2014 Mirage is very easy to change oil or change a head light. This car is very easy to maintain. Oh yea, it uses the least expensive tires you can get. My kind of car. Less is more! It will last a long time.
It's easy to change oil on a Mercedes. What's your point?
I got a Mitsubishi Mirage a week ago. Loving it! Great car. Gets very unfair reviews!
bizarrebob Bob did u get manual or CVT? Whats your mpg so far?
I'm considering one of these for our second car that will only see city driving, about 10 miles a day total. Kind of humorous that my last motorcycle had almost TWICE the horsepower! And BTW, F*** that cold ass weather! I'm happy to live in L.A. where we are getting sick of "cold" winter temps in the 60s!
If you really care about GREEN, buy cars like this. I just love it when I see its MPG
I'll be honest, I sell Mitsus. But I think it's fairly fun for the money. Sharp high-speed turns are a little scarey due to body roll but the actual steering is pretty good for electric. I drive one as often as I can, when making a trip across town for work because it's a blast.
i sell mitsus too,
same thing!
i actually had my personal car get hit my a drunk driver and I was at the rental place and they owed me something like an altima and i requested the mirage!
hehe its awesome
Well done video in every way. :)
now on sale for $9998 with a 10yr warranty...I am thinking about one!
haha you cant even shut off traction control on a jetta or passat
No ac
Does the Mirage have a dead, numblike, steering feel as other testers have remarked about.
Some reviewers claim that this small machine is NOT fun to drive.
What's your verdict concerning this?
Peace...

Thanks for watching. The Mirage steering is best described as city car assist, meant to be nimble in tight spaces. Some may find it a tad over-assisted. I have driven the CVT version, not my first choice. With a 5-speed, plus the low curb weight, performance is more than adequate. As for fun-to-drive, you would be hard pressed to find anything at the price point that will captivate. The Mirage is to 2014 what the Tercel S was to 1988; simple, basic transportation. If you have 5K more to spend, that puts you into small cars with more impressive dynamics, like the Mazda3, with decent equipment. Consider the Dodge Dart, with a platform born of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. Remember; the Mirage is a $12,498 car. By the same token, it's not a car that gets 10 times better, at higher trim levels. If you have the bread for a loaded Mirage, that puts you into a lot more car from other makes.
Keep the shiny side up, and the rubber side down!
