way for you to pass through. My area's been like that for 2 years now. FYI, Concrete is passable for motorcycles in 1 day, light vehicles in 5-7 and heavy equipment in 4 weeks. The main reason I usually go exploring on my motorcycle, 50k in 18 months all in Colombia. There's tons of cool off the beaten path spots here in Colombia! I've noticed Caldas has more thought and signs designed for tourism though. Nice vids, happy trails!
Awesome, you guys are putting your efforts to make a beautiful travel documentaries for people like us, who's searching every day for a new episode !!!
for the last few episodes i was burning with envy, but now i burn with impatience for the next episode. very very few people can invest personally monetarily in these kind of adventures. but u 2 define the new term of adventure.
te esperamos en la patagonia saludos desde neuquen argentina, cuando lleguen tienen que pasar a visitar san martin de los andes. we are waiting for u, here in the patagonia i hope u enjoy argentina.
I really like your channel! I've watched just 2 or 3 episodes so far and you two are very entertaining:) Love the Chinook Toyota. The build looks very nice. I currently have a 07 FJ Cruiser and recently sold a 78 Hilux w motorhome sketch conversion.. Enjoy your trip!
Matthew, Land Rover series 1,2,2a and 3 then the defender came out in the early 80’s . Everything before that was a series car 👍🏼 I have two series2a cars so I better know this 😂
I became friends with one lady who recently came from Columbia, hot married to one of my neighbors. She often speaks of beauty of her country. I see longing and sadness on her face. She speaks of hardships, uncertainty and fear for her life, because so much violence, stealing....detailing incidents when she only by a miracle stayed alive. She also says, it's not isolated to one area only, but widespread. So, as the country is blest by beautiful nature, it's not fair to present it as adventurers paradise. Just saying....
You guys are cute, and your footage is breathtaking! And of course the custom Chinook is amazing. I have an 86 sr5 pickup with over half a million miles on the bottom end. They seem to live a long time here in the PNW. I am considering converting the 22re so it runs on propane and gasoline. Any advice? Looking forward to more content.
Some of the poorest people on this jem have trillion dollar view, very nice post , jealous of ya for coffee, as sitting down here with coffee on fire , thanks for lol ( never knew crist was a free diver ) drone flyby,, definitely $$ grab 8 days my ass 😂 Bountiful rice feild for the win, hot pool made ya look like ya had one big fart Fantastic scenery, paddocks on side of cliff, people everywhere just being the best of humanity at such bad times giving this old stoner hope for his granddaughters future Thanks again for reminding me to like post don't know why i don't at start ya never have failed me yet 💯💯👍🤙🖖
Its a Land rover, Spanish Santana. If you come to Bogota, shoot me a line, i will treat coffee Colombian ofcourse. That was a small bribe, ticks me off , on how they take advantage of turist sometimes. Its not the money, its the principal. Guys be careful.
That is a fruit. Curuba. Typically it is made into a juice. I don't think I ever met anyone who ate that in any other form. I'm Colombian and i have never seen all the things that you guys have seen. I did go to Minizales once. I have lived in the US the better part of my life.
We do not have a bathroom in the chinook. In Latin America, most of our camping has been at sites with restrooms available, or else we use the shovel a hole method! We do not have a shower either, so whenever we can swim or stay at a site or hotel, we use their facilities!
hello guys if you guys still in colombia I invite you to my place here in santander el cañon del chicamocha very nice place close to barichara. you camp in my place. cheers guys

Thank you for this 🙏🏼
As overlander ourselves, the consequence of leaving small footprints is local impressions of you is as slight as what you left behind
Probably the best Colombia mountain footage on TH-cam, Brilliant!!!!!

Amazing video of beautiful Colombia.

You guys are starting to get a good subscriber base, for good reason. I've been following you since way back before you built this thing in Nanaimo!
An OG! Haha slowly but surely 🫡
At first, only clicked on your video to check out the truck, now I'm hooked on the whole journey. Fantastic job you two.

Stacey struggling to resist rolling her eyes (and failing) at the “axis of coffee” fist thump on the table 😂😂
Key words: “and failing” 😂
Another amazing episode! When you were going through that ruddy, muddy path, I'm amazed at how solid the Yota is. Y'all did a good job with the build.
We are consistently impressed with the chinook! The weight down low helps a lot!
Smashin that button
🔨
Lots of cool drone shots!
Now, that’s a weird way to eat curuba!!!😂
Amazing epik video

We seriously do. Haha but embracing the caveman style for a little longer
KILLING it as usual guys 🤟🤟🤟
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Done it again❤️ loved it! The 8 day concrete is a scream! Funny how money makes it dry 🤔🤑🤣
Isn’t it 😂😂
Awesome as always, love the drone footage at the start (and througout). Would you call that beer "sessionable" 🙂🙂
Thank you!! And honestly, YES! Haha but aren’t all cervezas sessionable? We can’t seem to have just one 😂
Absolutely love these videos. One thing, are we missing the drive from Guatemala to Costa Rica, or did they take another route?
We love Colombia!
Here in Ecuador, Caruba is known as Taxo. Too me very similar flavor to Maracuyá (passion fruit).
When he spooned it out I thought that it looked a lot like passion fruit too !
Babe, Toyota World Runners just posted!!
🍻

Thank you!! We haven’t converted anything to propane so unfortunately we can’t speak to it. Power to 22REs though!
Great series! Have you had any dangerous experiences while camping in Mexico or Central America?
We did not! We were very particular and did a lot of research to ensure safety!
Brasil tá perto... hehe
Do you filter all of your drinking water?
Did you wire up the lockers?
Land Rover Series II. Defender came later after the Series

Would like to buy a Word Runner T Shirt!
Not a Defender. Series II, or IIA Land-Rover. Likely a Santana build version.
Gotcha! 🤙🏼
Hahaha....even the road crew can be bribed
Go to Venezuela
Can you do a price breakdown how much you guys spend on gas and food etc per month so we can see if we can do this ourselves too haha
One thing you guys never discussed is Restroom and showers?
How qnd where do you use the restroom in the middle of the night?
We do not have a bathroom in the chinook. In Latin America, most of our camping has been at sites with restrooms available, or else we use the shovel a hole method! We do not have a shower either, so whenever we can swim or stay at a site or hotel, we use their facilities!
how much spare Fuel do you travel with?
Is Gaia gps reliable in South America? I’ve been using that in D.R to navigate around
It’s been really good so far! We relay between a few different maps to be sure always though.
When in coffee country did you happen to meet “Juan Valdez”?😂🤣
Quite a few times! He was every where!😂
hello guys if you guys still in colombia I invite you to my place here in santander el cañon del chicamocha very nice place close to barichara. you camp in my place. cheers guys
